Mercedes 190e 2.3-16 Euro 16valve Cosworth 55k Original Miles Amg on 2040-cars
Amherst, New Hampshire, United States
This is the one, what a dream boat! Beautiful and fast Mercedes 190e 2.3-16. 16 valve Mercedes Cosworth from 1986. I am the 3rd owner, have owned it for the past 12 years and it has only 55k original miles. I bought it from the 2nd owner in 2002 and drove it more often when I first bought it but now only drive it once a month on nice days. No winters, only the occasional sunny day. Garage kept. It was a third car so I just enjoyed it here and there. It's fast and runs like a top!
A little history about this car: It's a 1986 and was imported brand new to the US in December of 1985. My paperwork from the DOT says it arrived in the US on 12/28/85. I bought it from the 2nd owner. It was the wife's car, she was a stay at home mom, and didn't use it much. When I bought it, she had a baby's car seat in the back! It is European with the faster engine and it shows. It has more horsepower and it's a blast to drive. I have a ton of paperwork with it. Service records from the past 15 years for tune-ups, etc for around $6,000. A lot of service was done at Mercedes of White Plains in NY. Condition: Great! I'd say it is an 8 out of 10. It's fast and runs like a top. It has a 5 speed transmission, the dogleg transmission. The exterior is probably an 8. It's all original paint, etc., but it has a couple chips and a couple scratches. There is no rust and the car is extremely good but not perfect. There are some buff swirls on the rear spoiler. The very bottom part of the side skirts have a couple spots where the black is worn off. That's about it. The wheels are mint, the spare wheel is mint. They are the original factory wide wheels. The tires only have a couple thousand miles and the spare tire has never been used. The interior is also about an 8. It is excellent but not perfect. The leather seats are extremely good but there are a couple of tiny wear spots, no rips or anything. One of the rear seat belt buckles is broken but works fine. The window molding on the back two doors are coming up a little. The display isn't working on the stop watch in the dash. That's about it. The rest is just about in excellent condition. I believe the A/C needs a freon charge. The radio and rear speakers were updated in the early 2000s but I have the original beckers radio if you want it. I forgot to picture it. All gauges work great. Dash is nice. It has an AMG steering wheel which was on it when it was imported to the US. It has the original manuals and tools. No leaks. I bought the car because it was in excellent shape with very few miles. I did a carfax when I purchased it in 2002 and I still have it. It's clean with no issues. I can provide a copy if you email me. The car is extremely nice. I have the NY state title. I'm not a mechanic so I don't know all the technical stuff but please email me with questions and I'll try to answer them as best as I can. This is a beauty!!! And there is no reserve so the highest bid wins! The car is located in Amherst, NH. Feel free to email if you want to see it/test drive it. Again, please email me with any questions. I'll try to answer them as best I can and can take more pictures upon request. Thank! I've never had it professionally waxed or detailed. I'm sure it would look fantastic if it was. The vin is WDB2010341F175434. I posted pictures of the clean carfax. I also have a copy of the carfax from 2002. |

Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6 is sold out
Thu, Feb 19 2015Sometimes automakers go absolutely bonkers and bequeath a product on the world that makes no logical sense – except to make people grin from ear to ear. The Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6X6 is just such a vehicle with six wheels, three axles, five differentials and a 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 making 536 horsepower and 561 pound-feet of torque. The result is a truck that looks more appropriate to handle the dystopian future rather than any paved road on Earth, especially the $1.35 million armored version. Unfortunately, if you have a hankering to own a brand-new example, it's too late because Mercedes is ending production of the behemoth. Since introducing the 6X6 in 2013, Mercedes actually sold more than it originally anticipated by moving more than 100 of them, according to GT Spirit, but the German automaker has ended production to keep the model special. Still, those production numbers aren't too shabby considering the truck's ultra-niche nature and base price of 379,000 euros ($430,000 at current exchange rates). While wealthy clients who desire luxury with their off-roading can no longer order the 6X6, Mercedes isn't entirely abandoning these customers yet. The company is already previewing the G500 4x42 that takes the six-wheeler's pumped up suspension and wheels but reinterprets the look on the more conventional, two-axle body style. Buyers might have to accept a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8, though. A debut for the new model is expected for the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in early March. Related Video:
Mercedes spotted testing new S-Class cabrio in the snow
Wed, Feb 25 2015A fullsize luxury convertible is a rare species. There's the Bentley Continental GTC, maybe the Aston Martin DB9 or Vanquish Volante and the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible if you won't need those rear seats too often, but that's about it. The segment seems to be expanding, though, with the imminent arrival of the drop-head version of the Rolls-Royce Wraith and the new challenger you see here. Spied undergoing winter testing in Sweden, this prototype for the upcoming Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet is wearing barely any camouflage or body cladding whatsoever. In all likelihood that's largely because it's essentially the S-Class Coupe we already know, but with a folding fabric roof: Mercedes typically keeps the origami tin-tops to two-seaters like the SL and SLK. When the new S-Class cabrio is ready to launch – probably sometime between now and the summer – it'll join an expanding array of convertible Benzes that already includes the aforementioned SL and SLK and the E-Class Cabriolet, and will soon adopt the AMG GT roadster as well. How Atlanta landed Mercedes-Benz
Fri, Jan 16 2015The first phone call came last spring. An international real estate company had a high-profile client that wanted to relocate its North American headquarters. The client, whose identity was confidential, narrowed the list of prospective sites to Texas, North Carolina and Georgia. Would Georgia officials be interested in a discussion? Behind the scenes, they worked for months to lure the company, touting lower housing prices and a relaxed pace of life. They arranged interviews with CEOs of other companies in Atlanta who could speak about the area's business climate and they augmented negotiations with key executives from a utility company and Atlanta-Hartsfield Airport. Ultimately, they were also offered a reported $40 to $50 million in tax incentives. Secrecy was vital. The intermediary and officials with the Georgia Department of Economic Development gave the project a code name that changed three times throughout the summer and fall, so that only a few people had access to the most basic information. It was called Operation Eagle. It was only in September that the Georgia officials learned the identity of the client, Mercedes-Benz, and only last week that Operation Eagle bore fruit when the company publicly announced it would relocate its North American headquarters from Montvale, NJ, to the north side of Atlanta. "They put themselves in a spot on the north side where millennials can live in the city, and people can live in the northern suburbs and raise a family," Tom Croteau, deputy commissioner of global commerce for the GDED, tells Autoblog. "And when you combine that with the business aspect of a lower-cost environment, that's what we were able to provide them, along with a long-term commitment to support them however we can." In the move, the company benefits from a location that's closer to a growing base of suppliers that work with German car companies in the Southeast, as well as closer proximity to ports in Brunswick, GA, that are some of the busiest in the country. Mercedes-Benz will bring 800 to 1,000 jobs to the area. In addition to the employment, Georgia benefits from another notch in its automotive belt. Atlanta is already home to Porsche's North American headquarters. Kia Motors has a major manufacturing facility in West Point, GA, and General Motors opened an information technology center in Atlanta two years ago that employs roughly 1,000 workers.
