Hello, My name is Tyler, i am the owner of a one-of-a-kind 1980 Mazda RX-7 10th Anniversary Edition, if you know anything about RX-7s you are more than likely thinking im crazy because there is also a 1988 10th anniversary turbo II. Well, my car is completely different and significantly less acknowledged. in 1979 Mazda was planning on building an american version of the 7 to celebrate it's success in the U.S. so they built this particular car in an extremely limited quantity. There are an estimated number of less than 2,000 in the states today considering they only released that many in 1979, and i assure you, this model is real regardless of how many search results come up in Google. This particular version of the RX-7 comes with some minor option differences for example, the racing stripe seats, it came stock with a removable glass moonroof with a second metal roof to swap out at any time, the car also comes in a one of a kind color that was available on only this model of the car, the name of the particular color is Renaissance Red. This car is in great condition, the body is mostly solid with minor rust on the doors, the rest of the body is in good condition. The car will, like most used RX-7s will need a new muffler due to the heat of the emissions exiting the Rotary engine. The only other mechanical issue the car faces is the need of a carburetor rebuild, which you can fix for less than thirty dollars if you can do it yourself. Other than that, the car is completely sound. The clutch has a lot of life left and the gears mesh perfectly, the rotors have good compression, the brakes stop on a dime, and the differential is in great shape. The only other thing i can think of that this car needs is a dashboard top, the one in the car has minor cracks in a few spots, but other than that the interior is in good shape. The car really does only have 63000 miles and even with the carb issue and in the age that it is in, runs extremely well. This car is extremely rare and needs a good, appreciative owner to bring her home and care for it.

Miata driver pulls off hilariously diabolical move in fender-to-fender racing
Wed, 27 Aug 2014Racing is all about finding the little advantages over competitors that allow you to get ahead. Sometimes those are legitimate means - like being able to take advantage of a better line through a corner - and other times drivers get a little more creative for a leg up over opponents. Sometimes things might even go a little too far. Case in point: just watch the opening of this Mazda MX-5 Cup race from Silverstone in the UK.
According to the YouTube description, we're riding with James Rogers in this video, and he appears to be pretty talented behind the wheel. Rogers has a great start from fifth that has him in third within just a few corners. He starts stalking the top two drivers, who are already having a fantastic race themselves, but then we see that the person in second is clearly willing to do whatever it takes to win. Just watch the video, and you'll see what we mean. Bravo (?) to that racer for some very quick, albeit fiendish, thinking.
Graffiti artist Banksy turns Mazda Protege into warfare commentary
Wed, 16 Oct 2013British street artist Banksy, who currently resides in New York City for its high pedestrian traffic and plentiful hiding spots, recently took his stencils and spray cans to a truck trailer and an old Mazda to make a commentary about war, according to a video report by Newsy.
Part of the canvas, a late-1990s Mazda Protege, is a sub-$3,000 used car at best, but we're sure having Banksy's art sprayed onto it has greatly increased its value, as it did to a piece at a Former Packard plant in Detroit a few years ago. The same goes for the trailer, which looks like it would be right at home attached to a U-Haul rental truck.
The graffito, painted in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, was accompanied by a link to some disturbing audio from a controversial 2007 military video leaked by Wikileaks in 2010. Head on below to watch the video report, and be sure to visit Banksy's website if you want to see the painting with the audio (listener discretion advised).
So, just how different are the Fiat 124 Spider and Mazda MX-5 Miata?
Wed, Nov 18 2015"We leveraged a great platform." That's how Bob Broderdorf, Jr., Fiat's North American director, summarizes the creation of the 124 Spider. We all know Fiat's new roadster shares its underpinnings with the fourth-generation Mazda MX-5 Miata, but there are a lot of key differences to keep them separate in the eyes of consumers. Mazda may have engineered the platform, but Fiat added many of its own touches. Here, we'll take a closer look at the spec sheets of the two cars, and summarize the major differences between the Japanese and Italian roadsters. If you need a refresher, read our full First Drive of the 2016 MX-5 Miata, and glance at all the Fiat 124 Spider details in this post. Design Fiat Chrysler design lead Ralph Gilles is super excited about this car. "I think it's going to change lives," he told the assembled media at an event in Auburn Hills, MI, earlier this month. Yes, it's definitely exciting to add a small roadster to any lineup, especially one that uses such a proven platform. But we're not sure people are going to get all that jazzed about it from a design standpoint. You'll either love it or hate it, and we're kind of leaning toward the latter. Every single body panel is new, and the design is "100 percent Italian." There are a number of creases and angles throughout the exterior, with a squared-off rear end and rectangular taillamps. Fiat trusts you'll be able to spot the similarities between the new 124 Spider and the original, but we're not so sure. We can see a bit of the old car's grille on the new car's face, and the dual hood blisters are a nice throwback touch, but that's about it. Trust us when we say that this car looks way better in photos. In person, it really didn't wow us. Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. One colleague told us his wife, a long-time Miata owner, hates the look of the new one but will absolutely adore the Fiat. Good for her, and good for Fiat. But based on design alone, we'll take the Mazda every single time. What about you? Dimensions When Broderdorf said Fiat leveraged the Miata's platform, that means the Italians took it as-is. The two cars ride on an identical, 90.9-inch wheelbase. The front and rear tracks lengths are the same, at 58.9 and 59.1 inches, respectively. But that's where the similarities end.
