This 1992 Mercedes Benz 190E 2.6 has been in my family since new, and has been driven regularly in North Florida. It was given to me by my dad, and I passed it along to my daughter. It has been serviced regularly, the majority by Brumos. Service records are included. Almost all of the power features are working well - known exceptions will be listed. The car has NEVER been smoked in.
The exterior is in solid condition, with typical original paint oxidation and a few scratches and paint chips here and there - please see the photos for details. There is a small crease on the left rear lower quarter panel, but the paint is intact.
Interior parts show some minor flaws, such as the typical "puckering" around the edges, and a few plastic parts with cracks. The original carpet shows very little wear. Air conditioner blows very cold and all vents are working.
The engine is very strong, and the car drives beautifully. It has just had a brake service (<10 miles) with new front rotors and pads. There has been a failure of the emissions air pump, and it has not yet been replaced, but the drive belt has been bypassed so the remainder of the accessories are working normally. The pump (remanufactured) is $373.95 (CVJ).
Here are the known minor issues:
Exterior cover for front towing eye is not present. ($18.00 Part 201-880-0305) http://www.ebay.com/itm/MERCEDES-BENZ-W201-190E-190D-1990-93-FRONT-BUMPER-TOW-HOOK-EYE-COVER-2018800305-/150980628382?hash=item2327258f9e&item=150980628382&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr
Exterior scratches as seen in photos.
Under-hood foam insulation has deteriorated as shown in photos.
Interior shelf brake lamp cover cracked.
Instrument lights inoperative. I have been told that it is probably the dimmer rheostat. http://www.ebay.com/itm/MERCEDES-BENZ-190E-190D-W201-DASH-LIGHT-RHEOSTAT-DIMMER-000-542-39-25-/251226265174?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item3a7e409656
Passenger mirror control is slightly slow.
Rear window defog inoperative.
This nice car is on absolute auction with NO RESERVE and LOW starting bid. GOOD LUCK!

Mercedes-Maybach Pullman is the luxury car for the discerning dictator
Fri, Mar 16 2018For decades, Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-Maybach cars have been the ride of choice for leaders across the globe, presidents, ambassadors, dictators and despots alike. The Pullman model — a long-wheelbase six-seat variant — has been particularly popular with this select clientele. This week, the German automaker announced the latest version of the car, the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman S650. Essentially, this is a stretched version of the V12-powered Maybach with two rear-facing seats just behind the front row. Mercedes is calling this vis-a-vis seating. There's also a partitioning glass between the front seats and the rear cabin. This is of course to help prevent the chauffeur from learning and spilling any state secrets or plans for plans for secret moon bases. New for this model is a front-facing camera for rear-seat passengers. This allows occupants to watch for any oncoming obstacles, barricades or road blocks. Visually, there's no mistaking the Pullman for another Maybach or really anything else on the road. The car is 21.3-feet long, 4.5-feet longer than the standard Maybach or roughly the size of two and a half Smart Fortwo placed bumper-to-bumper. The requisite 20-inch 10-hole wheels are present and the standard pinstripe Maybach grille has been updated with a slightly new design. The car only comes in S650 trim, meaning it's powered by a 630 horsepower 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12. As expected, the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman isn't cheap. Orders have started, but be prepared to shell out at least $615,000 before adding any custom touches. New Mercedes Unimog debuts to the cheers of little boys everywhere [w/video]
Sat, 27 Apr 2013The Mercedes Unimog, the superhero villain of the off-road world that's just waiting to make the jump to Transformer, has been completely upgraded for its new generation. There are ten models, expanding the range and getting new designations across the traditional all-terrain series and the implement-carrier series. Panoramic cabins get more visibility, multifunction steering wheels and better dash clusters, improved HVAC and a three-mode central tire inflation system. Outside, there are new items like LED headlights and daytime running lamps in the bumper, roof-mounted windshield wipers and a front-camera monitor for the implement carrier.
The new engine lineup is compliant with Euro VI, featuring four- and six-cylinder BlueEfficiency engines putting out anywhere from 156 horsepower to 354 hp. Powerplant placement has also been tweaked, the chassis members getting a revised curve to place the engine a bit further back and lower, maintaining off-road clearance and lowering the Unimog's center of gravity. The new location of the engine means the cabin has more room, and the wheelbase is shorter. Combined with a higher turning angle, the Unimog has a smaller turning radius than before.
The implement carrier gets what's called a "synergistic traveling drive," the bonus being that drivers don't need to stop in order to use an attachment - a hydrostatic transmission works with the regular manual transmission at up to 31 kilometers per hour for seamless switching.
