Bought this California car out of a garage in Sedona AZ, The owner and his wife were the original owners of the car. Just look at the Vehicle History report on this vehicle it score a 50 it says other similar cars score between 13 - 37.
My original intent for this car was to use it as a bracket car for racing but after showing the car to some mazda enthusiasts was talked into trying to sell the car so it could be preserved. The car is factory original right down to the radio as far as I can tell. The only thing I have done to the exterior is washed it under the hood was that clean when I found it. I also have the rear window metal louver that is installed on the car. I had taken it off when the pictures were taken. Items I have replaced are windshield, rear shocks, plug wires, plugs, driveshaft, door weatherstrip, semi rigid engine mounts, rear hatch struts, tires, converted ac to 134a and changed the oil. I have driven the car a little bit locally and it drives and shifts nice. Does have a slight vibration between 30 - 50 mph had a local mechanic look at it and felt it was a bad exhaust system mount. I have not looked into it any further because if I keep the car I will be changing it to a more open style exhaust. I wanted to leave it as original as possible for selling it. Extra items I have are plugs, stock engine mounts and front shocks. Please contact me with any questions if you are interested in the car. I am trying to sell the car on eBay first before taking it to one of the large auctions. I have contacted them and they feel the car would bring between $7500.00 and $10000.00 in a auction setting. 2015 Mazda3 interior spied for the first time
Wed, 08 May 2013In terms of exterior appearance, not much has changed from the last time we spotted the next-generation Mazda3 out testing. Oh, sure - we can see plenty of details that clearly show the new Kodo design influence (that front end reminds us a whole lot of the sleek new Mazda6), but these latest round of spy shots don't really show us anything we haven't seen before. Oh, wait, yes they do - the interior.
Feast your eyes on the Mazda3's insides, showing a vastly reworked interior that also takes cues from the automaker's most recently refreshed products. We can see that there's a simple, clean center stack with a slim row of heating and cooling functions, and up top there's a large, presumably touchscreen display, with redundant controls found just aft of the shifter.
We expect that the 2015 Mazda3 will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September, packing both petrol and diesel engines. A sedan variant is also in the works, and should debut shortly after the hatchback.
Mazda Hazumi concept gets punchy, comes out of its corner early
Mon, 03 Mar 2014The official images Mazda Hazumi concept, which previews the next-generation Mazda2, have leaked out from Chinese website Auto.sohu.com ahead of its debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
The subcompact, four-door hatchback shows off Mazda's Kodo design language in its smallest size yet. Hazumi means "bound" or "spring up" in Japanese, and it is meant to look like it is packed with energy. It is a very attractive little concept and hopefully points to a more stylish face for the next-generation Mazda2.
Mazda has not unveiled the full details about the concept yet, but in a previous release, it said for the car is using a 1.5-liter Skyactiv-D diesel engine. While Mazda has not officially said that the Hazumi shows the next Mazda2, it did say in its earlier release that it "points the way to the future" for the brand's small cars. Reading between the lines isn't too difficult, then.
Five vehicles named Top Safety Pick+ including new Civic, MKZ
Fri, 08 Mar 2013In an attempt to help push vehicle safety to a higher level, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety created a stricter Top Safety Pick+ rating last year, which incorporates a brutal small overlap test and requires cars to get Good ratings in four out of the five categories (and no less than Acceptable in the fifth). Joining the list of the safest cars of 2013, the 2013 Volvo XC60, Lincoln MKZ, Honda Civic (sedan and coupe) and the 2014 Mazda6 have all received the coveted TSP+ rating.
The Mazda6 and Lincoln MKZ have both been completely redesigned, and both received Acceptable ratings in the small overlap test. The Honda Civic, coming off its emergency refresh for 2013, is the first small car to be subjected to the small overlap test, and IIHS says that one of the car's many upgrades includes a stiffer front structure allowing it to receive Good ratings in all categories. Similarly, the XC60 gets all Good ratings thanks to, according to IIHS, Volvo updating the airbag software allowing the side airbags to inflate during the small overlap test.
The 2014 Subaru Forester has not yet been subjected to the small overlap test, so it must make do with just a Top Safety Pick rating until the IIHS tests small utility vehicles, which is expected to happen later in the spring.
