Hi, We are selling our family owned 1997 Mazda Miata. Our Miata has been adult owned and adult driven and it has been in my family since it was purchased new. My father passed it on to my older brother and my brother passed it on to me and I have taken good care of it, it has always been garaged with a cover. Our Miata has never been wrecked, it has a Clear Blue Texas Title on hand ready to be signed over to you. Our Miata has always been serviced on time, it has new tires, brakes, belts, hoses, synthetic oil change, the a/c is very cold, the heater works perfect, power windows works perfect, no engine leaks, no issues at all, original radio, original Miata tonneau top cover and more. It runs very smooth and flawlessly and it still has everything original and in excellent shape, just like it was when we purchased it at the Mazda Dealership. Our Miata has a few door dings, a few small sun spot and a few small scratches but it does not have any rust spots at all, it has never seen snow it has always been in Texas. In the near future it will need a new top or rear window as it still has the original top on it. The only reason we are selling this wonderful Miata is because I am having back surgery soon and we need to cover medical expenses and I won't be able to drive it any more as my back won't let me drive manual transmission. Pease look at the pictures you will not regret buying this awesome little fun car for you and your family. Please bid with confidence! NO RESERVE! Just bid, win, take it home! Our Miata is for sale locally as well so I do Reserve The Right To End The Auction Early. This Miata is being sold "as-is". (Which is in Amazing Conditions and Runs Flawlessly!) Paypal payment deposit and the rest of the amount in person and in cash. Deposit is non refundable if you back out of the deal. But, it will be deducted from the the purchase price. For exampe if you win it for $4,500 you will deposit $500 via PayPal and the other $4,000 you will pay it in person and cash. Very Respectfully and Happy Bidding! Thank you! |

Mazda CX-5 named Japan's Car of The Year, Subaru BR-Z wins "Special Award"
Mon, 03 Dec 2012The Mazda CX-5 stamped its Kodo design and SkyActiv technology authority all over the Japan Car of the Year awards, taking the top prize ahead of the Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT 86. It is Mazda's second victory in the last ten years, the 2005 MX-5 claiming the same trophy, and the fourth time the Hiroshima company has won.
The award is decided by 60 local "automotive experts and journalists," and open to any passenger car released in Japan from November 1, 2011 to October 31, 2012 that has sold more than 500 units. Each judge gets 25 votes, his or her top vote getting 10 points, the rest of the points being spread among the judge's choice for the next best four cars.
The second-place getters were the Toyobaru twins with 318 votes, the surprise being they didn't beat or get any closer to the crossover. The Subaru BRZ did claw some mojo back, earning the Special Award given to cars that have made "an exceptional impact." The BMW 3 Series was third overall and won the Import Car of the Year award with plenty of room between it and the second place Range Rover Evoque.
At least 15 states jockeying for Toyota and Mazda factory jobs
Fri, Aug 18 2017Just a few weeks ago, Mazda and Toyota announced a partnership that would lead to an all-new $1.6 billion plant here in the United States. The plant will build EVs and is expected to employ roughly 4,000 people directly while creating thousands of indirect jobs through suppliers, shipping and more. The Detroit Free Press reports that as many as 15 Midwestern and Southern states are understandably interested in striking a deal with the automakers. Most of the states already have ties to the auto industry. While the Midwest has traditionally been home to auto manufacturing in the United States, in the past 25 years or so, the South has made a big push, offering tax incentives and a union-free workforce. Alabama alone is home to facilities from Honda, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz and Toyota. Others house a burgeoning tech or manufacturing industry ripe for the picking. Freep breaks down the pros and cons for each state, with much of the focus being on supply chains and a reliable and plentiful workforce. The latter is of particular concern in states like Alabama and Michigan that already have a big auto industry. Toyota may feel those areas have already been tapped for talent. Most of the states are along or adjacent to Interstate 75 and its extended roots, so others like Texas and Iowa will have to fight hard if they want this facility. It's only been a few weeks, though. With manufacturing jobs in such great demand and elected officials eager to show they're seeking them for their states, it wouldn't be surprising if a few more joined the fray. Mazda6, Honda CR-V and an Autoblogger's BMW Z3 | Autoblog Podcast #620
Fri, Mar 27 2020In this week's Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by West Coast Editor James Riswick and Road Test Editor Zac Palmer. First, they talk about the cars that have been in their driveways, like the Mazda6, Lexus UX 250h and Honda CR-V, as well as Riswick's own BMW Z3 (where he actually recorded the podcast from). Then they discuss the news, which includes car dealers moving to digital commerce and other updates about — you guessed it — coronavirus, and how it's affecting the automotive industry. Finally, they take to Twitter to help a follower choose a weekend convertible for long, isolated drives in this week's "Spend My Money" segment.
