2005 Mazda Mx-5 on 2040-cars

2005 Mazda Speed Miata in black mica. 6 speed. GT package, leather interior, cloth top, 41,500 miles.

MazdaSpeed MX-5s have a factory turbocharger installed. This is one of the highest horsepower Miatas ever produced by Mazda.

Has all the MazdaSpeed accessories such as the Bose stereo system, MazdaSpeed factory Racinghart wheels, body trim from the factory, and MazdaSpeed chrome exhaust tip.

This car is very rare and unique; I know most serious buyers of this vehicle already know the history and run down of the car... but let me refresh your memory if you have forgotten. There were only 4,000 MazdaSpeed Miata's made in 2004, in 2005 they planned to make another 4,000 but the production was run short due to a fire and Mazda only cranked out 1,428 of these. This particular car is a GT(grand touring) model and with that package comes leather upholstery and a cloth top.

The car is in good condition overall, mechanically it is 100% and everything under the hood is original and completely unmolested. Car needs nothing but a driver.

Cons: The car's passenger side was lightly keyed. I didn't repaint due to everything being original. It doesn't bother me and can is only noticed up close. Also, the previous owner has "debadged" this car by removing the emblems off of the front bumper and trunk lid. I do not have the emblems, but know that they are available inexpensively on eBay (under $50 for all), and they are chrome-plastic held on with double-stick tape. Pictures of everything are below for your viewing pleasure.

Of course it also has all of the other bells and whistles from the factory: anti-lock brakes, ice-cold A/C, driver and passenger airbag, power locks and windows.

$500.00 DUE END OF AUCTION NON-REFUNDABLE, must make pickup arrangements within 3 days end of auction and title will be transferred at time of pickup.

2015 Mazda3 interior spied for the first time

Wed, 08 May 2013

In terms of exterior appearance, not much has changed from the last time we spotted the next-generation Mazda3 out testing. Oh, sure - we can see plenty of details that clearly show the new Kodo design influence (that front end reminds us a whole lot of the sleek new Mazda6), but these latest round of spy shots don't really show us anything we haven't seen before. Oh, wait, yes they do - the interior.
Feast your eyes on the Mazda3's insides, showing a vastly reworked interior that also takes cues from the automaker's most recently refreshed products. We can see that there's a simple, clean center stack with a slim row of heating and cooling functions, and up top there's a large, presumably touchscreen display, with redundant controls found just aft of the shifter.
We expect that the 2015 Mazda3 will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September, packing both petrol and diesel engines. A sedan variant is also in the works, and should debut shortly after the hatchback.

Mazda returning to top-tier racing with diesel-powered prototype in USCC

Thu, 14 Nov 2013

Mazda has unveiled its latest challenger in the top flight of endurance racing, a diesel-powered prototype that will campaign the inaugural, 2014 Tudor United SportsCar Championship. The new Skyactiv-D-powered car will make its race debut at January's Rolex 24 at Daytona.
"This is the most significant step Mazda has taken towards returning to the global racing stage since our overall victory at Le Mans in 1991," said the director of Mazda Motorsports, John Doonan. That historic racecar, the rotary-powered 787B, has grown to become one of Mazda's many, well-known racers.
More recently, the Japanese brand has been making waves in the Grand-Am series, campaigning RX-8s and, most recently, running diesel-powered Mazda6 sedans in the GX-class. Mazda will campaign two factory-backed prototypes at Daytona. Driver lineups will be announced closer to race day.

Mazda delays US launch of Skyactiv-D engine

Thu, 09 Jan 2014

Japanese automakers haven't lead the charge towards diesel power in the same way as, say, the Germans have. But Mazda is out to change that. It has been following Audi's lead on the racetrack with oil-burning racecars right here in America, and will soon translate that excitement to the road by introducing its Skyactiv-D engine in North America. It just won't happen as soon as we expected.
Mazda announced today that, while its diesel engine meets current emissions requirements, the company has decided once again to push back an introduction originally slated to kick off in the Spring. According to the brief statement below, Mazda wants to take more time to find "the right balance between fuel economy and Mazda-appropriate driving performance."
In other words, the Zoom-Zoom brand apparently thinks its diesel engine doesn't deliver the zoom-zoom American drivers would expect, so we'll have to wait just a little bit longer. Details to follow closer to launch, whenever that will ultimately take place.
