Custom Mazda Rx8 Super Low Miles Winning Blue Metallic on 2040-cars
Clinton, Missouri, United States
I have for sale my custom Mazda RX8. Only 33k miles. All work on upgrades has been done right. I have a folder with receipts and documentation on Everything including the original window sticker.
Exterior is Winning Blue Metallic with a Mazda Speed front Bumper. 19" 5Zigen Hyper 5ZR wheels wrapped with Nitto NT 555 Extreme Performance tires 245/35ZR-19 and 275/30ZR-19. Espelir Springs for a 30mm drop. Agency Power Complete Exhaust System with Catpipe and Ti tips, Agency Power Underdrive Crank Pulley. REVi ram air duct, Nology Hotwires spark kit, ECU Modification done by Racing Beat. Greddy Aluminum Air Diversion panel, Agency power silicone radiator hoses, Rotora Front Big Brake kit 14 inch 6pot ($2,300). Lots of other extras (system/neon lights/full tint/blue flame motor cover etc...) The only negatives are one small scratch on the driver rear quarter panel maybe 5 inches, paint deep, would be an easy repair, but its not too noticeable. There are a couple very very minor nicks along bottom trim from highway driving. The trim paint on the plastic right next to the driver side exhaust tip has a couple small flakes coming off. These are all the minor flaws this car has. I try to be as honest as possible and I welcome anyone to come look at the car in person. All the way around this car is clean and well keep. Its a 6 speed manual, so she is very quick and handles better than any vehicle I've ever driven. It corners on rails. It has been garage kept, even comes with custom blk/blue cover. The only reason I am selling is because obviously with 33k miles it never gets driven. It needs a driver!! Would make an excellent show car or sharp daily driver. Pictures are tough to give this car justice. You Will Not be disappointed!!!! Please contact me with any questions at (660) 525-2071 Thank you, Ty |

2014 Mazda6 i-Eloop to net 40 mpg hwy, 28 mpg city
Fri, 05 Jul 2013Even before Mazda unveiled the 2014 Mazda6, it had introduced its innovative, non-hybrid i-Eloop (Intelligent Energy Loop) brake regeneration system. This technology converts kinetic energy into usable electricity using the alternator, a DC/DC converter and a capacitor mounted just behind the front fascia. During deceleration, the alternator captures energy that is then stored in the capacitor, which can later be used to directly power electric devices like climate control and audio systems. When i-Eloop power is used, it reduces the load on the engine and helps to conserve fuel.
Now available on the Mazda6, i-Eloop is only available on the $29,695 Grand Touring trim level as a part of the $2,080 GT Technology Package, meaning that buyers desiring i-Eloop will have to spend at least $31,775 (not including destination). The added price of this technology should be worth it for those looking for optimal fuel economy as the i-Eloop, combined with the package's active grille shutters, will bump the sedan's fuel economy numbers up to 28 miles per gallon city and 40 mpg highway - both are improvements of 2 mpg over the standard Mazda6 Grand Touring. The GT Technology Package also includes a Sport mode, lane departure warning, high beam control, radar cruise control and forward obstruction warning - the latter two technologies are currently offered in a $900 package that is being discontinued.
i-Eloop will eventually be offered on other Mazda products including the 2014 Mazda3. Scroll down for the official press release on the Mazda6's fuel-saving i-Eloop technology.
Mazda going back to oval grille with next MX-5 Miata
Tue, 18 Feb 2014The original Mazda MX-5 Miata was distinguished by an oval grille - a design trait that gradually evolved into the smiling cat face on the latest model. But Mazda, according to the latest intel, is planning on returning to that oval grille with the new model in the works.
The revised grille will cap a slightly longer form than models past, while still keeping weight down to a minimum. The stretched wheelbase was reportedly adopted in order to meet the requirements of Alfa Romeo, which is jointly developing the new platform together with Mazda for use on a new roadster of its own.
The new Miata is expected to adopt the 1.5-liter Skyactiv four found in the Mazda3, albeit returned to rev higher and deliver more power and torque, mated to either a six-speed manual or automatic. The Alfa version, meanwhile, is expected to use a 1.4-liter turbo four with a dual-clutch transmission. Sources anticipate the new MX-5 to debut first, possibly at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show a little less than a year from now.
Mazda3 sedan revealed by Top Gear Russia [w/poll]
Wed, 03 Jul 2013Thanks to our comrades at Top Gear Russia, the trickling reveal of the Mazda3 sedan has begun. We saw the hatch in person in New York (and loved it), and we wanted to see if the trunked version could hold onto the same mojo. If you like the Mazda6, then you should like the Mazda3 because it takes just about everything from its toothsome big brother and shrinks it into a compact package.
Top Gear Russia was allowed to share photographs of the Mazda sedan they call "Treshka" (or they leaked them, depending on whom you talk to), but not their drive impressions. The site page says it will come in four trims for the Russian market - Drive, Active, Active+ and Supreme - and offer three engines. Our specifications will certainly differ. Other than that, all we have to go on are the looks, which some may argue are even better than the hatch thanks to a trunk line that provides more balance to that long hood up front.
The Mazda3 will go on sale later this year and US prices should be announced in September. For the time being, content yourself with the gallery of high-res images above.
