See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"There are two small, hard to notice dings on the hood(from a pine cone) (see photo #18) and some minor nicks in the exterior paint. There is a small amount of touch up paint on the front bumper from where someone backed up into the license plate, but does not stand out since it is behind the license plate. See pictures for more detail. The vehicle history report does not show the final smog inspection for some reason. The recent failure was due to the fact that the engine computer had been reset after a tune-up and the car had not been driven long enough for the OBD2 to complete all its system checks. This results in an automatic failure even though the check engine light in not on. As for the lien history from 13 years ago, this is the first I have heard of it, but I assure you that it is not a problem any more. The car did easily pass its last smog inspection and is registered until august 2014."

We bought this car in Feb. 2008 with 106,310 miles.  Since then the car has been very well maintained with oil changes every 4k-5k miles using mobil 1 oil and oil filters.   Just passed smog inspection and payed registration  until Aug. 2014.  I am selling because my wife does not drive a stick shift and does not enjoy riding with the top down.

2016 Mazda6 gets a facelift in LA

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

The 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show is a busy one for Mazda, as the Japanese brand shows off not only its all-new CX-3, but a facelifted Mazda6 sedan.
The 2016 sedan has been nipped and tucked to better fit in with newer members of the brand's range, including the aforementioned CX-3, as well as the Mazda3 and MX-5 Miata.
The grille's horizontal slats are now trimmed in chrome, while the brand's chrome wing motif on the fascia is larger and more prominent, particularly where it feeds into the headlights.

Mazda recalling 88k vehicles for ECU glitch

Fri, 04 Apr 2014

Need a break from news about the General Motors ignition switch recall? This Mazda recall should serve as a nice change of pace. It involves 88,000 cars across the globe, and focuses on the brand's three most recent (and important) models - the Mazda3, Mazda6 and CX-5.
The issue rests with Mazda's new i-ELOOP regenerative braking system. Apparently there's a problem with the ECU program that monitors whether a capacitor in the regen system is working. Acceleration is affected, and in severe cases, the engine could stall. There have been no mention of accidents or injuries due to the issue, and the glitch itself can be cured by an ECU reflash.
As i-ELOOP is a fairly new system for Mazda, particularly in the US, the total number of affected models is rather low, with just 6,500 US cars affected. Europe is hit hardest, with 38,000 models while Mazda's home market of Japan adds 27,600 cars and crossovers. Affected models were built between October 2012 and January 2014.

Next Mazda MX-5 Miata to weigh a ton(ne), literally

Wed, 27 Nov 2013

Looking at recent spy shots of the fourth-generation Mazda Miata, it's obvious this sporty little roadster will grow in size compared to the current model, but it's also going on a diet. At the Tokyo Motor Show, Auto Motor und Sport sat down with Mazda executive Kiyoshi Fujiwara, who gave a little more insight into the Miata's redesign.
Fujiwara said that they're aiming for a curb weight of a tonne (metric ton), which is 1,000 kilograms or right around 2,200 pounds, for the next-generation Miata. This would make the roadster at least 300 pounds lighter than the current NC Miata, but still about 200 pounds heavier than the original NA.
There is no indication as to how Mazda will go about removing that much weight from the bigger car, but with as popular as the power retractable hard top (PHRT) model is on the current car, the new Miata may ditch this feature to lose its weight. Improving the power-to-weight ratio appears to be a key goal of the Mazda team, so we also wouldn't be surprised to see a more powerful engine underneath the longer hood.
