2007 Mazda Mazdaspeed 6 Turbo All Wheel Drive Grand Touring No Reserve!!! on 2040-cars
Shepherdsville, Kentucky, United States
The wife is ready for something new, so this has to go. The car has
92,xxx miles on it and approaching 93,000 which it probably will be in
when a buyer wants it. We bought this a little over 3 years ago and we
were the second owner. The car overall is in VERY good shape. There are a
few things that are noticeable, but can be fixed very easily. First is
the rear bumper guard which is a black plastic piece that clips into the
lower portion of the rear bumper and surrounds the exhaust. The wife
was driving on the interstate and a tractor trailer blew a tire and it
rolled under the car and ripped the black plastic piece off the rear
bumper. It is a
$300 part from Mazda WHICH I WILL BUY FOR THE NEW OWNER ONCE IT'S SOLD.
The other is a little ding in the passenger door, which you don't really
notice unless you look at it in a certain light. I have it in a picture
where my finger is pointed at it.
Now, the good is that I just put a NEW clutch in it, and had the transfer case and transmission fluids changed, and picked it up from Roberts Imports in Louisville, KY. on January 29th 2014, YES like 2 days ago. It was $1,557 for the parts and labor, and I have the receipt and will take a pic and post if you want me to. It IS the Grand touring model which gives you the leather, moon roof, and pretty much EVERY option these could come with. I also have all the factory parts that I switched out. I put on a Cobb intake, and Turbo XS 50/50 blow off valve. It had a Magnaflow exhaust on it when we purchased it with NO catalytic converter. It has TEIN S tech springs which the front are installed and the rears are not (it scraped too much while the wife was hauling the kids around). I have the factory springs as well. It has 18x8 R1 Hype wheels on it, but again I have the factory 18" wheels from mazda as well. I also have the factory all weather floormats (a $240 option). I can put on all the factory parts if buyer wishes at NO COST, and still include the others for the buyer to sell/put on themselves. The door speakers were upgraded with component systems for a cleaner sound from the factory radio. I will also include the factory BOSE door speakers, but they sound FLAT compared to the ones I installed. Also the rotors were upgraded to slotted/drilled rotors at around 60,000 miles when I changed the brakes. All factory parts WILL come with the car, and if you live in a state that requires smog testing you WILL have to purchase/borrow a catalytic convertor as this car does NOT have one and didn't when we bought it. In KY. you do not have to get emissions testing. My asking price is $9,500, which if you know these cars you know you are getting a TON of car for the money. There is a VERY small lein left on the car (less than $3,000) and will be paid as soon as the money is exchanged. Car runs STRONG and I would not have an issue driving it cross country and back a few times without stopping. There are ZERO leaks and overall an EASY 8.5 out of 10. The wife just is ready to move on and wants another Subaru STI (she loves turbo AWD cars LOL) This car was NOT abused and well taken care of. The oil was changed with Royal Purple from the time I owned it (at 21,000 miles). She mainly drove this from home to school/work, which was around 30 miles one way 5-6 days a week and all but 3 miles either way were interstate. I know it's scary to buy a car sight unseen, and I have been in that position so I try my best to be as 100% accurate as possible. When these pics were taken, the weather has been so bad here in KY. that the interior is a little dirtier than I would like to have presented the car, but when the car is sold I will go through and detail the car both exterior and interior. The car IS listed locally for sale and I will end auction if someone local buys it, IF there are ZERO bids. DO NOT HESITATE IF THERE IS A BID I WILL WAIT UNTIL AUCTION ENDS AND SEE IF THE EBAYER PAYS BEFORE LETTING LOCAL PERSON BUY! BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKUP AND DELIVERY OF CAR. I CAN BE AVAILABLE PRETTY MUCH ANY TIME BUT NEED AN ADVANCE WARNING. $500 DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED 48 HOURS AFTER CLOSE OF AUCTION AND FINAL PAYMENT IN CASH OR CERTIFIED CHECK DUE WITHIN 7 DAYS. I WILL CALL AND VERIFY FUNDS FROM YOUR BANK! ZERO FEEDBACK OR LESS THAN 10 NEED TO CONTACT ME FIRST OR BID WILL BE CANCELED DUE TO SCAMS. |

R&T chases down a burglar in the million-mile Miata
Mon, 04 Aug 2014Is the answer always Mazda Miata? We discussed this in passing on the Autoblog Podcast earlier this week, and most assuredly the answer is "no." For example, the little MX-5 would be a terrible people carrier, and it'd be useless off road. You can't really tow anything of substance with it, either. Still, if push came to shove, it's satisfying to know that the diminutive roadster could eke out a career as a chase vehicle for the police.
