hello, up for sale is my 2003 mercedes cl600. I own an import repair shop and bought this car from california to work on and enjoy. I will list all of the maintenance i have performed as well as the condition. 500hp and 600 lb/ft of torque. $132,000 new!! The reason i am selling is i enjoyed the twin turbo v12 so much that i bought a 2004 sl600 that needs a few repairs and i cant keep both so why not keep the convertible right? this cl is in excellent shape and has had all of the expensive maintenance parts replaced withing the last 2000 miles. please keep that in mind when comparing to other cl's with a clear title. its very easy to buy a used one of these and spend $5000-$8000. the car has a rebuilt california title from a prior theft recovery a few years back. i see no evidence of any paintwork. I am very particular with my cars and can assure prospective buyers the car is as nice as described. i will even offer a money back guarantee. if u show up and dont like the car, you are not obligated to buy it. look at my feedback and see i dont play games. it would be easiest to describe the car over the phone since i have done so many upgrades and routine maintenance so please feel free to call me at 320-291-1055. i will do my best to describe it on here as well.
pictures are from this spring, i will try to update them this week. interior is excellent but the pictures make it look wierd. its dark black inside even though picure sucks. i also have a great company i work with that can ship it if you decide to do that. usually $700-$1000 in the 48 contiguous states
-no fluid leaks, loose suspension parts, warning lights or issues mechanically. period, i will even put that in writing, i fix imports for a living, i will put the car up on the hoist for u to verify upon pickup
-new abc pump from mercedes along with high pressure hose and dampener ($1800 just for parts, i have receipts)
-new tires (all 4) and front and rear pads and rotors within the last 3000 miles
-new front control arms
-new spark plugs and valve cover gaskets
-new k&n air filters and fuel filter
-new abc fluid and filter
-new coolant
-new transmission fluid and filter
-new a/c compressor($600)
-new serpentine belt and all 4 tensioner and idler pulleys
-new alignment and oil change
-awesome alpine touch screen dvd /bluetooth cd player with backup camera and hands free phone setup. can stream music right from your phone and talk hands free
-alpine v12 amplifier mounted in trunk with no wires showing (says v12 like the car, looks factory!!) 7 channel amp and all speakers are connected. alpine 10" sub mounted in factory location
-brand new battery
-factory resonators have been removed for an awesome exhaust sound with no drone and not obnoxious
-clear marker lights in place of ugly orange
-every single option works except the soft close trunk latch is a little finicky.
-never seen snow or salt, no door dings or rust anywhere!
-extremely fast car that looks great and has an awesome stereo with no problems and all maintenance done. turn key vehicle.
please call me at 320-291-1055 for more info. Thx, Tony.

France formally moves to ban Mercedes vehicles using contested refrigerant
Wed, 31 Jul 2013That didn't take long. Shortly after a French administrative court gave the French government a ten-day window to reconsider its ban on registrations of Mercedes-Benz A-, B- and CLA-Class cars using the prohibited R134a refrigerant, the government cited an EU directive to formalize banning the sale of the cars. The country's environmental ministry said that registrations "will remain forbidden in France as long as the company does not to conform to European regulations," meaning so long as they do not use the approved R1234yf refrigerant.
Daimler had won the administrative court decision by challenging France's application of a "safeguard" provision in which the EU allows a country to block sales of cars that would "seriously harm the environment." In spite of Daimler's victory, France has cited that very provision as basis for the continuation of the ban.
Daimler got permission from Germany's KBA federal motor authority to keep selling cars with the coolant banned by EU politicians, and is using that national permission as the right to sell the cars throughout Europe. Meanwhile, above that battle, German politicians are asking the EU to let Mercedes sell the cars in France while the KBA does more testing, at the same time as the EU is threatening Germany with repercussions if it doesn't bring the KBA and Daimler into line.
Race recap: 2016 Bahrain Grand Prix was everything good and bad about F1
Mon, Apr 4 2016Nothing was as it seemed heading into Bahrain. We were told team bosses had nixed the qualifying experiment that flunked every test by every measure in Australia, but that didn't happen. The FIA didn't give the teams the option of a wholesale return to the old format, the governing body only held a vote on whether to revert back to the old format in Q3 but stick with elimination gimmicks in Q1 and Q2. McLaren and Red Bull dissented, denying the chance for hybrid rounds. We're surprised none of the smaller teams voted against since elimination qualifying is hardest on them. Given the chance to fix the system again in Bahrain, Formula 1 failed again. The FIA and Bernie Ecclestone don't want to go back to the old system – because the race promoters don't want to go back to the old system – so all we know for sure is that there will be more meetings. We also thought Fernando Alonso would race in Bahrain after being given medical clearance, but a follow-up scan by the FIA showed fractured ribs and a damaged lung, ruling him out. And we thought Ferrari might have the pace to conquer Mercedes-AMG Petronas this year – and they might yet, but not on Saturday. That's why the Bahrain race began with another Mercedes one-two, Lewis Hamilton ahead of Nico Rosberg, Ferrari drivers Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen behind. The Australian outback is plagued with rabbits, which must have something to do with how Daniel Ricciardo keeps pulling them out of his helmet; the Aussie got his Red Bull up to a surprising fifth on the grid. Williams drivers Valtteri Bottas in sixth and Felipe Massa in seventh would need to get him out of the way quickly to show what the car can do after an unsatisfying race in Australia. Nico Hulkenberg lined up in eighth for Sahara Force India. As proof the qualifying format failed again with its sophomore attempt, the last five minutes of Q2 were disappointing. Hulkenberg had the track completely to himself for his quali run, the only two cars on track after him were the Williams duo who weren't setting a time, but getting a set of soft tires ready to start the race on. As for Q1, the only reason for on-track action in the last three minutes was because Hamilton flubbed his first timed run. Romain Grosjean continued Haas F1's fruitful start to the season with ninth place, ahead of Max Verstappen in the Toro Rosso closing out the top ten. At the end of a long red light to start the race, Rosberg claimed his right to victory before Turn 1.
Mercedes-Maybach rolls out new S, GLS and EQS SUV Night Series
Wed, May 24 2023Mercedes-Maybach is embracing a new look for what it hopes will be a new generation of buyers — one keen to embrace its new electrified luxury models. The new Night Series will be offered on all three models in the current Maybach lineup, with the S-Class and EQS SUV variants arriving later this year and the GLS following in early 2024. While the execution off each Night Series is dependent on the model in question, they share a few common elements. Their headlights, for instance, are all embellished with dark chrome Maybach logos on rose gold trim. You'll find that dark chrome just about anywhere you'd normally spot bling, from the grille and exterior trim to the coating on the rear exhaust finishers. And then there are those wheels. I don't know what to say, quite honestly. Just look at them. And while you're at it, peep at the running boards on the EQS SUV. While the cars shown here are quite uniform, differentiation will come in the form of finish choices and further individual customization. All three are offered with the Obsidian Black/Mojave Silver two-tone combination shown here. The EQS SUV will also be available in Obsidian Black and Manufaktur Diamond White finishes, the S-Class can be done up in various grey, black and white hues, and the GLS can be had in white or Obsidian Black. Inside you'll find herringbone-patterned, open-pore wood with aluminum accents along with another smattering of dark chrome. The EQS SUV and GLS can optioned with with Nappa leather in two-tone Crystal White/Black Pearl or just plain Black Pearl. In the S-Class, you can do Nappa leather in either Deep White/Black Pearl or straight Black Pearl. Look for more on the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class and EQS SUV Night Series soon, with more to come on the GLS variant as its arrival draws closer. Related video: 2022 Mercedes-Maybach S 580 walkaround
