06 Mazda 6 I, 5 Door, Very Well Maintained, Lots Of Added Features!! on 2040-cars
Suitland, Maryland, United States
Here i have for sale my 2006 Mazda 6 i Hatchback. I bought this car in
2010 with 60,000 miles. Now the car has a respectable 131,000 miles. 98%
highway miles. I used this car for my daily driver to and from work for
about year and my job at the time required alot of highway travail each
day. Since i have purchased this car i have done nothing but upgrades
and replaced anything that has gone bad or was going to go bad on the
car. I've been a car mechanic for five years now and love to buy cars at
a good deal, then fix them up 110%! I normally drive it for a year or
so then resell it and get something new to play with.
I take very good care of my cars. Always use Mobile 1 full synthetic oil and change it every 6,000 miles. Also do a tune-up at least every year. I've kept this car a little longer then i normally keep my cars i fix up because it was such a fun sexy build and very reliable ride! But now their is literally nothing else left for me to fix or add to this ride, so time for something new. The car had a fresh coat of paint applied in 2011 and over all still looks great! However, while I've had this car for sale i've been driving it and someone rear ended me and ran! My insurance wouldn't cover it. However, the car sill drives fine and has no frame damage. I still have the bumper cover. I photo graphed it with it off so you can see it better. All it needs is an right side tail light and some body work. However, i don't have the money or skills to fix it myself, so i am selling it as is. I am a great mechanic but don't do body work sadly. The car is still a great car though and is defiantly worth fixing!!! Over the years i have kept a list of everything major, work wise that I've had done to this car. I will attach it below so you can see exactly what all goodies you will be getting along with this sale. If you have any further questions or would like to make an offer or an appointment to look at the car, please feel free message me through here or text at, 301-861-6921 However, please contact me first before you purchase. eBay Find of the Day: 1990 Mazda Miata with just 27 original miles
Wed, 14 Aug 2013Some cars have low mileage, and others have close to no miles at all. This 1990 Mazda Miata, currently listed on eBay Motors and located in Kingman, Arizona, falls into the latter category with only 27 miles on the odometer, according to the seller. But we have to wonder: how did one of the best-driving, most influential sports cars of the past two decades sit without being driven for 24 years? Consider it the seller's loss on this one.
The seller says he bought the car with 20 miles on it, and explains 6.9 miles were added when the car was towed home on a car dolly. It was never registered. Furthermore, the seller says the car didn't come with a set of keys, so he had to have a set made. Though the paint is clean and shiny, the Miata didn't escape minor cosmetic damage over the years, with scratches on the hood, the trunk and the factory hardtop that is included with the car. The front, right fender has a small dent as well, which can be seen in a picture. The seller says the car was stored in a building with windows, so the paint is faded a bit in some places. It's missing its antenna and the battery, and the only non-original parts on the car are the windshield wipers. The clear-title car comes with all paperwork, according to the seller, but, besides the owners manual, he didn't specify what other documentation would be included.
With bidding currently at $10,300 and the reserve not met, this Miata definitely isn't the deal of the century, and we have to question where the value is in this one. The way we see it, it's hard to justify the money if it can't be driven as-is (come on, no battery?), has questionable history, isn't rare and sat in storage for its whole existence. The "weather cracked" tires are probably just the first rubber parts on the car that need to be replaced before it can be driven, but at least the spark plugs were removed and the cylinders were filled with Marvel Mystery Oil prior to storage, which helps to prevent rust and corrosion from forming in the engine.
Mazda Hazumi concept presages next Mazda2
Fri, 21 Feb 2014Looks like Mazda's big Geneva Motor Show debut is actually something quite small. Teased here, the Hazumi concept "points the way to the future" for the brand's subcompact offering, the Mazda2. Details are slim as of this writing, but from what we can see in the image above, the Hazumi will use the same Kodo design language found on the Mazda3, Mazda6 and CX-5. We're big fans of this styling direction, so we fully expect the concept to be quite an attractive little number.
Hazumi means "bound" or "spring up" in Japanese, with Mazda saying this nomenclature is "particularly well-suited to a small car that appears to be bursting with energy." In other words, say goodbye to the friendly faced Mazda2 we've enjoyed since it launched in the United States in 2010. Instead, prepare for something decidedly more assertive, hopefully improving upon the already-great driving dynamics of the current subcompact. If we're honest, we can't wait.
Mazda will also use the Geneva show to debut its new small-displacement, 1.5-liter Skyactiv-D diesel engine. The automaker hasn't confirmed that this new fuel-efficient powerplant will be part of the Hazumi concept package, but considering the two are debuting alongside each other, it would seem to make sense. As for whether or not this engine could come stateside when the next Mazda2 launches, we're not holding our breath for that, especially considering the company's current woes with US-spec diesel engines.
2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata a knight in white satin
Wed, 19 Nov 2014We're not going to lie to you. The reason you're seeing the fourth-generation Mazda MX-5 Miata on these pages again is solely because this is the first time we're seeing the roadster displayed in a color other than the ruby shade it was first shown in. Okay, okay, so this is the first time the Miata is being displayed at a North American auto show other than SEMA, and we'd say that this is the first time Mazda is showing a US-spec model, but clearly this is a right-hand-drive car. Either way, there's still not much to it yet, especially since Mazda is still withholding power and performance figures.
As expected, the ND Miata, as it is already known among the cognoscenti, will receive a 2.0-liter Skyactiv four-cylinder and the buyer's choice of a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic here in the US. The 1.5-liter model engine that had been linked to the car back in the rumormill stage will not make it to our showrooms.
Preliminary specifications still show the Miata measuring just 154.1 inches in length overall, with an increased track width to 68.1 inches and a low, low overall height of 49.0 inches. Despite the larger-displacement engine and its presumably heavier weight, Mazda is still claiming ideal 50:50 weight distribution and a weight loss of over 220 pounds versus today's NC generation. All of which sounds like the Miata has the right ingredients to make good on its promised Jinba Ittai ("rider and horse as one") driving experience.
