2007 Mazdaspeed 3 GT. Car has been garage kept its entire life and has been adult driven only. I bought this as a second car (early 2008) and have enjoyed it but haven't put more than 5k miles in 2 years on it and that's why the mileage is below average. I just had the car professionally ($300) clayed, waxed and detailed. I just put on new bilstein HD shocks on the rear as well as sway bar bushings, new oil (Mobile 1) and filter, new Denso ITV 22 plugs. The vehicle has many upgrades including Optima Yellow top battery, MTS top mount intercooler with street unit boost tubes, Cp-e Nviscid turbo inlet pipe, Cp-e short ram intake (nano), Cp-e HPFP (high pressure cam driven fuel pump), Cp-e down pipe, Cp-e 316 Stainless Steel exhaust, Cp-e motor mounts (70 Durant), Cp-e transmission mounts, Cobb AP using stage 2+ tune. Car has never been driven hard, more of a weekend sports car to look and sound good. I have enjoyed this car tremendously but I am in the process of moving overseas and that is why I am selling this vehicle. This car has been maintained perfectly and was loved very much and I do not like parting with it. I am hoping to get a reasonable price for my car but understand its a niche market for this type of vehicle. Aussie Mazda MX-5 Miata specs leak suggests power loss
Fri, 12 Sep 2014Mazda's 2016 MX-5 Miata reveal didn't include much in the way of specifications, but the car's debut seems to have blown the lid off of the rumormill, with the latest word out of Australia including fresh claims of curb weight and engine output.
Before delving into the findings from Motoring.com, we're going to take a moment to find a few grains of salt. It's not that we don't trust the Oz publication, it's just that we wouldn't be surprised to learn their car's specifications will vary from that of our eventual North American car.
Of course, we don't expect the footprint of the new ND model to itself to differ much - it will still be the most compact Miata ever - overall length is expected to check in at just over 154 inches - that's about 1.4 inches shorter than the original NA Miata and over 4 inches shorter than today's NC generation, yet it'll ride atop a longer wheelbase and be slightly wider while sitting lower to the ground.
Honda may recall up to 1M vehicles for airbag issue, following Toyota's lead
Mon, 16 Jun 2014It seems Toyota won't be the only one recalling the faulty Takata airbag inflators for long. Honda insiders in Japan claim that the company is getting close to announcing its own worldwide campaign that would begin before the end of June.
Unnamed sources close to Honda in Japan tell Automotive News that the company is pursuing an internal investigation into possibly affected models and is working with Takata to gather more information. They claim that it could involve even more than the 1.14 million cars worldwide that the automaker covered under the first recall for the problem in April 2013, including 561,000 vehicles in the US.
Toyota jumpstarted this process last week when it recalled over 2 million cars worldwide, including 844,277 in the US. Soon after, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began a preliminary evaluation into the issue following six reported incidents, and started assembling data about potentially affected models from Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Chrysler. NHTSA also began investigating Takata itself.
Mazda CX-5 in auto-brake accident on Japanese test drive

During a test of a Mazda CX-5's Smart City Brake Support on a dealership lot in Japan, a prospective customer and a dealership employee were injured when they hit a urethane barrier used for testing the system. According to Bloomberg, which spoke with the Saitama Prefectural Police, the impact with the barrier left the customer with an injured neck while the dealership employee suffered a fractured arm. Considering the injuries, we imagine this wasn't a small barrier.
"For any safety function, it's impossible to be 100-percent free of accidents. These technical functions aren't always the easiest to understand," IHS Automotive auto parts analyst, Hiroshi Ataka told Bloomberg.
