Hello and thanks for looking. Here I have a 2001 Mazda Miata MX-5 LS convertible for auction. I'm selling this car for my brother-he purchased it on E-Bay a few years ago and has decided to sell it. Originally it was from Florida & he brought it to Wisconsin. It has always been stored in winter and has never seen salt. for opations, it has: Leather trimmed upholstery with walnut accents, reclining bucket seats, carpeted floormats, COLD air conditioning, AM/FM/CD Stereo w/Clock, BOSE Audio System, power windows & locks, cruise control, 4-wheel double-wishbone independent suspension, limited slip differential, driver & passenger air bags, side-impact door beams, 205/45R16Fuzion ZR1 redial tires with 60-70% tread remaining, 16-inch alloy wheels w/locks, Multi-reflector halogen headlights, fog lamps, power antenna & dual power mirrors. As the pictures show, it is in excellent to outstanding condition, with only 39,985 original miles. The Midnight Blue Mica metallic paint looks & shines great-there are only a few small nicks & chips-very normal for the age of the vehicle There is absolutely no rust & the engine compartment is exceptionally clean as is the trunk. This car also comes with the highly desirable removable hardtop. The tan convertible top is in excellent condition-it folds down easily. The oil & filter were changed less than 500 miles ago. The interior is in excellent condition-no rips or tears-the drivers seat has a small amount of wear on the side where you get in-very normal for the age, otherwise the carpeting & dasboard are spotless. Also a new battery was installed a year ago. This car runs & drives like a dream, plus it gets GREAT gas mileage. Also shown it comes with the original owners manual, booklets, Experian car report, even the window sticker. There is also a custom-fitted car cover. if you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me, and thanks again for looking. Additionally, this vehicle is sold as is, where is, there is no warranty express or implied. Mazda3 celebrates 10 happy years
Tue, 25 Jun 2013Mazda is on the cusp of unveiling an all-new Mazda3, but the compact will mark an important milestone before that happens. The very first Mazda3 rolled off of the assembly line on June 25, 2003. A decade later, the little car has snagged some 136 awards. The first generation sold 2.2 million units over the span of six years, and the second has smiled its way into the hearts of 1.4 million buyers since 2009. Mazda notes the machine even took the honor of being the top-selling passenger car in Australia in 2011 and 2012.
So, what will the future bring? The Japanese automaker is keeping the details to itself for the moment. From the spy photos we've seen, it looks as if the new design will fall under the company's new Kodo design philosophy. That same language brought us the perilously sexy Mazda6, and the new Mazda3 should be no less attractive. You can check out those photos here.

From Maseratis to rental cars | Autoblog Podcast #511
Fri, Apr 7 2017On this week's podcast, Mike Austin and David Gluckman are in a huddle room (again), because the studio was already taken (again). We talk about the all-wheel-drive Dodge Challenger GT (again), as well as the Jeep Wrangler, Maserati Levante, Miata RF (again), and then David waxes poetic on mediocre rental cars (or similar). The episode wraps up with the traditional doling out of Spend My Money buying advice, with some input from an S2000 owner on advice discussed last time. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?) And if you have other questions or comments, please send those too. Mazda delays US launch of Skyactiv-D engine
Thu, 09 Jan 2014Japanese automakers haven't lead the charge towards diesel power in the same way as, say, the Germans have. But Mazda is out to change that. It has been following Audi's lead on the racetrack with oil-burning racecars right here in America, and will soon translate that excitement to the road by introducing its Skyactiv-D engine in North America. It just won't happen as soon as we expected.
Mazda announced today that, while its diesel engine meets current emissions requirements, the company has decided once again to push back an introduction originally slated to kick off in the Spring. According to the brief statement below, Mazda wants to take more time to find "the right balance between fuel economy and Mazda-appropriate driving performance."
In other words, the Zoom-Zoom brand apparently thinks its diesel engine doesn't deliver the zoom-zoom American drivers would expect, so we'll have to wait just a little bit longer. Details to follow closer to launch, whenever that will ultimately take place.
