Very well maintained doctor owned 1993 RX7 R1. 37,844 original miles on car, about 3300 on Pettit Racing street ported engine. This car is a blast to drive, turns heads everywhere and is the rare and coveted R1 version. Fast and sleek but very nice to drive daily if needed with cold AC converted to Freeze 12 freon last year and all original interior components without the typical chopped and hacked wiring from aftermarket stereo equipment and electronics. Vintage Red with freshly repainted front clip, 17X9 and 17X8 ATP Riva wheels with Yokohama tires 265/40 rears and 235/40 fronts with about 70% tread left. Modifications include(Mostly Mazda)/M2 performance stock mounted intercooler, racing radiator, ecu, Pettit Racing downpipe, midpipe and Racing Beat dual tip exhaust(sounds fantastic and not loud at all). Pettit racing Track Pro front brake kit with 12.75" X 1.25" rotors, Outlaw 4 piston calipers and Hawk Black brake pads. Suspension consists of Tokico 5 way shocks and Ground Control coilover adjustable sleeves. Mostly Mazda/M2 performance roll bar with X brace in rear. This is a bolt in roll bar and fits very nicely in the car without impeding ingress or egress. Interior still smells new, "suede" R1 seats are in pristine condition, and have kept rubber carpet protectors over stock carpets entire life of the car. Boost, water temp gauges monitor critical engine parameters from the drivers seat. Everything inside and out looks near new when clean and waxed. Oil changed at 1500 mile intervals with Amsoil synthetic motor oil. Feel free to call or text for more information or details or schedule a visit. The car is in Topeka Kansas, and I am selling for the doctor that owns this car, as I have serviced this vehicle since he has owned it. I am an authorized installer for Pettit Racing performance parts and engines in KCMO. (816)516-8610 ask for Art.I am sure there are more details I am forgetting but you will not be disappointed by this car! Finding a 93 R1 with this few of miles and in this kind of shape is rare! Come see a fully built car ready to tackle just about any road you can throw at it with ease for a fraction of what all of these upgrades would cost doing them on your own and paying someone to install!

8 cars we're most looking forward to driving in 2015
Mon, Jan 5 2015Now that 2014 is officially in the books, it's time to look ahead. And following our list of the cars we liked best last year, we're now setting our sights at the hot new metal that's coming our way in 2015. Some of these, we've already seen. And some are still set to debut during the 2015 auto show season. But these are the machines that keep us going – the things on the horizon that we're particularly stoked to drive, and drive hard. Jeep Renegade Not the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Not the Ford Mustang GT350. Not the new John Cooper Works Mini. Nope, I'm looking forward to the adorable, trail-rated Jeep Renegade. And that's because I really, really, really like our long-term Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I do not, however, care too much for the Cherokee's looks, and I really don't like its $38,059 price tag. The Renegade Trailhawk, meanwhile, promises much of the same rough-and-tumble character as its big brother, but at what we expect will be a more reasonable price (I'm personally wagering on the baby Jeep's off-road model starting at no more than $23,000). With a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a nine-speed automatic, it should also be a bit easier to fill than the V6-powered Cherokee. Also, I can't help but love the way the Renegade looks. It's like someone took a Wrangler, squished it by 50 percent and then handed it off to George Clinton for a healthy dose of funk. The interior, with its bright, expressive trims and color schemes should also be a really nice place to spend some time. I'll be attending the Renegade's launch later this month, so I'll have a much shorter wait than my colleagues. Here's hoping the baby Jeep lives up to my expectations. – Brandon Turkus Associate Editor Mazda MX-5 Miata Here's an uncomfortable truth: I'd rather spend a day driving a properly sorted Mazda MX-5 Miata of any generation on a winding road than I would nearly any other vehicle, regardless of power, price or prestige. It's not just that I prize top-down driving and enjoy the Miata's small size because it gives me more road to play with. I just find there's more motoring joy to be had with high-fidelity handling and an uncorrupted car-to-driver communication loop than I do with face-distorting power or grip – let alone valet-stand gravitas. But perhaps most of all, I love Miatas because they can deliver that level of feedback and driver reward at modest speeds that won't put the locals on edge or endanger lives – you can use more of the car more of the time.

A pair of Mitsubishis, the Mazda CX-30 and electric incentives | Autoblog Podcast #673
Fri, Apr 9 2021This week's Autoblog Podcast features Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore and Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski as they debate the merits of the redesigned Subaru BRZ and Toyota 86 coupes and whether or not they are distinctive and powerful enough to attract buyers. The duo spends some time discussing ongoing EV and infrastructure legislation before turning their attention to a trio of crossovers. Greg muses about the 2021 Mazda CX-30 before Jeremy talks about the refreshed 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross and completely redesigned Outlander. We get nostalgic as we remember the dearly departed Pontiac GTO before wrapping the podcast up by making one more suggestion to a longtime listener who is shopping for a vehicle to replace her aging Honda Pilot.
