I have for sale a beautiful classic 1979 Mercedes-Benz 450SL Convertible. It is Cream with brown interior. Car has both tops, the soft top is brown and is brand new. Interior and dash and carpet are like new. All gauges and the clock work. It has 128,000 miles on it and has always been garaged kept all of its life. The body and paint are in excellent shape with just a few minor chips, blisters, and dings. It has the original Mercedes alloy wheels with a spare to match. The V-8 engine and automatic transmission, etc are all in excellent condition. Heater and defrost work great. It does have A/C but needs recharged/repaired. Has nice working aftermarket Sony AM/FM Casette radio. I have all of the original owners manuals, part manuals, maintenance book, warranty book and documents that came with it new. I have owned this car for 10 years and drove it occasionally mostly on weekends. Car has good title and current tag and insurance. This car was bought new in 1979 from Bolens Imports in Oklahoma City, OK. And has lived in Oklahoma its whole life. Buyer must contact me within 48 hours after sale. Mercedes-Benz releases US-spec 2014 Sprinter details
Mon, 06 May 2013Last week, Mercedes-Benz released the details for the updated 2013 Sprinter intended for global markets, but this week it has announced what changes are being made to the US-spec version of the van for the 2014 model year, including the Freightliner model. As expected, most of the changes made to the European model will be present on the 2014 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter when it goes on sale in the US, which is expected to be this fall.
The biggest difference between the Sprinter announced last week and the one headed to our shores is what is found under the hood. While European Sprinters will come with diesel engines and offer the availability of a supercharged four-cylinder gasoline or CNG engine, US Sprinters will still offer the 3.0-liter V6 BlueTEC diesel. This year's Sprinter now comes standard with a new base engine, the 2.1-liter four-cylinder BlueTEC diesel. This smaller engine will produce 161 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque, and will be paired to a seven-speed automatic transmission; the optional 3.0 V6 puts out 188 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque, and will be mated to a six-speed auto.
Fuel economy for the new Sprinter has not been announced, but Mercedes-Benz has made numerous changes with the goal of improving efficiency. To this end you'll find a new, low-friction rear axle and the optimization for the generator, fuel pump and power steering pump.

Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG officially teased in mini video
Mon, 15 Jul 2013The followup to the Mercedes-Benz S550, the S63 AMG, will sport a biturbocharged V8 that will likely turn out around 550 horsepower. The new engine is probably the 5.5-liter, biturbocharged V-8 that's been popping up in everything from the ML63 to the E63 AMG. The front fascia is more aggressive, which shouldn't come as a surprise, while a meaty exhaust setup can be found out back.
We managed to pick all that up from a short, 17-second video posted by MB. The original video that unveiled the S63 AMG has since been pulled down, making this YouTube clip the best look we now have at the new super sedan, at least until the Germans give up the goods for real.
