1991 Mercedes-benz 500sl Base Convertible 2-door 5.0l on 2040-cars
Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania, United States
Your bidding on a 1991 Mercedes Benz 500SL, I have currently owned the car for over 1 year. Have used the car as a weekend car. Getting a new car and have no more room for the car. I'm trying to be as thorough as possible. Have had no major problems with the car. Since the car is over 20 years of age, car is showing signs of wear, mostly cosmetic, illustrated in the pictures. The car has a strong motor, like stated earlier the transmission shifts a little rough. When releasing the accelerator pedal the car will shift. There are minor cosmetic defects on the exterior, paint chips and as well as a crack in the right front bumper. Car comes with hard top, the soft top is in ok condition, with some tears in the window portion of the car. The motor to the soft top has stopped working but you can still raise and lower the top manually. The interior has some tear on the drivers side from wear. Car comes with CD player, and AC blows cold. Fun car to hop in and drive for the weekend. Good day and good bidding. Any questions feel free to email me, and I respond accordingly. Please don't bid if you don't have any intent to buy. |

New Mercedes-Maybach concept set to debut at 2018 Beijing Motor Show
Fri, Apr 13 2018Mercedes-Maybach builds some of the most kitted out and opulent production cars in the world. Think of the Maybach S 560 and S 650 as a Mercedes S-Class taken to the next level of luxury. Today, Mercedes-Maybach revealed a new teaser for what looks like a concept for a new EV. The car is set to debut in just a few weeks at the 2018 Beijing Motor Show. This might be the Maybach SUV we reported on a few weeks back. It's difficult to make out too many details, but it definitely looks different than the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 that we've seen floating around for the past couple of years. A close-up shot of the steering wheel shows the soft blue glow that Mercedes has put on the EQ-branded concept cars. Other images show clean white leather, rose gold trim and a pair of seats flanking a flower-encrusted panel. All the shots appear to be of the concept's interior, so we can't say for sure that this is the rumored Maybach SUV. Either way, it's sure to be just as luxurious and formidable as anything the automaker currently has on the road. We're hoping they come up with another G-Class Landaulet. Maybach could become Mercedes-Benz sub-brand
Wed, 22 Jun 2011When you're arriving in a twin-turbocharged, twelve-cylinder Maybach limo, there's no reason you should ever have to be late. Except, maybe, to make a fashionable entrance. But up at the corporate level, the entire Maybach brand is being slowed down as critical decisions about its future are being undertaken.
Last week, we reported that a decision on what path Maybach would take going forward would be due at the start of next month, but the latest reports indicate that the timeframe has been extended as further options are being considered.
The previous options under consideration were twofold: either relaunch the brand with production outsourced to Aston Martin - which suddenly finds itself with excess production capacity - or shut it down completely. And those are still two very real options. Word has it that Aston has put together four concept cars for the Daimler brass to consider, all based on the next-generation S-Class platform (and thankfully not the old one).
