I AM SELLING THIS 2000 MAZDA MPV WITH 149K.  THE VAN IS BEING SOLD AS IS, NO WARRANTIES.  BUY IT FOR PARTS OR REPAIR.   WHEN I SAY REPAIR I MEAN FIX THE BROKEN TAILLIGHTS, BUY A NEW DRIVER SIDE WINDOW REGULATOR AND A NEW BATTERY.   THE VAN DRIVES SMOOTH IT DOES MAKE A SQUEEKY NOISE WHEN YOU TURN THE WHEEL BUT I DONT KNOW IF THAT NOISE IS FROM BEING PARKED FOR OVER 6 MONTHS.  I HAVE CHECKED AND DRIVEN THE VAN AND IT RESPONDS WELL, I JUST DONT HAVE THE TIME TO FIX IT.  THIS VAN WILL BE GOOD IN SOME OTHER HOME OR YOU CAN USE IT FOR PARTS.  LIKE I SAID I DONT OFFER AND WARRANTY THE VAN IS AS-IS.  BUYER RESPONSIBLE FOR PICK UP.  IF YOU LIVE LOCALLY OR WITHIN MA YOU CAN JUST COME PUT YOUR PLATES ON AND DRIVE IT HOME.

Mazda6 diesel to race at Rolex 24, team and drivers announced

Mazda is getting serious about showing off the Skyactiv-D turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine in the Mazda6. The automaker has just announced it will campaign three diesel Mazda6 racers in the Grand-Am GX class of the upcoming 2013 Rolex 24 at Daytona in a quest to walk away with the company's 24th class win. Mazda partnered with SpeedSource to develop the race version of the new sedan, with Japanese and American engineers lending a helping hand where needed. Meanwhile, Freedom Autosport and Visit Florida Racing/SpeedSource/Yellow Dragon Racing will helm teams of their own.
Each car will make use of a five-driver team for the 24-hour race on January 26. In the interim, you can check out the full press release below for more information as well as the full driver roster. Mazda says we can expect to see the No. 70 SpeedSource car under the lights at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show later this month, as well.

Mazda's awesome Hiroshima museum now navigable by Google Maps

Visiting an auto museum is one of the best ways we know to connect with car culture and to commune with the past and bone up on one's knowledge. Most of us have a decent museum within a few hours drive of where we live, but that doesn't mean it's easy to see the world's great collections - factors like cost, time and mobility can get in the way. Videos are great, but they don't allow us to browse at our own pace or choose what we'd like to focus on. The folks behind Google Maps have a solution - the virtual museum tour, as seen here at Mazda's fantastic museum in Hiroshima, Japan.

Lexus, Mazda and Subaru top Consumer Reports Brand Report Cards

A revised methodology in devising its annual Car Brand Report Cards has seen Consumer Reports award Lexus its top overall ranking for 2013. For the first time ever, the institute broke out individual brands from their larger corporate umbrellas, meaning car makers like Lexus and Scion were judged independently from parent company Toyota. That strategy worked out well for Lexus, as the luxury brand earned a top report card score of 79 for the 2013 model year.
The institute has recommended every one of the Lexus models it has tested to date, and said that the company's products won out thanks to "a foundation of plush and very reliable vehicles."
Meanwhile, Mazda and Subaru tied for the second-highest scoring report cars, with scores of 76. Subaru earned praised for sporting models like the BRZ, which CR testers apparently had a lot of fun driving (naturally), while the Mazda products were lauded for their blend of practicality, sportiness and efficiency. Both of the Japanese brands offered good handling, fuel economy and versatility, said Consumer Reports.
