1990 Mazda Miata on 2040-cars

This is a 1990 Mazda Miata with 56,894 miles. It has a 4 cylinder engine, 5 speed manual transmission, and power brakes. The car has original red paint, black interior, black top, and the original rear window. All in very good shape, with minor imperfections. I have pointed to one door ding, one ding on the right rear fender in the battery area, and one scratch. I'm sure ther are others down low from road debris, but they are very minor. The rear bumper has some fading from the sun when the garage door was open. The car sold new in San Diego California, and I am the 3rd owner. This is NOT a rusty car. The previous owner added a Flying Mazda spring set, strut brace, sub frame brace, and sway bar kit. He also added Tokico Gas Shocks, and a aftermarket radio with an amplifier, aftermarket wheels. and a lumbar support in the drivers seat. The spring set lowers the car a few inches. I put new Toyo tires on the car a year ago. I use Mobil 1 Oil (10-30) and change it regularly The Miata runs like a clock, and gets 30 mpg. Shown in the pictures is a top boot, floor mats (drivers side is worn a bit) a Mazda maintenance manual, and a Ralph Lauren lap blanket that my wife bought and never used. I wiil assist in transportation, as long as you make arrangements. The car will be held untill it is payed for in full, and all bank transfers have cleared. There are dissapointments with this Miata. Mazda 16X rotary engine two years away, will arrive in all-new model
Fri, 16 Aug 2013We last reported on Mazda's next-generation rotary engine project in June of 2012 when the automaker built its last Renesis-powered RX-8, but rumors of this new engine's development had been around way before that final car left the production line in Japan, last year.
We now have enthusiastic confirmation that this next-gen rotary engine is really and truly going forward. It is still referred to as 16X and has several priorities. First is to lower fuel consumption compared to the RX-8's engine, while still making gains in terms of performance. The second is to reduce the burning of oil that was happening at the highest revs. And the third and final priority, and perhaps most key for enthusiasts, is to give the powertrain a big torque upgrade.
What we were told by a Mazda USA insider (while we are all here together at the festivities in Monterey) is that the first application of the new 16X engine will be happening in two years' time in an as yet undisclosed new model. Oh, the mind races to our eternal Mazda wish list...

Mazda3 celebrates 10 happy years
Tue, 25 Jun 2013Mazda is on the cusp of unveiling an all-new Mazda3, but the compact will mark an important milestone before that happens. The very first Mazda3 rolled off of the assembly line on June 25, 2003. A decade later, the little car has snagged some 136 awards. The first generation sold 2.2 million units over the span of six years, and the second has smiled its way into the hearts of 1.4 million buyers since 2009. Mazda notes the machine even took the honor of being the top-selling passenger car in Australia in 2011 and 2012.
So, what will the future bring? The Japanese automaker is keeping the details to itself for the moment. From the spy photos we've seen, it looks as if the new design will fall under the company's new Kodo design philosophy. That same language brought us the perilously sexy Mazda6, and the new Mazda3 should be no less attractive. You can check out those photos here.
