2010 Mazda 3 I Sedan 4-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
Camden, Ohio, United States
2010 Mazda 3 i with 62,695 miles. It's an automatic with a 2.0 engine. It has all power features including a power moon roof. The interior is in great shape; no stains or tears. Carpeting is in great shape; no stains or tears. The original Mazda floor mats were out of the car and being washed when I took the pictures but they are included. This vehicle is my daily driver right now, but I am selling it due to the need for a truck. The car was purchased October, 2013 with 52,850 miles. We purchased it from a local car dealer with a rebuilt salvage title. It has American Racing rims. The tires are in good shape and have decent tread wear left. Our son took it to Cleveland several times this past winter and it averaged 33-35 mpg on the highway. The oil has been changed regularly and just changed less than 100 miles ago. It was just washed, waxed, and vacuumed today (as you can see in the pictures). We would like to sell the car quickly as our son needs a truck for his new job. We have the car listed for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early if necessary. There is not a lien on the vehicle and we have the title in-hand. A $500 deposit through Paypal is required within 24 hours after winning bid. The remainder is to be paid in full at the time of pick-up. |

Live pics of 2014 Mazda3 from NYC, sedan on its way
Wed, 26 Jun 2013Here it is, ladies and gentlemen, straight from the memory cards of our own cameras. As you can see, the only version of the 2014 Mazda3 that the automaker is showing off at the moment is the hatchback, but we've gotten confirmation from Mazda that the sedan version will be shown sometime within the next five weeks.
So far, Mazda isn't commenting on whether or not we can expect a higher-performance Mazdaspeed3 version of the car, but we've got our fingers crossed. In any case, we're quite drawn to the appearance of this new hatchback from Mazda, with its flowing lines and character creases setting it apart from the rest of the compact segment in which it competes.
We also appreciate the sound engineering that went into the new 3. Despite boasting a wheelbase that's longer than the car it replaces, we're pleased to see that Mazda has kept its exterior size in check - it's actually shorter overall than the last-gen model - while also reducing weight by about 200 pounds. That's bound to be good for the new 3's dynamic properties.
Mazda3 diesel under consideration for US, hybrid not so much
Thu, 27 Jun 2013It's been a long time coming, but we finally clapped our eyes on the real deal, officially official 2014 Mazda3 in hatchback form yesterday. Yet there's a lot more to learn about this next-generation version of what has always been one of our favorite compacts. We know that the US version will come with one of two Skyactiv engines, but what about alternatives? Will there be any... or will the gasoline-fed four-cylinders be powerful and frugal enough to carry the day?
According to Automotive News, the answer is a definite maybe. Mazda North America CEO Jim O'Sullivan has told the trade publication that his employer will consider adding the company's well-liked 2.2-liter Skyactiv diesel powerplant to the model down the road. However, the company first wants to see how the engine fares with American consumers in its big-brother Mazda6 sedan, a model that goes on sale later this year. As for a potential Mazdaspeed3 successor, mum is still the word.
Anything else? Uncharacteristically, Mazda will build a hybrid model of its new 3. We say "uncharacteristically," because the Japanese independent has long shied away from gas-electric powertrain tech. In fact, it's gone so far as to boldly announce its aversion to the technology, with auto show banners proclaiming "Not Electric. Not Hybrid. Not A Drag To Drive." Despite all that, this new generation of Mazda3 will in fact be the company's first full hybrid production model. According to AN, however, O'Sullivan says that the company has "no plans" to sell it in the US.
Petrolicious lets a 1971 Mazda RX-2 howl
Fri, Jan 15 2016Rotary engines scream to the heavens in the best way possible. To hear a wonderful example of the Wankel's battle cry, turn up your speakers and watch Petrolicious highlight an immaculately clean 1971 Mazda RX-2 in Australia. Owner Jason Humble took three years to build his RX-2 from a bare shell, and he started competing with it in vintage racing in 2005. The little coupe's class pits it on track against Mustangs and Camaros, but Humble claims that he's regularly near the top of the pack thanks to the Mazda's communicative chassis. We don't get to see the RX-2 mixing things up on track in the Petrolicious video, but Humble does treat us to a drive through the Australian countryside. He's happy to let the coupe's rotary rev, and the little engine is capable of making a wonderful noise. It's great to see Petrolicious continue to give the spotlight to these sometimes overlooked classic Japanese sports cars.
