Winter has been tough.
Spring is here. What better way to celebrate warm weather than in a red convertible? Here is it is.... 2001 Mazda Miata MX5 LS Convertible in Classic Red with Saddle leather interior. Fully equipped with air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, Bose sound system, and optional Miata road wheels. Recently replaced convertible top and recent replacement of performance tires makes this Miata LS ready for warm weather fun. I purchased this great car from Sentry Insurance after it was involved in an accident where the rear of the car was damaged. I had the deck lid and rear bumper replaced and the right rear quarter panel repaired. I have included pictures prior to the repairs to disclose the extent of prior damage. This vehicle is being offered with a Missouri "Prior Salvage" title. This Miata looks and drives great and gets amazing fuel mileage. A lot of bang for the bucks ! Other than some minor paint discoloration on the right front fender and a small spot on the driver door, an excellent car with LOW miles. No bids accepted with bidders with negative feedback. Mazda reveals 25th anniversary edition MX-5 Miata alongside next-gen chassis
Thu, 17 Apr 2014Ford may be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Mustang this week, but it's not the only automaker with a sports car icon to fete at this year's New York Auto Show. Mazda is also celebrating the 25th anniversary of the MX-5 Miata with an array of 15 classic models. It's also showing off the chassis for the next MX-5, and unveiling a special 25th Anniversary Edition.
The special edition is based on the retractable hardtop model with either manual or automatic transmission, Bilstein shocks, a metallic red paint job with contrasting black roof and an off-white leather interior. Naturally, special badging can be found inside and out to set it apart from the record 940,000 other MX-5s sold to date, and just 100 examples will find their way to US buyers.
Along with the two-tone special, Mazda is also showing off the new Skyactiv chassis and engine that'll underpin and power the upcoming next-generation MX-5 (as well as an as-yet-to-be-determined Fiat Group roadster if the two parties can work out their differences). With a lower center of gravity that's also closer to the middle of the car, the new chassis promises even better balance and a good couple hundred pounds of weight savings over the outgoing model. Honda, Nissan and Mazda recalling 3 million vehicles for airbag inflators
Mon, 23 Jun 2014Three million more vehicles can be added to the worldwide tally to be repaired for the faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata. Honda, Nissan, and Mazda have all issued recalls to replace the bad part, including about 1.2 million of them in North America. NHTSA has been investigating all three companies, plus Chrysler and Toyota, for potentially affected vehicles.
Honda is recalling roughly 1.02 million Civic, CR-V, Odyssey and Element models In North America, built between April 2000 and October 2002. Mazda needs to repair 14,794 units of the RX-8 and Mazda6, and Nissan has 228,000 vehicles in North America to be fixed.
Chrysler is also starting what it calls a "regional field action" to replace the inflators in the 2006 Dodge Charger, according to a company spokesperson. The company says that it has not yet found the problem in any of its vehicles, but it's being done "out of an abundance of caution." The final number of Chargers affected will be announced later this week.