That fact was proven when Road & Track editor Chris Cantle did something that he himself recognizes as "stupid." Upon returning home, Cantle discovered a "twenty-something" actively burgling his home. The resulting story is easily one of the more entertaining episodes to come out of the 1990 MX-5's service to the team at R&T and, we're guessing, will be one of the highlights of the Million-Mile Miata challenge.
Be sure to head over to Road & Track for a full retelling of the chase from Cantle, as well as a follow-up on the saga.
Evo blasts around in a Spa 24H-winning Mazda RX-7
Mon, Jul 20 2015Think of the Mazda RX-7 today, and your thoughts likely turn to the turbocharged third-generation version of the '90s that's an icon among the tuning and drifting communities. Many years before that swoopy coupe was hanging the tail out, the first model of RX-7 was also quite a track star, though. Evo's Richard Meaden has gotten ahold of a race-prepped version that counts a victory in the 1981 Spa 24 Hours to its name – the first Japanese car to claim that honor – for a fantastic video. With 225 horsepower and weighing around 1,984 pounds, this RX-7 doesn't look like a giant killer on paper. However as Meaden illustrates, the coupe puts those rotary-powered ponies to very good use. Driving it requires constantly keeping things on the boil because the muscle is essentially absent below 7,000 rpm. Once in the sweet spot, things start progressing quickly, though. As a wonderful cap to the wall of noise from the engine, little licks of flame also shoot out of the exhaust on downshifts. Thankfully, Evo's video team captures all of the mechanical noises quite well, and the clip is a treat for those with a good pair of headphones. Despite the race-winning pedigree, Meaden has no problem grabbing the little coupe by the scruff of the neck. He chucks it through the corners to get the tail loose, and the little wisps of smoke from the rear tires prove the original RX-7 knows how to drift too. These early cars definitely worth being remembered in the pantheon of Mazda performance.
Britain's BBR already promising 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata with 200+ horsepower
Thu, Jan 8 2015The 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata is one of Autoblog's most anticipated cars to drive this year, and with good reason. Thanks to svelte, angular styling, the promise of less weight, the possibility of more power and all at a fairly affordable price, it represents pure, automotive enjoyment. Mazda is still not saying exactly how much power the new Miata's 2.0-liter Skyactiv four-cylinder engine will make, but that isn't keeping British tuner BBR from already working out how to squeeze even more ponies from the mill – potentially as much as 200 horsepower with natural aspiration. The company bought a Mazda3 for access to its 2.0-liter Skyactiv and went to work on it. "Our objective with the all-new MX-5 is to achieve the same 200 bhp output that we can easily enjoy with simple bolt-on components on the current 2.0-litre NC model, before building on further power upgrades using forced induction," said Neil McKay of BBR in the company's release. The 3's version of the engine is rated at 155 hp and 150 pound-feet of torque but is expected to be tuned for additional grunt for the droptop. Still, it gives BBR something to experiment with before the real thing is available. The tuner also got the opportunity to take a look at a pre-production 2016 Miata and is already developing "subtle bodywork alterations" for the upcoming convertible. You can get a taste for the company's plans with the rendering above. It sports tinted lights, a front lip spoiler, lower side sills and a tiny rear spoiler. Scroll down to read more about BBR's plans in the official announcement. BBR UNVEILS STUNNING 200 BHP ALL-NEW MAZDA MX-5 CONCEPT Despite deliveries not scheduled to begin until July, legendary Mazda performance tuner BBR is making great progress with both its visual concept and powertrain development for the all-new MX-5. "A program of detailed performance enhancements has already commenced at our Brackley base," says BBR's Neil Mckay, "thanks to our investment in a 2.0-litre Skyactiv powered Mazda 3. Our objective with the all-new MX-5 is to achieve the same 200 bhp output that we can easily enjoy with simple bolt-on components on the current 2.0-litre NC model, before building on further power upgrades using forced induction." Having viewed a pre-production version of the car BBR is also working hard on visual enhancements to add more presence to the svelte lines of the all-new MX-5.
