Brief Explanation on salvage and rebuilt titles

Many people are not familiar with the Salvage or Rebuilt title, below is a brief explanation of the "Salvage or Rebuilt Title" terminology: Salvage title means that the insurance company decided not to fix the car and paid off the owner. By declaring a car "Total Loss” Insurance Company is taking themselves out of any liability issues in the future. Does that means the car is totaled, not always. Sometimes the car has minor damage but the parts are very expensive. Sometimes the owner does not want to get the vehicle repaired and depending on the Insurance Company and the year of the car, Insurance will pay off the owner. If the car gets stolen then Insurance has thirty days to recover the vehicle, if the car is not recovered in thirty days, Insurance pays off the owner and once the car is recovered, it is brought to the auction as a Total Loss vehicle even if it did not have any damage on it. We have bought 'Total Loss" cars from Insurance companies with door dings, extremely minor fender bender, theft recovered vehicles with absolutely no damage. FCA has made deciding between the two sports cars a little harder, as it will offer Abarth owners a free day of high-performance driving instruction with their cars. Anyone buying or leasing a new Fiat 124 Spider Abarth or a Fiat 500 Abarth will get a free, one-day class at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving in Phoenix. Bundling driving school with brand-new performance cars isn't unheard of – Dodge and Bondurant recently announced a similar program for the Viper Â– but it is quite rare for vehicles priced below $30,000. The free session will include instructor-led skid, autocross, slalom, and team rally cross activities, in addition to hot laps. While the one-day course is included for free, travel, food, and hotel expenses aren't covered. Fiat-less people can also join in on the fun buy purchasing the Abarth experience separately. Bondurant one-day classes cost at least a grand, which makes the Fiat price of $0 a good deal as long as you can get yourself there relatively cheaply. 100k Mazda6 sedans recalled over tire-monitoring systems

A tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is, as you might have guessed, designed to monitor the air pressure in the tires, and alert the driver if pressure drops. But a problem found in the Mazda6 could keep the system from doing its job. According to the recall notice issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the TPMS in the Mazda6 might not recognize a loss in tire pressure if all the tires slowly deflate at the same time. Under-inflated tires, it goes without saying, could increase the risk of a crash. As a result, Mazda is recalling 99,711 examples of the 2014-2015 Mazda6 to have the system's software updated. RECALL Subject : Tire Pressure Monitoring System/FMVSS 138 Report Receipt Date: OCT 27, 2014 NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V675000 Component(s): TIRES Potential Number of Units Affected: 99,711 Manufacturer: Mazda North American Operations SUMMARY: Mazda North American Operations (Mazda) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Mazda6 vehicles manufactured October 25, 2012, to October 10, 2014. If the pressures of four of the tires on an affected vehicle gradually drop at the same time, the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) may not warn the driver of the drop in pressure. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring System." CONSEQUENCE: A vehicle that is driven with under inflated tires may experience a sudden tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash. REMEDY: Mazda will notify owners, and dealers will update the TPMS software, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on December 10, 2014.
