Super nice 1989 Mercedes 560 convertible with Hard Top. Automatic Transmission (rebuilt). Paint is nice and no rust. Interior is really nice, the two front seats have been redone in leather as you can see in the pictures at a cost of $800. The top of the dash does have some cracks, a nice dash cover has been installed and looks good. The car has (like new) Michelin tires. This Mercedes has low miles 98492. this car has a history, It was purchased by Eddie Murphy Productions In Los Angles CA, I assume for Eddie Murphy. Also included is a complete set of factory dealer service manual along with all owners manuals. No sign of a prior damage. Petrolicious shows Mercedes 280SL as architecture in motion
Wed, Jun 17 2015While still an absolute beauty today, the design of the pagoda-roof W113 Mercedes-Benz SL was revolutionary when it debuted. Moving away from the soft curves of the previous SL models, the all-new generation brought an upright, angular shape that was as much architectural as automotive. In the latest video from Petrolicious, owner and architect Daniel Monti expounds on the inspiration that he gets from his 1969 280SL's fantastic styling. The roof is the most famous design feature of this generation of SL. Look at the top from the front or back, and you can see a gentle, downward arc that evokes the look of a pagoda. That one styling element is also a fabulous counterpoint to a vehicle that is largely more angular than curvaceous. Petrolicious wonderfully illustrates how some of the SL's form-follows-function design aesthetic can be found in the architect's work in this video's heaping helping of mid-century modern goodness.
Mercedes-Benz CLA stars in sweeping short with supermodel Karlie Kloss
Wed, 16 Jan 2013The Mercedes-Benz CLA earned itself a spot on our list of the top five unveils of the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, and for good reason. The German luxury compact is the first small car from the Silver Arrow that looks suitably premium inside and out. Nowness.com has turned out a new video of the CLA featuring super model Karlie Koss in the lead role. We aren't entirely sure what the premise is, but from what we can tell, it looks as if the CLA comes to life and proceeds to be a giant jerk.
After Koss stops to take a closer look at a white horse, the CLA gives the supermodel the old stop-and-go treatment before leaving her on the side of the road. Eventually, the sedan makes nice, but Koss has to ride shotgun instead of taking the controls herself. You can check out the video below to see for yourself.
