The paint is clean and free of any scratches with exception of some very minor rock chips on front bumper, the hood is also free of any chips what so ever. The car has a total of two door dings that are no way noticeable to the naked eye, they are the kind that you have to crouch down and wade you head back and forth. The headlamp lenses are clear and free of any fading what so ever as the car has spent a good part of it's life in a garage. The Interior is also very clean with newer mats. The leather and headliner are both free of any tears or stains. The wheels were refinished about 15k miles ago (two of the wheels had prior repairs that I was not happy with so I had all the wheels refinished to ensure proper matching) The Michelin Pilot Sports PS2's where mounted at 51.1k and are free of any patches or repairs. They are excellent tires and would never mount anything else. Owners manuals, first aid kit, window sticker and extra key are also included in purchase. Packages- 319 Lighting Package 326 Premium Package The Factory Navigation was added later by an approved installer (Command Disc is included) RennTech Air Box with factory MB paper Filters (Factory Air box will be included in the sale) Mechanical- I have all Mechanical and service records for the vehicle including the Vehicle Master Inquire from the dealer for the first 28k miles. Most recent service includes, Serpentine belt, idler pulley and harmonic balancer, Valve cover gaskets and transmission service. Front rotors and all pads where replaced at 48k miles. History- I purchased the car from an individual in Tennessee that purchased the car with 28k miles from a Mercedes Dealer in Dallas TX and I purchased the Car from him with 34k miles, he in which moved into a 12 CTS-V. He was a car enthusiast that took a great deal of care for the car. The other stuff- The car has a small evap leak and when the tank is fully topped off with fuel the check engine light may come on. After conducting a smoke test the technician found a minor leak from a overflow evap hose.

Why all of this year's F1 noses are so ugly [w/video]

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

If you're a serious fan of Formula One, you already know all about The Great Nosecone Conundrum of 2014. Those given to parsing each year's F1 regulations predicted the strong possibility of the so-called "anteater" noses as far back as early December 2013. Highly suggestive visual evidence first came after Caterham's crash test in early January, with further proof coming as soon as Williams showed a rendering of the FW36 challenger for this year's championship. That car earned a name that wasn't nearly so kind as "anteater."
Casual followers of the sport - or anyone who gets the feed from this site - probably don't know what's happening, except to wonder why the current year's F1 cars are led by appendages that would make Cyrano de Bergerac feel a whole lot better about himself.
The short answer to the question of ugsome F1 noses is "FIA regulations and safety." The reason there are various kinds of ugsome noses is simpler: engineers. The same boffins who have given us advances including carbon fiber monocoques, six-wheeled cars, double diffusers and Drag Reduction Systems are bred to do everything in their power to exploit every possible freedom in the regulations to make the cars they're building go faster - the caveat being that those advances have to work within the overall philosophy of the whole car.

2015 Mercedes C-Class order guide leaked

Wed, 23 Apr 2014

We may not have an official starting price for the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, but as of right now, we can tell you about all the options for the eagerly anticipated new luxury sedan.
Benz Report has the entire order guide for the C-Class, with breakdowns from package pricing to how many different colors, wheel designs and lighting configurations will be available when the new model hits dealers later this year. As we mentioned in our initial review of the C-Class, there will be a pair of engine options, with the now familiar 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder available in both rear- and all-wheel-drive configurations and a 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V6, which can be had in all-wheel drive, only.
From there, though, the available options are impressive. Much like it does on the current car, Mercedes is offering a pair of packages that sort of define the entire car. With the C300, buyers will have the choice of either a Sport or Luxury package in addition to the base trim, while C400 buyers are limited to the Sport model.

Mercedes says it's tops in luxury sales for 2012, not BMW

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

It turns out that Mercedes-Benz North America has legitimate claim to being the top selling luxury nameplate in the US in 2012.
While sources such as Autodata had put BMW in the top spot, registration data from R.L. Polk shows that Mercedes customers registering new vehicles topped the Bavarian automaker in the most recent calendar year. Polk says Benz posted 274,123 registrations, compared with BMW's 268,498.
In terms of sales posted, BMW had bested Benz 281,460 to 274,134. But sales are recorded somewhat inconsistently from automaker to automaker. Some book the sales as soon as they are shipped from factory to dealer. There is perennial gamesmanship between the two German rivals, and the sales numbers suggest that BMW pushed out some extra sheetmetal to dealers in the last four weeks of the year.
