1992 Mazda B2200 Bagged/lowrider/air Ride on 2040-cars
Freeport, New York, United States
Up for sale is my 1992 Mazda B2200 bagged truck. It has basically new everything. I had it painted last July and stored it soon after in garage for the winter. I put the whole truck together right after it was painted including interior, stereo, all re-wiring, bed area. I will try to detail as much as I can and will include many pictures to show work. Engine: Rebuilt motor with only 800 miles or so (slight tick that can be adjusted) Powder coated valve cover and varies parts New clutch New alternator New Starter New master cylinder Weber carb Pacesetter Headers New clutch slave cylinder Up graded to power steering Optima redtop battery with billet housing (Mounted in bed area) 10 gallon fuel cell (Mounted in bed area) Steel braided front brake lines Interior: Re-apolstered seats and door panels (Black with Dark grey perforated center sections) New Black carpet with extra thick padding Dash was painted black and sections were fiber-glassed to house air ride gauges and painted to match exterior Shifter was cut down 2 inches Interior floor and doors were undercoated to protect prior to re-assembly New window regulators (Both) Billet steering wheel half wrapped black Exterior: Painted Dodge Daytona orange (Go-mango Orange) Shaved Door handles, antennae, emblems, tailgate handle B2600 4x4 hood Fiber-glass flush mount bed cover New windshield Chrome grille Chrome bumper All new light lenses Silver star head lights 17' chrome escalade rims 205/40/17 nitto tires Suspension: Slam specialties bags viar compressor 5 gallon tank Re-positioned rear shocks Truck lays frame when fully deflated Stereo Alpine cd player with blue tooth Alpine amps (2) Sony explode 10" shallow subs Avital alarm with air horns Door popper on driver side door only Truck can be dropped with alarm remote Custom fiber glass kick panels with alpine speakers Total of 6 alpine interior speaker I am sure I am forgetting some things but pictures should help. Truck runs and drives good. Re-Built engine only has a little over 800 miles. No oil leaks or oil burning. Only thing I basically did not change under hood was radiator and it has no issues. The only issues truck has is tick in engine and front driver side bag leaks slightly from rear fittings but not too bad. Slight tap of switch picks it right back up. I am only selling truck to move on to another project. I have lots invested and taking a big loss but I know that's how it goes. Asking much less than invested. If you are local I have no problem with you coming to see truck prior to bidding. I invite you to come see it cause truck looks much better in person. Turns heads everywhere especially when I drop it. Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. DO NOT BID IF YOU HAVE ZERO FEEDBACK. I will cancel and block your bids if you do not contact me first if you have zero feedback.

Mazda MX-5 Miata goes Head 2 Head with Subaru BRZ
Wed, Aug 5 2015It's a battle that's been in the making for some time now: the Subaru BRZ versus the Mazda MX-5 Miata. And now that the new Miata has arrived – and in Club spec to boot – that's exactly what Motor Trend has lined up for its latest episode of Head 2 Head. Now before you go screaming that one's a coupe and the other a convertible, take a few commonalities into account. Roofs aside, both feature a 2.0-liter four mounted up front, driving the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. Both are made by Japanese automakers and cost around $25-30k, give or take. Both produce around the same amount of torque, and while the Subaru may be more powerful, the Mazda's considerably lighter. To create a more even contest, then, you'd have to line a BRZ up against a Scion FR-S, or the MX-5 against the upcoming Fiat version of the same. Of course, being that close on paper doesn't mean that it's a draw. One has to come out on top. And after taking both along country roads and the Streets of Willow racing circuit, our friends at MT have picked one over the other. You'll want to watch the 22-minute video above (or at least skip ahead to the end) to see which came out on top, but if you're as enthused by a purist driver's car as we are, you'll enjoy every minute of it. 2018 L.A. Auto Show: 5-plus takeaways on Jeep, Honda, Porsche and more
Thu, Nov 29 2018The 2018 L.A. Auto Show is making a strong case that auto shows aren't dead. Carmakers are ladling out sports cars and SUVs featuring serious style and performance in Los Angeles, and it's a feast for the senses. We're talking the new Porsche 911, the long-awaited Jeep Gladiator and the stylish Mazda3. It's the best car show with the most important reveals since the 2018 Detroit Auto Show kicked off the year. Here are some quick reactions: The 2019 Jeep Gladiator is a rock star When the story went live on Autoblog, our traffic went straight up. I've literally never seen the graph go straight up. So yeah, you guys seem to like it. I do, too. It's everything I want in a vehicle, including enough of a retro feel that it satisfies my cravings for an old Cherokee XJ. It's more capable and likely more expensive than I originally anticipated, but Jeep is going to have to expand its Toledo factory to keep up with demand. Don't be fooled by whatever the politicians say when that happens. It's because people like Jeeps and pickups, and this is the hero sandwich of all of that. I'd likely go with the 3.6-liter and a manual transmission if I were buying a Gladiator, but the diesel is compelling, too. Gladiator is a great name, drenched in history. I like it better than Scrambler, which never felt right to me. Only issue: It's a little over-the-top. Imagine this conversation: "So, ready to go to Panera?" "Sure, let's take the Gladiator." I mean, it's a bit much to refer to your personal vehicle as the Gladiator. Unless Russell Crowe is driving it. Then it's fine. The 2020 Porsche 911 is conservatively brilliant Every time I drive a 718 Cayman, Jaguar F-Type or another 911 challenger, I wonder if the 911 may be over the hill. It's not. And it likely never will be. This latest generation, dubbed 992 in Porsche-speak, stayed the course. The back takes some Mission E stylings that give the 911 a more modern feel. The flat six gets a little more power. The digital-heavy interior looks futuristic and slick. But overall, it's a blocking-and-tackling update that should satisfy the purists and maybe draw in a few new Porsche fans. It's the right time for the 2019 Honda Passport This slots between the Honda CR-V and the Honda Pilot. That's serious segmentation, but it's another crossover, and it's undoubtedly what the people want.
Teen Miata enthusiast and friend of Autoblog passes away
Tue, 09 Sep 2014
When Thomas' illness made it impossible for him to drive, he relied on friends to do it for him.
Attending the reveal of the 2016 MX-5 Miata and the subsequent 25th anniversary celebration at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca confirmed that the little roadster maintains broad appeal, one not limited to the elderly or a certain gender as detractors might have you believe. In fact, the assembled crowd was surprisingly youthful, particularly amongst the club racer set and tuners. But one young Miata owner and superfan unfortunately wasn't in attendance - Thomas Jost, 19, was busy fighting for his life in a Maryland hospital.
