Mileage: 148,716 miles I recently had purchased this car off a previous owner. I inspected the vehicle before hand and found several issues and after purchase I replaced and repaired everything that needed to be replaced or repaired. It was a project car and now its up and running to its former glory, minus a few superficial cosmetic details. Things Replaced And Installed: -Newly Rebuilt Engine installed 3000 miles ago. -New Spark Plugs 3000 Miles ago -New Motor mounts 3000 Miles ago -New Stage 1 sport clutch 3000 miles ago -New bluetooth connectivity 5500 Miles ago -New battery 4000 miles ago -New Yokohama wide print tires 35 miles ago Things that make the car appealing: -50/50 slip differential. The ultimate in balance in front and rear end. -Rear wheel drive. You can feel the take off and quick response. Great base for drift Mods. -Rotary engine. The Rx-8 Can perform at high (8500-9000) RPM. -4 door coupe.(somehow they did it.) The two back doors are suicide doors. -Front Fog lights and Xenon Headlights -Its the Touring Package- Bose Audio, Automatic Day/Night Rearview Mirror -Ipod direct connection. Control Ipod from steering wheel controls -18" Aluminum Alloy wheels -CD Player with AM/FM Radio -Slotted Disc brakes - 238 hp There is very minor cosmetic things that still need to be done: -The sunroof doesn't work. -The driver side visor needs to be replaced. It cracked. All the housing(screws and screw holes) is still intact. -The paint has very minor chips from the road. -The driver and passenger side window tint still need to be redone. -The drivers seat needs some minor upholstery. -Both brake Lights are cracked but both still work. Overall the important performance parts of the car have been replaced or fixed. I plan on selling this vehicle mainly because of my insurance payment and I cant seem to stop speeding. I am also trying to get into a more family friendly vehicle since I just started a family. I'm also including an extra stock catalytic converter that is more emissions friendly since the sport one that I currently have equipped would not pass emissions in more stricter states such as CA. |

Will the new Mazda Miata be available with multiple engines?
Mon, 01 Sep 2014At this point, the countdown until the launch of the all-new, fourth-generation 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata can be measured in hours until its September 3 unveiling as easily as it can in days. With the debut of such a highly anticipated model so close, the rumors about the new sports car are starting to boil over.
We recently heard that the new Miata would likely get a 2.0-liter Skyactiv four-cylinder with a six-speed manual, plus a decent drop in weight compared to the current gen. There's even the rumored possibility of a fastback coupe version sometime in the future.
Now, Australia's GoAuto is adding another dollop of speculation into the mix with the claim that there could be "potentially more engine options," according to Mazda Australia managing director Martin Benders to the website. The more potent option would still be the 2.0-liter Skyactiv with a power bump from its current 167 hp to closer to 200 ponies. The other possible powerplant option would be a 1.5-liter, naturally aspirated four-cylinder taken from the upcoming Mazda2 replacement. This version would also ditch some of the MX-5's more premium features to cut the weight and the price slightly.
2018 Mazda CX-5 teased ahead of LA reveal
Thu, Oct 27 2016While it will make its full debut at the LA Auto Show, Mazda released a teaser of the new CX-5 ahead of time. Like so many other teasers, the car is obscured by low light, but we can make out some significant details. For one, it appears that Mazda has toned down the muscular curves of the current CX-5's front fenders. In fact, many of the crisp creases of the current model have been softened on this new version. Below you can see a brighter version of the teaser alongside an image of the current model. The greenhouse also appears lower and longer than the current model, and it's highlighted by a chrome strip running from the A-pillar back to the roof. Where it terminates also seems to suggest this CX-5 could have the "floating" roof look that's so popular now. However, when comparing the teaser image with recent spy photos, it could just as easily have a more traditional rear pillar and roof design. Those same spy photos also reveal that the new CX-5 will get a more aggressive, concave grille with a mesh insert. This image is all Mazda has revealed of the new crossover so far, so we'll have to wait until the reveal on November 16 for all the details. Related Video:
Mazda just restored the 787B's forgotten older brother
Fri, Aug 12 2016Among Mazda's many racecars, none is as famous as the 787B, and for good reason. The 787B remains the only Japanese car and the only rotary-powered car to win overall at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It wasn't Mazda's only successful endurance racer, though. Before the 787B, there was the 767B. Mazda's 767B racecars competed in the IMSA GTP class at endurance races throughout 1989. They featured 630-horsepower four-rotor engines and were very successful in their class. This newly restored car took first and second place class finishes in five of the six races it participated in, and each finish was in the overall top ten. The one exception was a DNF in which the transmission failed. Twenty-five years after the 767B's glory days, Mazda initiated a complete teardown and restoration of the aged car. The work was done by Downing Atlanta and supervised by former Mazda racers Rick Engman and Jim Downing. (Fun fact: Downing was one of the designers of the HANS device.) The shop has also restored other racecars for Mazda, including one of the 787Bs. The car went through a two-year rehab and will make its track re-debut at the Monterey Motorsports Reunion. The event takes place next weekend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca where the track will once again feature the angry shriek of a competition-grade rotary engine.
