2007 Mazda 3 I Sedan 4-door 2.0l Newer Tires, Pads, Etc. Icy Blue Matalic on 2040-cars
Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, United States
2007 Mazda3 i Sedan, Icy Blue Metalic color with 92,000 miles. New pads, rotors are good, tires 75% tread left, fairly clean inside and out, well maintained. My girlfriend was following behind a tractor trailer and a small peice of pipe flew off and punctured the radiator (see pictures). We pulled over immiedately and shut the engine off. It wont start now and not sure if the engine was affected or not so had it towed back home. Other than that it has no issues and had been a great little reliable car. Just for an idea I priced out a used engine/block w/ 80K miles for $700 and got an estimate to install for around $550. This may vary depending on where you go, but from what I gather it's not an expensive swap. Regardless, we don't have the time to wait and figure it out so my loss, your gain. We are buying a home and need all the cash we can get, so feel free to ask my any questions or come check it out in person. Transmission is flawless and shifts like new, and all regular maintenance was done and we have records. I repeat, DOES NOT RUN. Could be engine, or could be a protection thing I don't know and I am not a mechanic. |

2014 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year finalists announced [w/poll]
Tue, 10 Dec 2013The 2014 North American International Auto Show is right around the corner, which means it's high time we found out which cars and trucks would be finalists for the prestigious North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year awards.
The finalists - three in cars and three in three trucks/utilities - are dominated by American brands, with two-thirds of the finalists hailing from either General Motors or Chrysler (don't worry Ford, there's always next year), while outliers from Mazda and Acura can be found in each contest. Here now is the list of finalists for the big prizes:

Ward's releases 10 Best Interiors list for 2014
Thu, 10 Apr 2014While we're still a ways off from the automotive awards season proper, where things like North American Car and Truck of the Year, Motor Trend's Car of the Year and Car and Driver's Ten Best are named, that doesn't mean there aren't trophies being handed out to deserving automakers. Ward's 10 Best Interiors being one of them.
As the name might imply, the magazine focuses on the very best interior treatments in the US market. Whereas some awards purposely exclude extreme, high-dollar offerings, Ward's considers them - the only requirement is that a vehicle has a "new or significantly redesigned interior."
Ward's offered up the list of winners in simple, alphabetical order, and it only seems fair to do the same:
2015 Mazda2 spotted on the road
Tue, 15 Apr 2014When Mazda unveiled the Hazumi Concept at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, our excitement for the next Mazda2 increased considerably. The Hazumi looks to retain much of the driving character that makes the current 2 one of the very best cars in its segment while infusing it with more aggressive styling. Of course, when the 2 arrives, it won't look exactly like the Hazumi. That's why these spy photos are so important.
This is our very first look at the next-generation 2, and although the Hazumi influence might be difficult to discern, thanks to the swirly camo, it's still there. The grille shape and the headlights are very similar in shape to the items shown on the concept, while the camouflage disguises the shape of the greenhouse, which looks somewhat like the Hazumi.
What we can't see, though, is under the hood. That's where our spies come in, reporting that a pair of 1.5-liter SkyActiv engines will see action in the tossable 2. The former, which we'll almost certainly see in the US, is a gas-powered mill found in the Euro-spec Mazda3. In the larger 3, it produces 99 horsepower and 111 pound-feet of torque, which is broadly similar to what the current 2's 1.5-liter pumps out. The other engine, a 1.5-liter SkyActiv diesel, probably won't be making the trip, although we'll continue to hope.
