THIS IS A 2002 MERCEDES C230 KOMPRESSOR COUPE 1.8 LITER, NO DAMAGE HISTORY AND SHOWING A CLEAN TITLE. THE CAR IS CLEAN, CAR IS LOADED, SUNROOF, MANUAL TRANSMISSION, COLD AC, LEATHER, POWER WINDOWS, POWER DOOR LOCKS, TILT, CRUISE CONTROL, A SHARP FUN CAR, GET GREAT GAS MPG ESTIMATED 30 HIGHWAY, THE PAINT LOOKS VERY NICE TIRES ABOUT 80% TREAD. THE INTERIOR IS LEATHER AND IN VERY NICE SHAPE, THERE ARE NO RIPS OR TEARS AND STILL HAS NEW CAR SMELL, NON SMOKERS CAR, NO SIGN OF SMELL INSIDE THE CAR. Next Mercedes-Benz GLK to get AMG variant? Not likely...
Fri, 15 Mar 2013If you think Mercedes-Benz will slap an AMG badge on anything with wheels, think again. Word has it the German manufacturer will not offer buyers a performance version of the GLK, with Tobias Moers, director of AMG vehicle development, saying that he doesn't see a market for the car. That's not to say the picture won't change in the near future, however. According to CarAdvice.com, AMG is keeping a close eye on the arrival of the Porsche Macan.
"Maybe there will be a change in the market when the Porsche [Macan] comes up," Moers said, "but right now, no."
The real hitch in the giddy-up seems to be cost. Moers says developing the machine into something worthy of an AMG would represent "a huge investment." We can't exactly argue with that. Fortunately, AMG buyers have plenty of Mercedes-Benz models to choose from.
Maybach could become Mercedes-Benz sub-brand
Wed, 22 Jun 2011When you're arriving in a twin-turbocharged, twelve-cylinder Maybach limo, there's no reason you should ever have to be late. Except, maybe, to make a fashionable entrance. But up at the corporate level, the entire Maybach brand is being slowed down as critical decisions about its future are being undertaken.
Last week, we reported that a decision on what path Maybach would take going forward would be due at the start of next month, but the latest reports indicate that the timeframe has been extended as further options are being considered.
The previous options under consideration were twofold: either relaunch the brand with production outsourced to Aston Martin - which suddenly finds itself with excess production capacity - or shut it down completely. And those are still two very real options. Word has it that Aston has put together four concept cars for the Daimler brass to consider, all based on the next-generation S-Class platform (and thankfully not the old one).
