Up for sale is a 1977 Mercedes 450SEL, V-8, Power everything, Leather/front need to be replaced/back is ok, with only 150,XXX miles!!, No accidents, some minor rust (It lives at the beach!), which can easily be cleaned up.  Could be a great project car for the Classic Aficionado! Runs/is mechanically great; just tuned up!  Compression is great....this car has been well cared for, and has many years of life left in it!  CA plates, DMV fee of $144 and smog are due to bring registration current (buyer's responsibility).  I have owned the car for many years (about 7)....the previous owner was not the original owner, but had it for most of the car's life.  I have many of the service records, which will be included. We are selling it because we are no longer using it; although I will note that it has been a very dependable car for years!  It would be a great project car, or a low cost, safe ride for the new driver who wants a prestigious look.  This car is not cosmetically perfect, but for the right person it is quite PERFECT!  I am not trying to make a killing on this sale....I just need to sell the car and hopefully it will go to a new home where it will get the attention it needs to be a fabulous looking ride for it's new owner!  Look at the pics (all are current), ask any questions you'd like ...and, Good Luck Bidding!!

Mercedes-Benz previews its curvy sports-car and design future

Suggesting creases are passe for automotive design, Mercedes showed off ideas for its future styling directions this week at a forum in Germany, including previews of upcoming sports cars and sedans. We see images of a curvy sports car study (the silver car) with huge wheel arches flared out almost like pontoons. There's also what appears to be a rear-engine hypercar (white car); we've been reading reports about it for months. Additionally, there's a red sporty saloon, as Mercedes calls it, also among the photos. It features prominent rounded fenders and a bold horizontal grille. Mercedes also previewed its upcoming A-Class, in what it calls the Aesthetics A sculpture, which looks like a car covered in a red sheet. Though Mercedes says this is its next step to a purer design, creases and strong lines are still evident on the sides. Related Video:
