This Mazda is a clean southern car and has been very well maintained.  It handles great and gets great gas mileage.  The top is in good condition with no tears or leaks.  I had 4 new Kumho Tires installed on June 7, 2014.  Everything works as it should on this fun car.  It also comes with 2 keys and the owner’s manual.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by phone 219-775-0819.

This Mazda has a clean AutoCheck history and I had an inspection performed by an independent mechanic and everything checked out great except the tires which were loud and choppy and were replaced.

Please be aware that I am an Indiana Dealer and I collect 7% Indiana State Sales Tax and a $200 Document Fee (includes temporary plate).  If you live outside of the State of Indiana, please check to make sure your state has a reciprocal auto tax agreement with Indiana (check with your states department of revenue) and the tax collected will be sent to the state where you register the car so you are not double taxed.  The majority of states have a reciprocal tax agreement with the State of Indiana.  If your tax rate is different it is your responsibility to pay the difference or receive a refund when you register the car.  If you have any questions, please contact me.

I specialize in clean, well maintained vehicles.  I will be happy to assist you with vehicle pick up.  The two Chicago airports, Midway and O’Hare, are similar distances away with an hourly coach shuttle (coachusa.com to the Highland, IN depot).  We do not charge to pick you up from the bus depot but you need to schedule an appointment first.  If you want to ship your vehicle I recommend Cars Transportation (cars-transport.com) pick up from Dyer, IN 46311.  We do not charge extra for this therefore it’s more efficient to contact them direct so you can communicate with the driver as the approach your meeting destination.

Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

Masamichi Kogai new Mazda president and CEO

Fri, 10 May 2013

There's some executive rearranging going on in the top suite at Mazda Motor Corporation in Japan, with current CEO Takashi Yamanouchi telling reporters there "I'd like to hand over the work to younger people" now that the company has returned to profitability. Yamanouchi became CEO on November 19, 2008 of an independent Mazda that had to fight for its future in the immediate aftermath of the global financial crisis. What followed was four years of losses before finally getting back to black last year.
Masamichi Kogai (pictured) will be appointed the new president and CEO on June 25, pending approval at the company's annual general shareholders' meeting. Kogai assisted Seita Kanai with the production-efficiency initiative that Mazda called Mono Tsukuri Innovation, which worked to give export-dependent Mazda the best chance at profitability in spite of a rising yen. Kogai, lately in charge of production and purchasing, has been with the company since 1977 and worked in areas from R&D to logistics.
Kanai, who headed the Mono Tsukuri effort and was among the leadership on Skyactiv, will be promoted from executive vice president to vice chairman. Akira Marumoto will become executive VP of Mazda and assistant to new president Kogai. Yamanouchi will remain Chairman of the Board. There's a short press release below to make it official.

Mazda reports strong Skyactiv sales, plans to boost output 25%

Tue, 27 Aug 2013

Mazda is set to expand production of its Skyactiv engines after critical and commercial acclaim for the fuel-sipping powerplants. The Japanese manufacturer has a number of plans in the works to bump up production, with the first being a 25-percent increase in output from its Hiroshima, Japan engine facility.
Besides adding a new line, Mazda will modify the line that built MZR engines, a family of mills that includes the 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder found in the Mazdaspeed3 and the 2.0-liter found in the MX-5 Miata. The bump in production is just part of Mazda's goal of selling 1.7 million vehicles globally by 2016, with 80 percent of those vehicles expected to wear a Skyactiv badge.
Mazda also builds Skyactiv engines at a joint-venture facility with Ford, in Changan, China, while a Mexican facility will go online by March of 2014. Skyactiv engines currently power the Mazda3, Mazda6 and CX-5.
