VERY NICE, ORIGINAL 300E, COLLECTION GRADE, BLACK/BLACK
ABOVE RANGE AUTOCHECK, STRAIGHT CAR WITH NO ACCIDENT HISTORY
PLEASE SEE THE FULL AUTOCHECK REPORT

That said, now let's talk more about the car:

This car is a very nice example of a 124 chassis Mercedes 300E with the highly desirable 3.0 liter straight six, virtually indestructible, 103 engine and the 722.3 4 speed automatic transmission. This car is built for superior performance and excellent road handling capabilities. With only 122,000 miles, which averages out to about 5330 miles per year, this car could be described as a low mileage car for its vintage and evidenced by the Autocheck report, it is an un-abused, un-molested and rust free piece of German engineered automobile built by Mercedes Benz, an auto maker whose motto is "The best or nothing" A drive in this car will also have you convinced that it is a Mercedes Benz that after so many years, still delivers performance like no other car could easily match. The beauty of it is, this car is being offered from my personal collection. I bought it as a collection grade car, enjoyed and meticulously maintained it since its acquisition in June of 2012 and have done the needed repairs which included:

New valve cover gasket, New rear shocks and sway or stabilizer bar links, the car has a New Exhaust system and by the time the car departs to its new home , a new transmission mount would be installed.

This car is ready to go:

ALL SYSTEMS IN THIS CAR WORK AS SHOULD, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

DRIVETRAIN - Engine runs well and the 4 Speed Automatic Transmission shifts smoothly in all ranges.
VERY ECONOMICAL - The Horse Power to Weight Ratio makes this one of the most economical in its class
ENGINE COOLING - Car does not overheat, evidence of good water pump and thermostat
CHARGING & ENGINE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT- Car shows no indication of a failing Alternator or Starter
SUSPENSION AND BRAKING - Car drives well with new shocks, it also stops as should. Good Tread Life left on Tires
ELETRICAL EQUIPMENT OF THE CHASSIS - All Power Options work well, including Windows, Lock, Seats, Sunroof, etc.
ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT  - Electronic items like Cruise Control and Climate Control work
LIGHTING - All interior and exterior lighting work.

THINGS THAT NEEDS ATTENTION:
The antenna mast does not retract completely.
There is a small rip on the bottom of driver's seat, nothing major.

As mentioned, this is a low mileage car with only 122,000 miles, needless to say this car will effortlessly deliver many more thousands of miles to the next owner, this is what the 103 engines are known for so nothing less should be expected of this unit.

COME AND TAKE THIS CAR FOR A TEST DRIVE OR SEND YOUR INDEPENDENT INSPECTOR
AND YOU WOULD CONFIRM AND AGREE THAT THIS IS A GREAT CAR.

BUY IT NOW WITH ABSOLUTE CONFIDENCE OR PRESENT YOUR BEST OFFER

Maybach officially discontinues all models for 2013

Tue, 14 Aug 2012

The word "Maybach" has joined the long list of synonyms for the word "kaput." Mercedes-Benz released the price list for the 2013 models of its super-luxury sedans, with the price column simply stating "Discontinued" for each one of them.
The 2012 models, should there be any left for 11th-hour buyers, maintain the increased MSRPs that Daimler slapped on them late last year after it was known the brand would be terminated next year. But you might still be able to wrangle that $100,000 rebate if you ask nicely, or in Russian, or have Rick Ross ask for you.
It shouldn't be too long before we see the ultimate version of the next generation S-Class, the S600 Pullman, that will replace Maybach. Intriguingly, it's said the Pullman will be offered with every S-Class engine, even the four-cylinder diesel.

Daimler employees can set email to auto-delete during vacation

Mon, 18 Aug 2014

The Internet has shrunk the world in terms of the way people communicate by making it possible to send an email from Oslo and have it show up in Cleveland almost immediately. But that instant contact has wrecked the work/life balance for many. They get home from a long day at the office, yet they can never fully put their feet up and relax because another hour or more of checking and replying to emails awaits. However, German automotive giant Daimler is putting an end to that churn, at least while its employees are on vacation.
About 100,000 Daimler employees in Germany are eligible to opt-in to a new program called Mail on Holiday, according to The Atlantic. When the workers go on vacation, they can switch it on, and the service auto-deletes all of their incoming email. "Our employees should relax on holiday and not read work-related emails," said Wilfried Porth, board member for human resources, to The Financial Times as cited by The Atlantic.
Mail on Holiday puts a thumb on the scale of work/life balance in favor of a little more free time. The system means that Daimler employees shouldn't even be tempted to check their email on vacation because there's nothing there - and it also avoids them coming back from a relaxing holiday only to find a mailbox packed full of hundreds of unread messages. These days, people are absolutely obsessed with their work, often to the detriment of their health, not to mention spending time with their families and friends. On one hand, Mail on Holiday sounds like the sort of vacation breakthrough we'd need to truly unplug and unwind, but on the other hand, it makes our skin crawl just thinking about the lack of communication. What's your perspective? Have your say in Comments.
