Denver, Colorado, United States
2002 Mercedes-Benz CL6002002 Mecedes-Benz CL600 VIN: Miles: 150000 This car is an absolutely superior automobile to drive and look at and sold new at the dealership for $122,000 in 02'. It is the epitome of owning a V12 sports coupe. The 5.8L 12-cylinder engine pushes 360+ horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque and completes the quarter mile in 14.2 seconds at 102 mph. It is built for speed, luxury and absolute trump style and comfort and delivers a very smooth unique riding experience. The naturally aspirated engine is complemented by Mercedes’ active body control (ABC) hydraulic suspension, which keeps things level and comfortable in drive and tighter to the road in sport. The car also drops down into “6-cylinder mode” when full thrust is not required to increase fuel economy. The car is equipped with comfort and sport drive modes, tiptronic shifting, parktronic bumper sensors to warn running into objects, one-touch cruise control, navigation system, Bose premium sound, phone capabilities, beautiful hand-stitched leather dash, Sliver/chrome paint on a Black and finished wood interior, pulse massage and highly movable seats, rear seats and windows, rear privacy screen, custom upgraded 18" chrome wheels and the new CL model grille and more. This car truly is a superior automobile and is selling for a fraction for what it sold for new. Mechanics are all in operation and everything works as it should. I just recently replaced the ignition coil pack and transmission module on the car (the necessary repairs for late life), and had a full service oil change with Pentosin motor oil done by my Mercedes dealer. If anyone knows Mercedes, they will continue to run tremendously well in high milage when maintained. Call or email for more info or pics, you will not find a cheaper CL in this condition and should appreciate. I'm a private owner and must sell the car. Garage kept at my house, call/text/ me at 303-621-5126 Asking $14,900. Located in DENVER CO 80220.National Marketing Classifieds is listing this vehicle for a Private Seller. Why all of this year's F1 noses are so ugly [w/video]
Fri, 31 Jan 2014If you're a serious fan of Formula One, you already know all about The Great Nosecone Conundrum of 2014. Those given to parsing each year's F1 regulations predicted the strong possibility of the so-called "anteater" noses as far back as early December 2013. Highly suggestive visual evidence first came after Caterham's crash test in early January, with further proof coming as soon as Williams showed a rendering of the FW36 challenger for this year's championship. That car earned a name that wasn't nearly so kind as "anteater."
Casual followers of the sport - or anyone who gets the feed from this site - probably don't know what's happening, except to wonder why the current year's F1 cars are led by appendages that would make Cyrano de Bergerac feel a whole lot better about himself.
The short answer to the question of ugsome F1 noses is "FIA regulations and safety." The reason there are various kinds of ugsome noses is simpler: engineers. The same boffins who have given us advances including carbon fiber monocoques, six-wheeled cars, double diffusers and Drag Reduction Systems are bred to do everything in their power to exploit every possible freedom in the regulations to make the cars they're building go faster - the caveat being that those advances have to work within the overall philosophy of the whole car.

Geely wants to be a tech-sharing 'friend' of Daimler in $9B bet
Sat, Feb 24 2018Chinese carmaker Geely has built up an almost 10-percent stake in Daimler in a $9 billion bet by its chairman that he can access the Mercedes-Benz owner's technology in the growing battle for the future of automotives. The purchase by Li Shufu, Geely's founder and main owner, means China's largest privately-owned automaker is now the biggest shareholder in Germany's Daimler. Geely said on Saturday there were no plans "for the time being" to raise the stake further. Instead, it will seek to forge an alliance with Daimler, which is developing electric and self-driving vehicles, to respond to the challenge from new competitors such as Tesla, Google and Uber. "No current car industry player is likely to win this battle against the invaders from outside without friends. To achieve and assert technological leadership, one has to adapt a new way of thinking in terms of sharing and combining strength. My investment in Daimler reflects this vision," Li said. "Daimler is pleased to announce that with Li Shufu it could win another long-term orientated shareholder, which is convinced by Daimler's innovation strength, strategy and future potential," the German company said in a statement. Geely officials plan to travel to Stuttgart to meet Daimler executives early next week and also hope to meet top German government officials in Berlin, two sources familiar with the matter told Reuters. The Chinese firm plans to use the meetings to underline that it intends to be a supportive long-term investor, they said. Daimler had no immediate comment on any meetings. Geely and the German economy ministry declined to comment. Chinese investors in German technology companies have tended to take a consensual approach, buying incremental stakes in companies such as robotics firms Kuka and Kion, typically after long consultation with management and other stakeholders. In November, Geely asked Daimler to issue new shares so it could buy a stake, as a way to access Mercedes-Benz technology for electric cars and trucks, including battery technology, to help Geely comply with a Chinese crackdown on pollution. But the German company turned down the offer saying it did not want to dilute existing shareholders, sources at the time told Reuters. Li changed tactics, and quietly amassed a stake of 9.69 percent worth $9 billion at Daimler's current share price.
