Hey ladies and gentleman, todays the day that I finally let this car go. I bought this car in 2006 while on R&R from Iraq and as a single individual. I spent many of my single years (up until recently) dumping all of my money and time into this car. Now marriage and my beautiful children have set me on a different path. Since owning the vehicle I have upgraded everything from the engine to the clutch, rear tires, boost controller (Greddy), BOV (TurboXS RFL), Greddy 3 row intercooler (very rare, not even made anymore. this intercooler is a very sought after piece) upgraded the turbo to the Garret GT 42R, new waste gate diaphragm, new rear end gearing for the CAS rear end (its a track worthy rear end, tough as nails), AEM computer system. I had an AEM water/meth kit installed by Polk Performance in Little Rock AK as well, however, Most of the history of the cars upgrades have been done by KDR (Kim and Dave Rotary) in New Tripoli, PA. If you know Dave then you know his passion for these cars and the quality work he puts into every single on of them. I have a long list of paper work on most of the upgrades done to the car, to incude the title that will accompany the car when delivered to the buyer along with receipts and details on ALOT of the cars history!!! There is simply too much to list right now but I will be open to any emails for further information concerning this beautiful car. Some other things that set this car apart from most other RX7's is the FULL HKS suspension on all four corners, this car HUGS the ground like no other car I've experienced. Is by far the finest handling vehicle I have ever been in. She has upgraded fuel rails, mild street porting, VIS INVADER FD Carbon Fiber Hood. I've had the car dynoed at 483whp @17 psi on pump fuel with 393lbs of tq. Right now the car is on a mild 332whp tune from Rotary Performance in Garland TX. The tunes based more on engine longevity than overall whp. But that can easily be changed to fit your personal preferences because the Greddy Boost controller has the ability to store two different boost/tune settings. This car should have a good tune and oil change before driving her like crazy. This car has been my baby since I bought her. When I bought the car she had 54k miles on her and 12 years later she only has the 72k miles ORIGINAL MILES on her. This car is truly one of a kind. A complete head turner no matter where I would go. I hate to part with this car but my loss is your gain I guess the saying goes. All the money and hard work has been already been done. This is the complete car. Beautiful and rarely kept interior, beautifully polished engine components, (all power hungry and ready for a big tune). Since I've bought this car I've only driven her roughly 18,000 miles. I never actually expected to sell this thing but with the new additions to my life (wife and babies) I just no longer have time to dedicate to this uniquely maintained car. I truly wish all of you good luck in bidding. Any questions feel free to email me. Im active duty military so my phones glued to my hip 24/7, so I will respond to any and all emails in as timely a manner as possible. Thanks and again GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!!!

Meet our new long-term 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata Club!

Tue, Jul 19 2016

We have a new Miata! For a year! And yeah, we're excited about it. This adorable roadster was added to our fleet over a month ago, but we've just now stopped driving it long enough to tell you about it. You can watch our unboxing video for this new long-termer above. (Spoiler alert: The car in the box is a Miata.) Then read a little more about which options and features we chose and why. What we got We chose the mid-line Club model because it's the only way to get the suspension with Bilstein shocks, the limited-slip differential, and a shock-tower brace. Club also includes an appearance package with a front air dam, side sill extensions, a rear bumper skirt, and a ip spoiler for the trunk. We chose Ceramic Metallic paint because it's white and silver and awesome all at once. The only option we chose is the Brembo/BBS Package. In addition to the upgraded brake system and 17-inch wheels alluded to by the title, this package adds Mazda's advanced keyless entry – you can unlock the doors and start the car without taking the key-thing out of your pocket. The MSRP for the car is $32,835. What we skipped The Grand Touring trim (too fancy), the automatic transmission (too few pedals), and extra-cost red paint (not ceramic enough). Grand Touring adds lots of convenience stuff like rain-sensing wipers and auto climate, some active safety systems, and leather. We wanted the upgraded chassis instead, and we' were trying to save some (hypothetical) money. Why we got it Because it's a Miata, and we like fun. The plan is to drive the bleep out of it for a year and report on the experience along the way. We'll take it to a track or two, keep the top down as far into winter as possible, and then slap some snow tires on it to continue . Maybe at a slight angle relative to straight-ahead at times. We'll see. If you have questions about this car, leave them in the comments below and we'll address as many as we can during the coming months. Miata! Related Video:

2016 Mazda2 gets EPA-rated 43 mpg highway

Fri, Apr 10 2015

To paraphrase the famous quote from astronaut Neil Armstrong, that's one small step for man and one giant leap for the Mazda2. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has weighed in on the new Mazda2 version, and says it gets a fuel-economy rating of 33 miles per gallon city and 43 mpg highway with a six-speed automatic transmission. Stick-shift gas-mileage figures are 31 city and 42 highway, which are still substantially better than the 29/35 rating from the most recent iteration of the model. That's about a 15-percent jump in fuel economy, people. More importantly, the Mazda2 beats out competitors such as the Hyundai Accent, Kia Rio Eco and even the Honda Fit in terms of fuel efficiency, which is pretty good company. The Mazda2 boasts a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. But it is the upgrade to six-speed transmissions in both manual and automatic versions that seem to be making the biggest difference in the ratings. Mazda started unveiling details about the next-generation Mazda2 last year, and last fall began production of the model at Mazda's new factory in Salamanca, Mexico. At that time, the Japanese automaker had already sold more than 2.4 million Mazda2 vehicles since the model's introduction in 1996. Related Video:

Import pickup truck-killing Chicken Tax to be repealed?

Tue, Jun 30 2015

After over 50 years, the so-called Chicken Tax may finally be going the way of the dodo. Two pending trade deals with countries in the Pacific Rim and Europe potentially could open the US auto market up to imported trucks, if the measures pass. Although, it still might be a while before you can own that Volkswagen Amarok or Toyota Hilux, if ever. The 25-percent import tariff that the Chicken Tax imposes on foreign trucks essentially makes the things all but impossible to sell one profitably in the US, which lends a distinct advantage to domestic pickups. Both the Trans-Pacific Partnership with 12 counties and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership with the European Union would finally end the charge. According to Automotive News though, don't expect new pickups to flood the market, at least not immediately. These deals might roll back the tariff gradually over time, and in the case of Japan, it could be as long as 25 years before fully free trade. Furthermore, Thailand, a major truck builder in Asia, isn't currently part of the deal, and any new models here would still need to meet safety and emissions rules, as well. Automotive News gauged the very early intentions of several automakers with foreign-built trucks, and they weren't necessarily champing at the bit to start imports. Toyota thinks the Hilux sits between the Tundra and Tacoma, and Mazda doesn't think the BT-50 fits its image here. Also, VW doesn't necessarily want to bring the Amarok over from Hannover. There is previous precedent for companies at least considering bringing in pickup trucks after the Chicken Tax's demise, though. The Pacific free trade deal could be done as soon as this fall, while the EU one is likely further out, according to Automotive News. Given enough time, the more accessible ports could allow some new trucks to enter the market.
