All other issues are purely cosmetic. All maintenance done on schedule and oil topped off every 2 fill ups. Engine ompression was tested when I bought the car 6 months ago, and havn't had an issue since then.- I ran over a curb (going slow) and chipped the front right corner of bumper and pulled off the side skirt on the same side. I still have attachments to just clip on new side flare. Only the plastics broke. Absolutely no frame damage whatsoever.- Cracked passenger dash thats shown in a picture is a common problem with this model. All the cracks are on an individual piece thats easily removed and replaced.- Driver before me was a ciggarette smoker and is responsible for all the small burn holes you see on the roof liner.Thats all the major cometic defects there. For someone willing to put a grand into fixing this up, they'll have a brand new looking car with the mileage to match."

I have a nice 04 mazda that runs awesome. It's still my everyday driver and will be until I sell it. I've owned a rx7 a couple cars before this and know how to take care of rotary engines. I had a compression test when i bought it and have kept up with non sythetic oil changes and top offs, redlining it a couple times a week to burn off carbon buildup in engine, and have made a 6 hour trip to south fl about a month ago with no problems. It does have a spare tire that's mounted in the trunk. All rims are plasti dipped black and can easily be reverted back to stock if desired and still has good tread left on tires. Car has normal wear and tear on interior and exterior for a car this age along with issues that were all listed above. I tried to detail all the issues as much as possible, but if there's any other questions feel free to call or text me. Mazdaspeed2 supermini hot hatch under consideration

Though the Ford Fiesta ST and Fiat 500 Abarth (and arguably the Mini Cooper S) may stand pretty much alone in the North American market, in overseas markets, supermini hot hatches are a big deal. Unfortunately, challengers like the Volkswagen Polo GTI, Seat Ibiza Cupra and Renault Clio RS 200 Turbo never make it to our showrooms, but word has it that there's soon to be a new entry on the market.
That would be the Mazdaspeed2, which would be badged in certain markets as the Mazda2 MPS. Speaking with Australian site CarAdvice.com.au at the launch of the Mazda2 on which it would be based, the Japanese automaker's global sales chief and the hatchback's deputy product manager hinted that such a product is definitely being discussed, even if it hasn't yet been approved.
This wouldn't be the first time such a notion were entertained, as Mazda has shown numerous performance concepts based on the previous Mazda2/Demio over the years, but none have come to fruition.

Mazda and Lexus crowned with KBB 5-Year Cost To Own awards

We report on a lot of awards, some of which are given out based on more solid criteria than others. This one, the Kelley Blue Book 5-Year Cost to Own awards, seems like one that new car shoppers should pay attention to.
The cost of a car goes far beyond what you pay for the actual metal, leather and rubber at the point of purchase. Fuel, insurance, maintenance and repair costs, and the cost of fees from the state and financing will all weigh on your wallet while you own the car. That's not even taking into account the biggest cost: depreciation, or the amount of money you lose based on what your car is worth years from now versus the day you bought it.
KBB tracks these sorts of things, and they've compiled a list of winners for 2013 models. On the brand level, Mazda and Lexus earn the 5-Year Cost to Own award for having the lowest overall projected five-year totals (though, curiously, we note that Mazda and Lexus each had only one segment winner). There are lots of winners for all the various segments, so we'll just pick out a few surprising ones to share and you can view the rest here.
