The condition of the exterior, interior and engine can vary depending on the vehicle's history. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections. ...

Condition:  The outside of the vehicle is in excellent condition.  There is a small dent behind the back passenger door, but it is only noticeable if you are looking for it.  The inside is worn from use, and there are some stains.  This vehicle has been smoked in before, but it hasn't been smoked in in over 1 year.  There is a slow oil leak, so the car smokes while it burns off oil, so you might consider getting this fixed.  The leak has been there for a few years, but I haven't had any problems besides the smoke adding oil occasionally.  I had it inspected this past month, and the mechanic said it might need a new belt soon, and the brakes and rotors will need replacing within 6,000 miles.

History:  The car has a brand new battery purchased this month.  It also has a new distributor, spark plugs and spark plug wires (June 25, 2013).  It also just had a tune-up (June 25, 2013).  The oil has been regularly changed, and the most recent oil change was in June, 2013.  This has been my mother's car for the past 9 years.

Shipping and payment:  Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping.  A $500.00 deposit is required through PayPal.  The rest of the money can be cash, personal check or cashier's check, but the vehicle will not be shipped or picked-up until the check is verified as legitimate.

Question of the Day: What's the most irritating car name?

Wed, Mar 9 2016

You hear a lot about how the Chevrolet Nova was a sales flop in Mexico because "No va" means "it doesn't go" in Spanish; in fact, the Nova sold pretty well south of the border, and in any case most Spanish-speakers know that "Nova" means "new" in Latin and Portuguese. However, General Motors doesn't deserve to be let off the hook for bad car names, because the Oldsmobile Achieva— no doubt inspired by the excruciating "coffee achievers" ads of the 1980s— scrapes the biggest fingernails down the screechiest chalkboard in the US-market car-name world. That is, unless you think Daihatsu's incomprehensible choice of Charade was worse. Meanwhile, Japanese car buyers could get machines with cool names like Mazda Bongo Friendee or Honda Life Dunk. It's just not fair! So, what car name drives you the craziest? Related Video: Auto News Design/Style Chevrolet Honda Mazda Daihatsu Automotive History questions car names

Junkyard Gem: 1989 Mazda MX-6 GT Turbo

Fri, Nov 18 2016

The Mazda MX-6 is best-known in the United States as the sibling (or maybe first cousin) of the Ford Probe, which almost became the successor to the Fox Mustang. The MX-6 and Probe were well-engineered and very quick for the era, but never enjoyed great American-market sales success. Here's a rare first-generation MX-6 GT that I photographed last week in a Denver self-service yard. 145 turbocharged horsepower was pretty good for 1989, when a new Honda Prelude Si had 135 horses and the far more expensive BMW 325i ($24,650 for the 325i coupe versus $14,499 for the MX-6 GT Turbo) had 168. This one doesn't have the optional four-wheel steering, but it does have the three-way adjustable suspension. If you drove a turbocharged car in 1989, you needed a nine-band equalizer with analog sliders on the radio. It was the law. It's not rusty, but at 205,575 miles it's worn out. The Japanese-market version was known as the Capella C2, and it boasted some great TV commercials. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. As always, the US-market TV ads are less interesting than their Japanese counterparts. 2018 Mazda CX-5 teased ahead of LA reveal

Thu, Oct 27 2016

While it will make its full debut at the LA Auto Show, Mazda released a teaser of the new CX-5 ahead of time. Like so many other teasers, the car is obscured by low light, but we can make out some significant details. For one, it appears that Mazda has toned down the muscular curves of the current CX-5's front fenders. In fact, many of the crisp creases of the current model have been softened on this new version. Below you can see a brighter version of the teaser alongside an image of the current model. The greenhouse also appears lower and longer than the current model, and it's highlighted by a chrome strip running from the A-pillar back to the roof. Where it terminates also seems to suggest this CX-5 could have the "floating" roof look that's so popular now. However, when comparing the teaser image with recent spy photos, it could just as easily have a more traditional rear pillar and roof design. Those same spy photos also reveal that the new CX-5 will get a more aggressive, concave grille with a mesh insert. This image is all Mazda has revealed of the new crossover so far, so we'll have to wait until the reveal on November 16 for all the details. Related Video:
