Up for auction is the last of my classic car collection. This is a 1991 Mercedes 560 SEC Coupe.I aquired this classic beauty about two years ago from it's original owner in California.I fell in love with it at first sight due to the color combination,Ice Blue Metallic with Gray Leather interior,( to my knowledge, this is the only one manufactured with these colors for this, the final year of production of the " hand built German Classic)". Only 220 were produced , and this was in the last batch that was built.

As you cas see from the photos,it is about as close to perfect as can be found on the market. This model was said to be the favorite for Princess Diana, and after owning it I can see why this would be true.It drives as new, and is admired by all that see it.

When I purchased the car and had it shipped to me I wanted to make it as close to perfect as possible. The transmission had a slight hesitation when shifted to reverse, (which is probably the only weak point on this year Mercedes), so I had the transmission rebuilt to Mercedes specs. All fluids were changed, maintance was performed, and all brake pads were replaced. A/C was changed to r134A at that time.

Records and original sticker is included,MSRP price was $ 84,580.00.The car now has 186 k miles which isn't many for a 22 year old vehicle.I sold my last one five years ago with 372,000 miles and was still going strong. This car is almost bullet proof if oil is changed when advised. This car has no oil leaks or other problems associated with the cars that spend their entire time sitting in a garage or museum--.Rubber seals don't like setting idle without being run.

As I stated, this is the last of my collection of classic cars and street rods.Due to inoperable back disk problems,I've been selling the cars which took me years to find.I've sold several street rods, a 2005 Chevy SSR, and my Cadillac XLR. This is your chance to get a Great 560 SEC.

If you have any questions, you can call me at (843) 697 8190. I have about $ 22,000.00 invested in this car but I have put a very reasonable reserve on this auction.

Please,no tire kickers, if you're not really interested, don't waste my time and yours. You must have a paypal account to bid, and I reserve the right to cancel any low or bad feedback bidders. You are welcome to have someone inspect the car, but please do this before you bid. I will meet with your shipper, but all shipping must be arranged by the buyer. A $500.00 deposit must be recieved withen 72 hours of completion of auction, and delivery should be taken within 2 weeks of auction end. This is an auction for United States only. Happy Bidding, this is a no disappointment car !!!!

Mercedes teases massive new Maybach coupe

Wed, Aug 10 2016

Mercedes-Benz hasn't done a lot with its Maybach brand over the last few years. After killing the slow-selling standalone Maybach line, the badge sat unused, until MB slapped it on a luxed-out S600. But today, Mercedes posted a teaser of a new, two-door Maybach on its social media channels. Immediately given away by the Maybach badge on the C-pillar (and possibly one on the nose), we could be looking at a modern-day Exelero – a successor to Maybach's last coupe, a one-off, 700-horsepower rocket ship that deserved all the Darth Vader's car cliches – capable of extremely high speeds and stunning comfort. Everything from the long hood (better to accommodate some monstrous V12 engine) to the windshield's aggressive rake, to the absurdly long tail, signals a 200-mile-per-hour-plus top speed for this concept. And yes, we're thinking this is a concept. Kick the exposure way up with Photoshop and you can see that the side mirrors are too slim to actually function as normal mirrors – they're almost certainly cameras. Other details? Whatever Mercedes calls its new Maybach, it's going to be huge. According to the caption accompanying the teaser, this car is six meters (19.6 feet) long – that's over three feet longer than an S-Class Coupe and nearly four feet longer than a Bentley Continental GT. Like we said, it's enormous. And that's about all we know. Mercedes dropped this teaser out of the blue, nearly two months before the auto show season kicks off in Paris. It's possible the company could continue to tease out a new Maybach concept until early October, but more likely, we'll see an online debut ahead of the Paris show. Stay tuned. Daimler CEO says nobody is making money on EVs right now

Wed, Nov 5 2014

What do you charge for a vehicle you're going to lose money on? If you're Mercedes-Benz and the vehicle in question is the B-Class Electric Drive, you offer it for lease for just 399 euros ($498) a month with a down payment of 8,473 euros ($10,582). If Daimler was going to price it honestly, it seems, the number would have to be a lot higher. "Nobody today is making a battery-powered vehicle that's economically viable." – Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche That's according to Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche, who spoke to reporters in Spain recently and said that, "You can reasonably say that nobody today is making a battery-powered vehicle that's economically viable in its own right. Manufacturers will not see a return within a reasonable time on the billions they're investing now." There are ways to make money in EVs, of course. Just ask Daimler, which recently sold its stake in Tesla for a cool $780 million. Zetsche has some EV-critical company in executives like Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne, who has said his company loses over $10,000 on each Fiat 500E it sells. Other automakers – e.g., Tesla, Nissan – are much more positive about their financial bet on EVs, but no one is opening all their books to the public to prove this. Tesla, which worked with Mercedes on the B-Class ED, will have an earnings call with investors later today, so perhaps we'll learn something new in a few hours. The B-Class ED lease deal is for 36 months, based on an MSRP of 39,151 euros ($48,895) in Europe, including the 19 percent VAT. You can read more in the press release below. Commercial release of Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive: Local emission-free driving from ˆ399/month Stuttgart, Nov 03, 2014 With its high-torque electric motor, the B-Class Electric Drive delivers lively and superior driving pleasure – with zero local emissions. The B-Class Electric Drive is now available to order, with deliveries set to start before the end of 2014. Prices start at ˆ39,151[1]. The B-Class Electric Drive can be leased through the Mercedes-Benz Bank from ˆ399 a month[2]. Further information on the full range of tailor-made leasing and financing offers as well as specific pricing examples are available at http://www.mercedes-benz-bank.de. Quiet and local emission-free driving is ensured by a 132 kW electric motor, which, as is typical of an electric drive, delivers its maximum torque of 340 Nm right from the start. The result is noticeably powerful acceleration from rest.

Watch Schumacher's hot lap of N"urburgring in Mercedes F1 car

Fri, 31 May 2013

In advance of the Nürburgring 24-hour race last weekend, Mercedes-Benz put on a demonstration that had Michael Schumacher playing catch-up in a Formula One car against four examples of AMG metal. There were four cars sent off in staggered starts before Schumacher: an A45 AMG, E63 AMG 4Matic, SLS AMG Black Series, and an SLS AMG GT3 car. "Mr. Formula One," as the German television commentators call him, left three minutes after the SLS AMG GT3.
There are two videos of Schumacher's lap, the first is on-board footage - and even though there were several GoPros on the car the POV never cuts away from the front wing. You can hear the throttle and tell he's not pushing it, you can also tell how bumpy the track is. The second video is footage from the German Sport1 channel - with commentary in German - that shows all the cars taking off and takes the aerial view of proceedings. He looks to be going a lot faster in that one. You can compare and contrast yourself with the videos below.
Oh, and it's worth noting that, even with the likely restricted car, and the made-for-TV environment, Schumi turned in a quick lap. The nose camera shows the F1 car start to slow down on the back straight, near the start/finish line, right around the modern-length track record time of six minutes and eleven seconds.
