I feel it is my duty not only as an American but as a member of the North American Hunting Club to first warn anyone who is even thinking about considering to read this ad. THIS VEHICLE HAS THE TEMPERAMENT OF A RABID LION FRESH OFF OF THE AFRICAN SAVANNAH, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO STAY IN THE KITCHEN IF YOU CANNOT HANDLE THE HEAT THIS VEHICLE IS PUTTIN’ DOWN

Well, now that we’ve got that out of the way, prepare yourself to be introduced to by far, the most awe-inspiring machine that god himself has ever graced green Earth with. A 1983 Mazda B2200 powered by the powerhouse Perkins 2.2L Diesel Engine. Yes, I did say diesel. How you ask? Ford. The 80s were a precarious time. So precarious in fact that Ford Motor Company based right here in the best country on Earth, the United States of America, decided to introduce a diesel engine in their line of small pickup trucks. Now being that Ford owns Mazda, A small amount of the diesel engine destined for the Ford Courier pickups made their way to the Mazda plant where an angel himself had the ingenuity to plop one of these bad-boy diesel engines into the mighty B2200 pickup. Now, the genius from Mazda who decided to put this diesel engine in knew that this thing would be laying down some serious manly power, and the only way to back up all that power would be to mate that bad-boy to a 5 speed manual transmission. Because real men drive with three pedals, and two hands. Another feature the Mazda angel decided to throw in was a long bed for hauling around all those heavy loads. Trust me, this diesel will haul a hefty load.

Since the birth of this Mazda B2200 pickup, the few chosen ones blessed with the privilege of piloting this beast have only traveled 130,000 miles meaning that this thing has only just begun to stretch its legs. By my estimates, it has roughly two million more miles to go before the engine is even broken in.

Now, let me break it down into a little list of why you need this truck

                Pros:

                It’s a diesel

                It’s a manual

                It has low miles

OH YEAH I FORGOT TO MENTION IT GETS 40mpg (yes FOR-TEE miles per the US Gallon)

It gets all of the girls

Cons: (I don’t even think these can even really be considered cons)

It has a couple battle scars

It will need new tires here shortly because even heroes need new shoes

Also included with the purchase of this vehicle in the most custom and advanced security system  anyone has ever had the pleasure of feasting their eyes upon. It has what I like to call a break-action-dislocating-assisted-single-system or, BADASS, for short. Basically, what this system does is incorporate 2, yes 2, ignition switches. I know what you're thinking….THAT'S TOTALLY AWESOME! You’re assumption is correct. This double ignition system will prevent even a down on their luck doctor of electrical engineering from attempting to take off with your diesel rig.

The last few things worth mentioning are very important nonetheless. To reflect the most custom anti-theft device you have ever seen, it also had to have the most custom paint job you have even seen. 100% oil-based glass white paint catches anyone’s attention and will reflect a photon beam generated by the death star itself. This monster will also include the most beastly of rear bumpers ever imagined to protect your vehicle when you do get the chance to pilot this thing into battle

In Conclusion,

2016 Mazda CX-3 scores 29/35 mpg EPA ratings

Tue, Jun 9 2015

Looking for a subcompact crossover that won't cost you too much at the pumps? Your best bet is now the new Mazda CX-3, according to fuel economy figures released by the EPA. Mazda's new baby crossover has been rated by the US government agency at 29 miles per gallon in the city, 35 on the highway, and 31 on the combined cycle. That's in front-drive spec, giving the CX-3 better fuel economy than anything else in its class (at least, that is, with an automatic transmission.) Option it with all-wheel drive and you'll take a slight penalty at 27 mpg in the city, 32 on the highway, and 29 combined. According to Mazda that still "makes it among the most fuel-efficient all-wheel-drive vehicles available in the US." Whichever drivetrain option you go for, the CX-3 packs a 2.0-liter inline-four with direct injection (Skyactiv-G in Mazda-speak) good for 146 horsepower and just as much torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The first examples will begin reaching American showrooms later this summer. As Mazda's first foray into the quickly burgeoning subcompact crossover class of vehicles, CX-3 provides those seeking a purposeful, stylish and sporty vehicle option that bucks convention. CX-3 offers standard keyless ignition and backup camera, and is available with features that are unrivalled in its class like Mazda Radar Cruise Control, adaptive LED headlights and Mazda's signature driving experience. Front-wheel-drive models have EPA-estimated fuel economy of 29 mpg city/35 mpg highway/31 mpg combined, while models equipped with Mazda's predictive i-ACTIV AWD have EPA-estimated fuel economy of 27 mpg city/32 mpg highway/29 mpg combined. That makes it among the most-efficient all-wheel-drive vehicles available in the U.S. "SKYACTIV Technology means we don't have to compromise when it comes to performance, efficiency and fun-to-drive dynamics," said Jim O'Sullivan, president and CEO, Mazda North American Operations.

2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata design walkaround

Sat, Sep 13 2014

By now, you've likely read what we think of the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata's new looks both inside and out, and you've probably poured over the available photos and started to make up your own mind about the roadster's radically more aggressive new appearance. More than likely, however, you haven't heard much from Mazda itself about its new design, and we're here to remedy that. Join Autoblog as we go over the new Miata from tip to tail with Derek Jenkins, Mazda North America's director of design. Jenkins, a veteran of both Audi and Volkswagen design studios, has been with the Japanese automaker for nearly four years, and he's kept a close eye in the ND Miata program along with his team in Irvine, CA. Check out our video to see Jenkins explain his team's exterior and cabin handiwork and to learn a little more about why the new model graduates from the Miata's historically cute and friendly aesthetic to something altogether more assertive.

Honda, Nissan and Mazda recalling 3 million vehicles for airbag inflators

Mon, 23 Jun 2014

Three million more vehicles can be added to the worldwide tally to be repaired for the faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata. Honda, Nissan, and Mazda have all issued recalls to replace the bad part, including about 1.2 million of them in North America. NHTSA has been investigating all three companies, plus Chrysler and Toyota, for potentially affected vehicles.
Honda is recalling roughly 1.02 million Civic, CR-V, Odyssey and Element models In North America, built between April 2000 and October 2002. Mazda needs to repair 14,794 units of the RX-8 and Mazda6, and Nissan has 228,000 vehicles in North America to be fixed.
Chrysler is also starting what it calls a "regional field action" to replace the inflators in the 2006 Dodge Charger, according to a company spokesperson. The company says that it has not yet found the problem in any of its vehicles, but it's being done "out of an abundance of caution." The final number of Chargers affected will be announced later this week.
