2004 Mercedes-benz C230 Kompressor Sedan 4-door 1.8l on 2040-cars
United States
Up for sale is our beloved Mercedes. This car belonged to my brother and his wife before we bought it for my wife to use in September 2009. The car has three actual owners. When we moved our business from NY to Houston we transferred the car under our business, still my wife was the sole driver. The car has an interior 10/10 and exterior 9/10, mostly from scrapes in the rear bumper from downtown parking. The car has every option available in its class in 2004 besides the navigation. The engine is super strong and very fuel efficient. We have used Mobil 1 fully synthetic with K&N filters.
The transmission has failed!!! About ten days ago the transmission failed while in traffic. I took it to the dealer and was told that the radiator fluid had leaked inside the tranny and now possibly both need to be replaced. Dealer said it wont attempt repair, only install new transmission which runs about $5,000. I did some research and used tranny would cost about $800 here on ebay and if one is mechanically inclined can replace it in a matter of hours. We decided to let the car go and buy a new one (CPA insists it helps the business expenses lol) Between September and now car has had oil changed, all filters replaced, new tires, new brake pads, and fully winterized. The interior is immaculate, no rips, no tears no smells, Never been smoked in, never had pets in it. Everything else works just fine but for the tranny and the radiator. Ask any questions, make reasonable offers. Thank you |

E.U. executive conditionally approves Daimler, BMW car-sharing deal
Wed, Nov 7 2018BRUSSELS — The European Union's competition authority said on Wednesday it had approved the plan of German luxury carmakers Daimler and BMW to combine their car-sharing businesses, subject to conditions. Under the deal, which includes car-sharing units Car2Go and DriveNow as well as ride-hailing, parking and charging services, Daimler and BMW will each hold 50 percent stakes in a joint venture. They have offered concessions to address E.U. antitrust concerns over the deal they hope would let them better compete with U.S. rival Uber and China's Didi Chuxing. The European Commission has found the deal would raise competition concerns for free-floating car sharing services in Berlin, Cologne, Duesseldorf, Hamburg, Munich and Vienna. It said Daimler and BMW agreed to a remedy package in the six cities. "The commitments thus fully address the Commission's concerns as they will reduce the barriers to entry for competing free-floating car sharing providers," the Commission said in a statement. "Therefore the Commission concluded that the proposed transaction, as modified by the commitments, would no longer raise competition concerns. The Commission's decision is conditional upon full compliance with the commitments." Reporting by Gabriela Baczynska and Philip Blenkinsop. Related Video:
