A lifetime opportunity to purchase one of the lowest mileage Mercedes 300 SE sedans in the world you don't want to miss. This car is truly a needle in the haystack that will only come around once in a lifetime and appreciate in value . I purchased this car from the original owner. She bought 2 brand new Mercedes 300 SE sedans in 1991 . One was to drive, the other was to keep and collect. She only put on service miles to keep the fluids clear and for all of the gaskets and seals to stay soft and not dry up. The car is brand new in every way. It was kept in a garage, as well as covered with a factory cover, which will be included. She gave the car to her daughter in 2010 with 13K miles as a wedding present. They decided it was too nice too ever drive it and just keep it in the garage so they decided to sell it, and now I own it. The car was originally purchased in Bethesda, Maryland and then went to South Carolina. I have all books , 2 keys, and clear South Carolina title showing miles being accurate.

I want to be very detailed about this car since it truly is a one of a kind car. This beautiful Mercedes is smoke silver over parchment leather. It has 16,147 actual miles and is as close to a new car as you can ever find.  The leather still smells brand new. It's soft and supple and shows no wear. It truly is amazing. The wood is flawless, carpets are still brand new, and it has the original mats with another set of mats on top, as well. No one ever sat in the passenger seat, as well as the back seat.  As a result, they are new and perfect in every way . The driver's seat had towels on it so it's as new as the rest of the seats too. This car is truly spectacular. The engine compartment tells it all . You can see the original gold color on all the fittings and lines. The hood pad is still soft and not coming apart. Even the exhaust manifold carries the original silver paint. This is unheard of. The paint is mirror perfect and shines like new. There are no dents or scratches, and all of the chrome and trim is like brand new. The trunk also smells like new. The original spare tire was never used, and the tools are still in the plastic and sealed. I flew into South Carolina, and I drove this car home. I was thinking of transporting it, but I wanted to experience the drive and make sure it was perfect. I picked it up with 15500 miles and it was the best drive I have ever had in my life. I sell a lot of these cars.  I take pride in selling the nicest and cleanest Mercedes cars in the world, but this one is special to me. I have never seen one this new, nor sat in a car that is 22 years old and still smells new. I got 29 MPG on the trip back, and the car drove like a dream. The suspension is tight and like new. The engine is quiet and smooth. As a result, you can't even feel the transmission shift. It carries the original R 12 ac,  which feels ice cold. All the climate controls work perfectly. The heat feels hot, and it switches to the AC perfectly. The power windows , sunroof , cruise control , original Becker radio and antenna are all in perfect working order. The car was taken to Baker motors, a Mercedes Dealer in South Carolina, in 2010 when they received it from their mom. It had a complete inspection, and the only thing they recommended was to replace the tires and battery due to age. Therefore, 4 brand new Michelins were just put on, and a new battery was installed . The dealer serviced the car and found everything to be like new. They offered to buy it on the spot, but they didn't want to sell it. No leaks , No issues with head gasket in case that was a concern. All the seals and gaskets are in excellent condition . All of the service is verifiable from day one of purchase of the car from the original owner . The car has the original first aid kit, and she had the dealer add a special built in trickle charge to maintain battery when not being driven.

In closing, this is probably one of the lowest mileage 300 SE's in the country. It truly feels and looks like a brand new car, and it will last someone a lifetime. Mercedes built an amazing era of cars in the 80's and 90's. This 300 SE was the last of the 126 body styles and considered one of the best. If you went into a dealership today, you would spend over 30K to buy a new C class. Here is your chance to buy a 1991 300 SE with only 16K miles and having an original MSRP of nearly 60K . I am hoping this car goes to a Mercedes enthusiast or collector. It should be appreciated and enjoyed! I have seen cars like this in the past sell in the low 20's with 35 to 40K miles. I feel this car deserves the price I am asking. I am hoping someone will click the buy it now and be in awe as much as I am to be able to list this beautiful car on ebay and make someone very happy to own such an amazing car. Please call me if you have any questions. Please do not bid if you do not have positive feedback, or are a first time buyer. I would appreciate a phone call so that I know who I am dealing with . If you do not have the money, please do not bid on this car as it is not your typical car and truly deserves the best home possible. Good luck to all, and thank you for viewing this beautiful car. Russia gives its Olympic medalists new Mercedes

Thu, 27 Feb 2014

Russian medalists at the recently concluded Sochi Winter Olympics are being rewarded quite handsomely for their service to the Motherland. In addition to the $120,000 being handed out for each gold medal, the $76,000 being awarded for slivers and $52,000 given to bronze winners, now word has come out that each of Russia's medalists will be gifted a new Mercedes-Benz.
As with the prize amounts, the type of Mercedes offered was based on what sort of medal was won. Gold medalists got a new GL-Class, silver medalists were given an ML and bronze medalists were treated to a GLK. As prices for Mercedes are higher in Russia, the cheapest model, the GLK, was the equivalent of $59,500, according to The Moscow Times. The cars were handed out by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, pictured above with figure skating medalist Julia Lipnitskaia.
"I was a bit shocked at the car I was given," Anton Shipulin, a member of the gold-medal biathlon relay team, told RIA-Novosti. "Of course I knew what kind of model it would be, but I didn't totally believe it." For athletes not old enough to drive, like 15-year-old Lipnitskaia, their Mercedes will come complete with a driver.

Drive like a prince: Join us for a walk through Monaco's car collection

Fri, Dec 29 2023

Small, crowded, and a royal pain in the trunk lid to drive into during rush hour, Monaco sounds like an improbable location for a huge car museum. And yet, this tiny city-state has been closely linked to car culture for over a century. It hosts two major racing events every year, many of its residents would qualify for a frequent shopper card if Rolls-Royce issued one, and Prince Rainier III began assembling a collection of cars in the late 1950s. He opened his collection to the public in 1993 and the museum quickly turned into a popular tourist attraction. The collection continued to grow after his death in April 2005; it moved to a new facility located right on Hercules Port in July 2022. Monaco being Monaco, you'd expect to walk into a room full of the latest, shiniest, and most powerful supercars ever to shred a tire. That's not the case: while there is no shortage of high-horsepower machines, the first cars you see after paying ˆ10 (approximately $11) to get in are pre-war models. In that era, the template for the car as we know it in 2023 hadn't been created, so an eclectic assortment of expensive and dauntingly experimental machines roamed whatever roads were available to them. One is the Leyat Helica, which was built in France in 1921 with a 1.2-liter air-cooled flat-twin sourced from the world of aviation. Fittingly, the two-cylinder spun a massive, plane-like propeller. Government vehicles get a special spot in the museum. They range from a Cadillac Series 6700 with an amusing blend of period-correct French-market yellow headlights and massive fins to a 2011 Lexus LS 600h with a custom-made transparent roof panel that was built by Belgian coachbuilder Carat Duchatelet for Prince Albert II's wedding. Here's where it all gets a little weird: you've got a 1952 Austin FX3, a Ghia-bodied 1959 Fiat 500 Jolly, a 1960 BMW Isetta, and a 1971 Lotus Seven. That has to be someone's idea of a perfect four-car garage.  One of the most significant cars in the collection lurks in the far corner of the main hall, which is located a level below the entrance. At first glance, it's a kitted-out Renault 4CV with auxiliary lights, a racing number on the front end, and a period-correct registration number issued in the Bouches-du-Rhone department of France. It doesn't look all that different than the later, unmodified 4CV parked right next to it. Here's what's special about it: this is one of the small handful of Type 1063 models built by Renault for competition.
