If you're looking at this listing, you probably already know all about the legendary RX-8's lightweight chassis, nimble and responsive handling, suicide doors with 2+2 seating, and of course the amazing 212hp Renesis rotary motor with an astronomical 9000rpm redline. There are very few sportscars that can legitimately compete with the RX-8's incredible handling dynamics. Only the S2000, Miata (albeit with far less power), and the new FR-S/BRZ.
Original adult female owner no longer has room for 2 cars so the weekend toy has to go. I can't stress enough how much this is basically a new car due to the immaculate condition and insanely low miles. It comes in the rare eye-catching Phantom Blue Mica color that shifts with light/angles. You really have to see it in person to fully appreciate it. Throw in the GT package with every option available and the 6speed manual, and you have yourself a very hard-to-find Mazda RX-8.
Note: You want the 2006+ models as the previous years had overstated hp and reliability issues. That was all fixed by 2006.
Condition:
-18,500 miles
-Clean Title
-Owned by an Adult Female Enthusiast
-Always garaged

-Started up and driven regularly with regular oil changes regardless of miles driven
-1 wheel has very light curb rash on that you can't even see until really up close. Barely visible so not worth worrying about.
-Right rear fender has 2 tiny door dings which could probably be repaired by one of those mobile dentless repair guys. It's so small I couldn't even get a clear pic on camera
-Still has new car smell. No signs of wear on leather, steering wheel, etc... Everything works perfectly
-Spare tire has never been used
Mods:
-Mazdaspeed aluminum fender strakes ($275)
-Window Tint ($300)
-3M Clearbra to protect rear fenders from rockchips ($150)
-Otherwise 100% STOCK

-Keyless Entry + Keyless Start
-Black Leather Interior
-Heated front seats
-Xenon (HID) Headlights

-OEM Aero Kit with Spoiler
-All the other stuff you'd expect like power everything, cruise control, folding rear seat, ABS, LSD, front/side airbags, etc...
-Owner's Manual included
Price has been lowered to $15,988 OBO which is a killer price for this particular car. It's almost impossible to find such a low mileage, well cared for, bone stock, adult owned car in such great condition. Car is paid off, meaning title in hand, ready to be signed over to you. No trades and no lowballs please. We're really hoping to sell this to another enthusiast that will take care of it an enjoy it as much as she did. |

Car and Driver 10Best list cracked by Tesla Model S, BMW 3 Series left off
Fri, Nov 21 2014Car and Driver is keeping new blood pumping into its annual 10Best cars list with three new entries making it on for 2015 and a perennial favorite falling off. Among the biggest shocks this year is that the BMW 3 Series and 4 Series are no longer named, despite years of some portion of that lineup earning a mention. In another surprise, the Tesla Model S (specifically in S 60 trim to fit under the $80,000 cost cap) makes it to the 2015 roster and is the only electrically motivated member of the group. Despite the loss of the 3 Series, BMW isn't entirely shut out this year, because the M235i gets its name on the list. Car and Driver argues that the little coupe feels like a welcome throwback to the E46 chassis M3 of the early 2000s. In addition to the Model S, the final newbie to the annual group is the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. The inclusion of these new members knocks the Audi A6/A7 family and Ford Fiesta ST out from the 2014 rundown. The other seven models carry over from last year, including the Cadillac CTS, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, Honda Accord, Mazda3, Mazda6, Porsche Boxster/Cayman and Volkswagen Golf/GTI. The 2015 10Best cars list certainly seems to have something for everyone from the hot hatch fan to the family man and even the green car driver, thanks to the addition of the Tesla. Head over to Car and Driver to read its detailed explanations for each vehicle's inclusion, but if you've got a difference of opinion or just really like the list, let us know in Comments. 44 Miatas engaged to spell happiness from above
Mon, 16 Jun 2014We've seen all manner of ways to propose marriage, from the usual candlelit dinner to the Jumbotron at the big game. A friend of ours recently proposed with his a barbershop quartet singing backup. But this has to be a new one - and one that automotive enthusiasts would probably find even more touching than a sky-writing biplane.
A member of the Miata.net forum recently asked other MX-5 enthusiasts to help him pop the big question to his bride-to-be. He got 31 Miatas together and needed just four more, but after appealing to his fellow roadster fans, over 40 turned up in the parking lot at the local high school.
The groom-to-be runs an aerial photography business and used an unmanned drone which his girlfriend thought would be shooting some local real estate properties when it flew over the parking lot and captured the image you see above with 44 little roadsters spelling out "Marry Me?" The answer, in case you were wondering, was a resounding "Yes!" How could she not, after all, when those Mazda convertibles are just so darn adorable? Now they'll just need to figure out what they'll be driving to the chapel on the big day.
2014 Mazda6: July/August 2013
Thu, 05 Sep 2013Our newest long-termer - the Soul Red 2014 Mazda6 seen here - arrived in my driveway at the end of June. Without hesitation, I immediately put it to work as a daily driver, carpool bus and family vacation sled, and it accomplished all of those tasks with aplomb. Now, more than 4,000 miles down the road, I am left convinced that Mazda's latest midsize sedan is one of the best in its segment.
During the past 60 days, I have subjected the Mazda6 to scorching travel across Southwestern deserts, wheezing climbs over 8,000-foot-high Sierra Nevada mountain passes and basking in the cool ocean breezes of Malibu. It traveled with four passengers and a full load of luggage from Los Angeles to Lake Tahoe, and it braved the bumper-to-bumper freeway congestion on a weekday trip down to San Diego. It accomplished everything that was asked of while hardly skipping a beat - it has only required a regular sip of unleaded fuel to keep it moving forward.
