2003 Mazda Protege Mazdaspeed Sedan 4-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
Paragon, Indiana, United States
This is a great deal for this car. If you noticed the mileage, 79,200, it is very low to be 10 years old, averages out to just under 8000 miles per year!! It has been maintained very well. We have receipts, most with documented mileage upon maintenance, repair, or parts replaced on this vehicle. The body has minor body scratches, most likely considered below average for the age of the vehicle. It's been maintained excellent, and the only reason to be parting ways with the vehicle, is our grandson is in a position that he can no longer make payments, therefore we must sell. This car is a classic, it is a very reliable vehicle, starts first try, every time, not to mention, it's a very fast, car!! We hope the right person gets it, and takes care of it also, being a limited number of these cars made, it's value should continue to increase as time goes by, if continued maintenance is kept up. Thank You, Good Luck!!

Mazda 16X rotary engine two years away, will arrive in all-new model
Fri, 16 Aug 2013We last reported on Mazda's next-generation rotary engine project in June of 2012 when the automaker built its last Renesis-powered RX-8, but rumors of this new engine's development had been around way before that final car left the production line in Japan, last year.
We now have enthusiastic confirmation that this next-gen rotary engine is really and truly going forward. It is still referred to as 16X and has several priorities. First is to lower fuel consumption compared to the RX-8's engine, while still making gains in terms of performance. The second is to reduce the burning of oil that was happening at the highest revs. And the third and final priority, and perhaps most key for enthusiasts, is to give the powertrain a big torque upgrade.
What we were told by a Mazda USA insider (while we are all here together at the festivities in Monterey) is that the first application of the new 16X engine will be happening in two years' time in an as yet undisclosed new model. Oh, the mind races to our eternal Mazda wish list...
Teen Miata enthusiast and friend of Autoblog passes away
Tue, 09 Sep 2014
When Thomas' illness made it impossible for him to drive, he relied on friends to do it for him.
Attending the reveal of the 2016 MX-5 Miata and the subsequent 25th anniversary celebration at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca confirmed that the little roadster maintains broad appeal, one not limited to the elderly or a certain gender as detractors might have you believe. In fact, the assembled crowd was surprisingly youthful, particularly amongst the club racer set and tuners. But one young Miata owner and superfan unfortunately wasn't in attendance - Thomas Jost, 19, was busy fighting for his life in a Maryland hospital.
2018 Mazda CX-5 spied testing in Southern California
Tue, Aug 9 2016It appears the replacement for the Mazda CX-5 is on its way. The current model, though a few years old at this point, is still one of our favorite crossovers on the market. Its combination of handsome styling, practicality, and a genuine fun-to-drive nature make it a winner in our hearts. Hopefully this new model doesn't stray too far from that winning recipe. At least on the outside, that seems to be the case. The spy photos reveal Mazda's Kodo design language in full bloom. The general shape is the same as the current model, but the curves are a little tighter and appear similar to the new CX-9 and Chinese-only CX-4. The grille loses the horizontal bars for a deep-set mesh pattern, while the whole fascia appears to be more upright. The headlights and taillights look to be slimmer and slightly re-sculpted versions of the current shape. Other details for the upcoming CX-5 are scarce. The crossover is expected to debut next year as a 2018 model. It's unknown what engines or transmissions will be available, though the current powertrains are likely to carry over. There's also the rumor of a Mazda diesel making its way over, but, as always, it seems like a long shot. Related Video:
