We're the second owners of this car, and it's in outstanding condition. We received a Carfax showing that the car had never been in an accident when we bought it, and that has not changed. All of the paint is original. First owner did a lot of traveling, and the car just hit 100k miles this past weekend. Increasing, since we use it every day. Tires replaced this summer with nice Continentals, and alignment done at that time. The car is well-optioned and includes the following:

Everything on the car works as it should, and it does not need any service. No "check engine" or other lights, and it drives very well. The car is great fun to drive, but also pleasant for long trips on the interstate. The rear seats fold down, and the car holds a surprising amount of cargo. There are no holes, tears or stains inside, and the car has never been smoked in. Note that on the photo of the driver's seat, there appears to be a stain -- it is just the sunlight.
This has been a very reliable car, and it shows no signs of needing anything soon. The car is garaged, and has never leaked a drop of anything. Mazda5 may not be long for this world
Thu, Feb 5 2015The concept behind building a smaller but still useful minivan like the Mazda5 always seemed like such a good idea. However, since the little people hauler's introduction, there has been the rise of the compact crossover in the US, which fulfills a similar niche for many buyers. The future is not looking good for the utilitarian Mazda. Autocar from the UK reports that company officials confirm the Mazda5 is being discontinued there, with no replacement planned. Autoblog reached out to Mazda North America, but the company would not verify future product changes in this region. Though, the model's cancellation would hardly be a surprise to follow in North America, as well. The minivan market is a tough place these days, and dealers tend to prefer more expensive models for their high margins. Even FCA US is abandoning the inexpensive portion of the segment for the next-gen Chrysler Town & Country. The Mazda5 isn't exactly a sales standout, either. Mazda sold 11,613 of them in all of 2014, which was a 16.4 percent drop from 13,884 in 2013. To compare to larger, more expensive minivans, Honda moved 122,738 units of the Odyssey last year, and Toyota did 124,502 examples of the Sienna. 2016 Mazda6 gets a facelift in LA
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show is a busy one for Mazda, as the Japanese brand shows off not only its all-new CX-3, but a facelifted Mazda6 sedan.
The 2016 sedan has been nipped and tucked to better fit in with newer members of the brand's range, including the aforementioned CX-3, as well as the Mazda3 and MX-5 Miata.
The grille's horizontal slats are now trimmed in chrome, while the brand's chrome wing motif on the fascia is larger and more prominent, particularly where it feeds into the headlights.
Mazda rolls out unlimited mileage warranty in Canada
Fri, 14 Nov 2014Cold weather might be starting to grip parts of Canada, but our neighbors to the north are going to be able to drive their 2015 Mazda cars and utilities from Vancouver to Montreal with a little more peace of mind. That's because Mazda Canada is instituting an unlimited mileage warranty for its new models.
The updated plan starts with all 2015 model year vehicles (even those already sold), and the scheme simply removes that distance limit on everything but the emissions defect coverage. That means that the Mazdas have one year of service adjustments, three years of new vehicle coverage, five years on the powertrain, seven years against corrosion and three years of roadside assistance for as many kilometers as the owner drives.
The change removes at least one, tiny piece of anxiety about buying a new vehicle because it's easy to know when the coverage ends. "By offering our customers an Unlimited Mileage Warranty, we believe it will enhance their ownership experience by alleviating concerns such as kilometre limitations, repair costs and resale value," Kory Koreeda, president of Mazda Canada, in the automaker's announcement.
