Up for sale is a 1994 Mazda MPV 4WD MADE IN JAPAN. It has 142,733 highway miles with a strong and 4-WHEEL DRIVE ENGINE. It's running VERY well for its age and is well taken care of. It has been our family car for a long time so there's typical minor scratches/marks/dings. My dad oil changes it himself every 3 months. The tires are clearly still pretty new with a new spare tire underneath. The exterior is navy blue and the interior is gray with cloth seats. The back seats are both fold-able to increase storage space. Power windows and power locks with cruise control. This is a very clean SUV as you can see, like I said, it's well taken care of. My dad gets it car washed and shined almost every 1-2 weeks. ****PLEASE SEE DETAILED PICTURES*****

New/Recent updates done:
-New shock absorbers
-New strut
-New spare tire (underneath the van below the trunk; there's 2 pictures of it)
-New Cooper Response tires (about 2 months ago)

I am asking $2800 OR BEST OFFER, but please, no low balling. ***CASH ONLY*** If you want to come see the SUV, here's my dad's contact info:

Cell: 908-370-8502 (Voicemail is full if he can't pick up)
Home: 908-964-6696 (If you want to leave a message)

******I HAVE MORE PICTURES; SEND ME AN E-MAIL*********

History of the van:
The 1st owner was my uncle. He then gave this van to my dad since he's his brother for our family to use. So it's well taken care of even if my dad's the 2nd owner since both my dad and uncle are mechanics.

Fiat reconsidering Mazda-based Alfa Romeo roadster? [w/poll]

Mon, 03 Mar 2014

Alfa giveth and Alfa taketh away. With apologies to Job (he has gone through a lot, after all), that's how things are looking at the Italian automaker - whether it's the promise of new products or its impending return to the North American market. But it's especially true when it comes to new roadsters.
While Alfa Romeo is expected to unveil the 4C Spider at the Geneva Motor Show this week, reports are now suggesting that its other roadster project is being called into question. That project is a joint venture between Fiat and Mazda, which was set to produce a version of its next MX-5 Miata as an Alfa Romeo, and was even changing the design to accommodate Alfa's requirements.
Now it appears, however, that the whole project in doubt. The problem seems to stem from Sergio Marchionne's pronouncements that, as long as he's in charge, there won't be an Alfa Romeo built outside of Italy.

Mazda recalling 88k vehicles for ECU glitch

Fri, 04 Apr 2014

Need a break from news about the General Motors ignition switch recall? This Mazda recall should serve as a nice change of pace. It involves 88,000 cars across the globe, and focuses on the brand's three most recent (and important) models - the Mazda3, Mazda6 and CX-5.
The issue rests with Mazda's new i-ELOOP regenerative braking system. Apparently there's a problem with the ECU program that monitors whether a capacitor in the regen system is working. Acceleration is affected, and in severe cases, the engine could stall. There have been no mention of accidents or injuries due to the issue, and the glitch itself can be cured by an ECU reflash.
As i-ELOOP is a fairly new system for Mazda, particularly in the US, the total number of affected models is rather low, with just 6,500 US cars affected. Europe is hit hardest, with 38,000 models while Mazda's home market of Japan adds 27,600 cars and crossovers. Affected models were built between October 2012 and January 2014.

2009-2013 Mazda6 door latch recall covers 161k cars

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

Mazda is voluntarily recalling 161,400 Mazda6 cars due to door latch mounting screws that may loosen, which could cause a door to open while the vehicle is in motion, thereby increasing the risk of accident or injury. The recall covers 2009 through 2013 Mazda6 models manufactured between February 4, 2008 and August 24, 2012.
The recall is expected to begin by October 18, 2013. Mazda will notify owners, and dealers will provide repairs free of charge. Scroll down for the official recall notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
