For sale is my baby the last time it was on the road was 2006. After that it had the engine ripped out the interior gutted and all the factory wiring removed!!! I had the engine rebuilt with vacume cast roller rockers, factory roller lifters with girdles, LT4 hot cam, modified factory computer using tuner catz software, forged eagle cranks and rods new pistons. Totally custom chrome plated and polished 6 point roll cage, 5pt simpson racing camlock harnesses. KYB gas adjustable shocks all 4 corners. Brand new energy suspension bushings all the way around. Custom engine oil cooler with remote filter mount. Chrome plated long tube headers. Gibson complete exhaust. 5 spoke borbet wheels 17 x 8 with tires for breaking it in. 21 circuit painless wiring kit installed to replace all mazda factory wiring. Two wilwood master cylinders. Two interiors one red one black. Dash board with all new autometer gauges that are wired up and just need hooked up and a bezel made. T56 6speed transmission with an after market clutch with less than 10000 miles on it a B&M short throw shifter. Custom drive shaft installed, custom radiator mounts, chrome plated tranny cross member and engine mount. Custom power steering eliminator pully. factory wheels and tires. A clear titel in my hand. This car was the fastest car I have ever driven in when it was running and on the road. Since all the modifications I had hoped to have the time to finish putting it back together but cant seem to find it. I am getting married buying a house and my job is very demanding. I have well over 35000 into this car as it sits currently. With a little electrical know how and some patience you could have an easy 11 second car without even trying... I know it doesnt look like much but there are enough parts and pieces that go with this car that someone with the time an energy could probably ebay for 11,000... Mazda's Hofu plant builds its ten-millionth car
Wed, 28 Aug 2013Ten million is a lot no matter which way you cut it, and no matter what you're talking about: Ten million dollars, ten million miles, ten million people... certainly ten million cars. And that's the milestone that Mazda's Hofu plant in Yamaguchi prefecture of Japan has just achieved.
The Hofu facility has been in operation since 1982, and was supplemented with a second plant on the same site ten years later. Hofu reached a million units built in 1986 and five million in 2002. But with production now at 482,100 units per year, it took less than twelve years to double that previous milestone.
The magic ten-millionth car was a new Mazda6 (known locally as the Atenza), which is built at Hofu Plant No. 2, while Hofu Plant No. 1 gears up for the new Mazda3 (aka Axela). Scroll down below for a related press release.
Toyota, Honda, Nissan and more collaborating to increase fuel efficiency
Sun, 25 May 2014Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Daihatsu have announced an alliance that will see a push to improve fuel economy from both gas-powered and diesel-powered engines by as much as 30 percent before the end of the decade.
The newly assembled Research Association of Automotive Internal Combustion Engines put the roughly $20-million project together, with the Japanese government committing to half the cost while the eight manufacturers will chip in the rest.
According to Automotive News, the automakers will team up and share basic research on internal-combustion engines in a bid to cut costs. Eventually, the results of the research will find its way into a production vehicle, although it's unclear just when we'll see the fruits of this partnership on the road.
2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata to make video-game debut next week in Forza Horizon 2 [w/video]

With the new roadster not set to hit dealerships until later this year (at the earliest), you might be stuck waiting a bit to climb behind the wheel of the highly regarded two-seater. Of course, if you happen to own Forza Horizon 2, your wait will be significantly shorter. And it'll be absolutely free to boot. The new convertible will make its video-game debut as part of a four-vehicle car pack for the open-world racing title. Downloads will start on March 17. Alongside the new MX-5, the Mazda car pack will also add representatives from each of the roadster's first three generations. Repping the NA will be the 1990 MX-5. The second-generation NB will be represented by the turbocharged 2005 Mazdaspeed MX-5, while the NC will arrive in the form of the Super 20 Concept, shown back at the 2010 SEMA Show. On top of the new vehicles, gamers will also have a chance to win a 2016 MX-5 as part of the new Mazda MX-5 Challenge. Running from March 17 to April 30, those interested in a free Mazda will need to lap its virtual counterpart around the Sisteron Perimeter Sprint Circuit, with the two fastest drivers slated to take part in a head-to-head race in June. The winner will walk away with their very own 2016 MX-5. Oh, and as a final juicy tidbit, the press release clearly states that the Miata weighs in at just 2,332 pounds – just a smidge more than the original NA. (That's with the manual transmission, of course – automatic cars are said to weigh 2,381 pounds.)
