WELL IT GOES LIKE THIS ....BACK IN 2006 MY FRIEND BOUGHT THE CAR WITH AROUND 14,000 MILES ON IT FOR A LITTLE OVER 13K AND PUT 9K AS A DOWN PAYMENT WELL AFTER ABOUT 3 PAYMENTS HE WAS OBLIGATED BY MILITARY REASONS TO SHIP OUT AND LEFT THE CAR IN MY GARAGE WHERE HE FIGURED IT COULD STAY WHILE HE WAS AWAY AND I HAD NO PROBLEM WITH IT AS LONG AS HE PAID FOR HIS SIDE OF THE GARAGE...AFTER 2 MONTHS OF BEING AWAY HIS WIFE FILED FOR DIVORCE AND HIS WORLD CAME DOWN AND AS YOU CAN IMAGINE THE CAR WAS FORGOTTEN AND SO WERE THE PAYMENTS HE OWED ON IT..AFTER TRYING A DOZEN TIMES TO GET A HOLD OF HIM I CONTACTED HIS WIFE WHO DID NOT KNOW THE CAR EXISTED AND WAS NOT HAPPY BUT NOT CAPABLE OF PAYING OFF THE BALANCE EITHER SO I WORKED A DEAL OUT TO GIVE HER 4,OOO AND PAY THE BALANCE OFF WITH THE CONDITION THAT HALF THE MONEY BE SENT TO HIM....OK SO I HAD THE CAR AND I DROVE IT ABOUT 1000 TO 1500 MILES A YEAR IN THE SUMMERS FOR ABOUT THE NEXT 6 YEARS UNTIL LAST YEAR WHEN THE OWNER OF THE DEALERSHIP ACROSS THE STREET APPROACHED ME AND TOLD ME ONE OF HIS CUSTOMERS SAW IT AND WAS INTRESTED IN IT AND WOULD I SELL IT ? I SAID YES AND HE GOT A 500 DEPOSIT FOR THE CAR AND PAID ME OFF TO SELL IT TO THE OTHER GUY...WELL THE OTHER GUY NEVER CAME BACK AND HE WAS STUCK WITH IT NOW..HE PUT IT IN THE FRONT ROW FOR $9500 AND IT SAT THERE UNTIL WINTER CAME LAST YEAR. I WENT WITH A CHARGED BATTERY AND TOOK THE PLUGS OUT AND CLEANED THEM AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP..SO HERES WHERE WE ARE NOW..THE CAR STILL LOOKS GOOD AND THE INSIDE IS STILL NICE WITH NO RIPS OR TEARS EVERYTHING WORKS STILL ALTHOUGH IT DOES NEED COSMETICS....THE PLASTIC HANDLE COVERTHAT LIFTS THE SEAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IS BROKEN (ITS JUST THE PLASTIC COVER NOT THE HANDLE) HOWEVER THE PLASTIC ON PASSENGER REAR DOOR IS CRACKED AT THE BOTTOM(I DONT KNOW HOW THAT HAPPENED) THERE IS A DENT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR THAT HE SAID CAME FROM THEM BACKING AN SUV TO CLOSE TO IT IN THE LOT BUT I TOOK THE PANEL OFF AND PUSHED IT OUT SO IT LOOKS BETTER THAN WHEN I GOT IT..IT ALSO HAS A SCUFF NOT SO MUCH A DENT BUT MORE A SCUFF WHERE SOMEONE RUBBED THERE CAR AGAINST THE BACK DRIVER SIDE WHILE IT WAS PARKED BY MY HOUSE..I TRIED TO GET IT IN THE PICTURES BUT ITS NOT VERY OBVIOUS LOOKING..MAYBE A BUFF WILL GET MOST OF IT OUT..OK! NOW!!! FOR THE OBVIOUS..ITS GOING TO NEED OR IF IT WAS ME I WOULD DEFINATELY GET NEW SPARK PLUGS THE ONES IT HAS ARE THE ORIGINALS..ALSO WIRES AS WELL..IN OTHER WORDS IT NEEDS A TUNE UP BECAUSE ITS BEEN NEGLECTED AND I WOULD ALSO GET A NEW STARTER BECAUSE THIS ONE WAS RECALLED (which i found out when i called to verify the mileage was actual and according to mazdas records it is!) im adding this because i was asked and i didnt realize a few things until asked ...there are 2 dots on the front of the car nose that are in the pictures and from looking it appears they are from the screws of someones license plate who backed a little too far back..just paint chips not dents ..also the radio works but the 6 cd player works off and on so i cant say its completely functional...i looked it up and its a common problem with these radios?..one other thing i was asked was does it have navigation..sorry it does not...............................................................................................................ALSO YES THE CAR STARTS RUNS AND CAN BE DRIVEN AWAY VERY EASILY.thanks

