This 2000 Miata SE is in Very Good Condition. The Paint is a 7 or better, interior is a 7.5 or better and mechanically it is an 8 or better. The car has never been wrecked or abused and has been adult driven. There are the usual small stone dings on the front and the spoiler has been over some high curbs and scraped some. the paint is all original with no touch up or repaint. The interior is Tan Leather and has no rips or tears, there is normal wear on the drivers seat bolster. The top is original and has no holes or tears. Everthing on the car works as is should. I just put 4 new tires on this car and had the brakes completely done including rotors. Total cost or this recent work (in the last 60 days) was $1700.00. I also installed a new Battery. This is a great little car and I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere. The 57 corvette look is vinyl tape and could be easily removed with a hair dryer if you do not like it, and the Grill bars are very easy to remove. This car gets positive comments everywhere and lots of people not real familiar with a real 57 corvette, mistake it for a corvette. I kinda get tired of saying "It is not a corvette, it's a Miata" Great Car. I bought it thinking I could still drive a small low to the ground car, but I was WRONG (I just turned 70) The car comes with a car cover and convertible boot cover. Car and Driver 10Best list cracked by Tesla Model S, BMW 3 Series left off
Fri, Nov 21 2014Car and Driver is keeping new blood pumping into its annual 10Best cars list with three new entries making it on for 2015 and a perennial favorite falling off. Among the biggest shocks this year is that the BMW 3 Series and 4 Series are no longer named, despite years of some portion of that lineup earning a mention. In another surprise, the Tesla Model S (specifically in S 60 trim to fit under the $80,000 cost cap) makes it to the 2015 roster and is the only electrically motivated member of the group. Despite the loss of the 3 Series, BMW isn't entirely shut out this year, because the M235i gets its name on the list. Car and Driver argues that the little coupe feels like a welcome throwback to the E46 chassis M3 of the early 2000s. In addition to the Model S, the final newbie to the annual group is the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. The inclusion of these new members knocks the Audi A6/A7 family and Ford Fiesta ST out from the 2014 rundown. The other seven models carry over from last year, including the Cadillac CTS, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, Honda Accord, Mazda3, Mazda6, Porsche Boxster/Cayman and Volkswagen Golf/GTI. The 2015 10Best cars list certainly seems to have something for everyone from the hot hatch fan to the family man and even the green car driver, thanks to the addition of the Tesla. World Car of the Year finalists announced
Fri, 07 Mar 2014To say the 2014 Geneva Motor Show was packed full of news is an understatement as big as the show's home at the Palexpo convention center. Despite everything that we were able to cover during this year's show, there's still more coming out of Switzerland, including the announcement of the finalists for the 2014 World Car of the Year Awards.
We reported on the original list of finalists over three weeks ago, and now, that initial list has been pared down to three finalists for each of the five awards. The finalists were announced at a press conference by frequent Autoblog contributor and co-chair of the awards, Matt Davis (above).
The finalists for the overall title of 2014 World Car of the Year are the Audi A3, the BMW 4 Series and the Mazda3. The World Luxury Car of the Year will be either the Bentley Flying Spur, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class or the Land Rover Range Rover Sport, while the Performance Car of the Year will be awarded to the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, the Ferrari 458 Speciale or the Porsche 911 GT3 (which, um, yeah...).