The 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata Has Arrived
Thu, Sep 4 2014Ladies and gentlemen, meet the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata. The highly anticipated fourth-generation (ND) model made its official debut in Monterey, CA this evening, and while details are slim (as in, we have practically none), there's one big thing to talk about: less weight. Yes, Mazda has confirmed that the new Miata sheds some 220 pounds over the model it replaces, and is "the most compact of any generation MX-5 so far." For those keeping track, that means the new MX-5 should weigh in somewhere around 2,200 pounds. Mazda's Kodo design language is obvious here, with a seriously wide and low demeanor, and a mix of flowing lines and sharp angles. We don't have any powertrain details to report as of this writing, but Mazda says the full suite of Skyactiv technologies are onboard, and the motto in creating this car was "Innovate in order to preserve." Mazda Unveils All-New Mazda MX-5 HIROSHIMA, Japan-Mazda Motor Corporation today celebrated the unveiling of the fourth generation Mazda MX-5 (known as Roadster in Japan) together with fans at events held simultaneously in Japan, USA and Spain. The all-new MX-5, which adopts both SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY and Mazda's KODO-Soul of Motion design language, will be rolled out to global markets starting in 2015. The MX-5 is an iconic model representing Mazda's vehicle-engineering philosophy-the pursuit of driving pleasure. Next-gen Mazda2 designed for 'predominantly feminine' appeal
Tue, 26 Nov 2013We can't ever think of a time we've heard anyone accuse the current Mazda2 of being too edgy, which makes reports of a softer design for the next-gen model a little surprising. Autocar reports that when the new 2 debuts next fall, it will have a "softer, more feminine appeal" than the current design.
This description lends a little more credibility to the Japanese magazine image we saw of the car back in July. Aside from Mazda's Kodo-inspired signature face, that picture did reveal softer lines, especially along the side of the car. This softened styling is to appeal to the car's target market, which Mazda's European design chief is reported to have called a "predominantly feminine customer base." Last we heard, though, Mazda might keep the next 2 out of the US due to slow sales.
The 2015 Mazda2 will reportedly ride on a shortened version of the platform used for the CX-5, but Autocar mentions that its platform could also be the basis of a new subcompact crossover - possibly to go up against vehicles like the Buick Encore and the upcoming Honda Fit-based crossover called the Vezel.
Mazda CX-5 getting mild refresh
Thu, 14 Aug 2014Mazda has found both critical and commercial success with its CX-5 small crossover, and seems to be endeavoring to keep the momentum up with an upcoming refresh. As you can extrapolate from the obvious lack of the usual camouflage, the company isn't reinventing anything in the very near future of the CX-5, but it does seem as thought some tweaks are in the works.
Lighting elements fore and aft appear to have gone under the knife, with the front grille and rear fascia also seemingly to be slightly revised. The side mirrors now look slicker and slightly more upscale with their integrated turn signals, as well.
In all, expect a look that's a touch fresher, without being a radical departure from the existing visage.
