2009 Maserati Quattroporte Executive Gt Sedan -very Clean! on 2040-cars
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
I am not a sales guy and will not pretend that I am. I promise to not use cliche and overused sales terms when describing the car. Here's the honest truth on this Maserati:
I ordered this particular Quattroporte to spec direct from Maserati back in 2008. As mentioned above, I will not use terms like "babied" or "tender loving highway miles" because we all know that is generally a lie. If a person has to go out of their way to point something that should be obvious... they are probably full of it. Please let the photos do the explaining as to how well the car was taken care of. I never took it through a Chevron save $3 on an Ultimate car wash if you buy some fuel first and let our minimum wage high school kid take our dusty shop broom and test the thickness of your car's clear coat sorta place. Instead, our company has an agreement with a local mobile car washing business who happily stops by the office once a week to wash cars. That's how it was detailed from day one until just yesterday when they washed it for a final time. All maintenance work was completed at Maserati of Tampa, FL and Maserati here in Las Veags. Quite frankly, driving fast absolutely terrifies me. If I wanted to drive like a maniac I would've invested in a Lingenfelter Twin Turbo Corvette or Viper... I will say this car does have a Stage 2 ECU software upgrade that yields an extra 25 horsepower. My business partner's had a local performance shop install a custom Formula Dynamics tune while I was out of town on vacation. They thought I would notice the difference and call them to ask what they had done to the Maserati! In reality they waited a week until approaching me to see if I noticed a difference. I did not because you actually have to mash the throttle to experience the difference which is something I just do not do. After they mentioned the upgrade to me I tried it out and yes there is a noticeable difference! The car spent half of it's life in Tampa, FL where it's nice and warm (no snow, salt, sandy roads, etc) and the 2nd portion here in even sunnier Las Vegas. The paint still looks great for a 5 year old car with 49k on it. Anyone who invests a little time in learning about Maserati knows the one-of-a-kind craftsmanship that goes into each and every vehicle. Even to this day (5 years after pulling the plastic wrapping off the seats and steering wheel) as I sit in the drivers seat I do not feel like I'm in an automobile. This car is something special. The added roar and growl from the engine is not a necessity rather an added bonus for guys like me Rawrr!!! hehe Please do not hesitate to message me with any questions you may have. The car is available to inspect for yourself if you are in the local area. Good luck!!! *I have clear title in hand *100% Clean CarFax report *Both key fobs are included |

Why Italians are no longer buying supercars
Wed, 08 May 2013Italy is the wound that continues to drain blood from the body financial of Italian supercar and sports car makers. The wound was opened by the country's various financial police who decided to get serious about superyacht-owning and supercar-driving tax cheats a few years ago, by noting their registrations and checking their incomes. When it was found that a rather high percentage of exotic toy owners had claimed a rather low annual income - certain business owners were found to be declaring less income than their employees - the owners began dumping their cars and prospective buyers declined to buy.
Car and Driver has a piece on how the initiative is hitting the home market the hardest. Lamborghini sold 1,302 cars worldwide in 2010, 1,602 cars in 2011 and 2,083 cars in 2012 - an excellent surge in just two years. In Italy, however, it's all about the ebb: in 2010, the year that Italian police began scouring harbors, Lamborghini sold 96 cars in Italy, the next year it sold 72, last year it sold just 60. The declines for Maserati and Ferrari are even more pronounced.
Head over to CD for the full story and the numbers. What might be most incredible isn't the cause and effect, but where the blame is being placed. A year ago the chairman of Italy's Federauto accused the government of "terrorizing potential clients," this year Luca di Montezemolo says what's happening has created "a hostile environment for luxury goods." Life at the top, it ain't easy.
Maserati bringing a car that "opens up new frontiers" to Paris
Fri, 07 Sep 2012We're not expecting to see a production version of the coming mid-engined Maserati coupe, expected to be named GranSport, for another few years; however, we might see it in concept form in just a few weeks at the Paris Motor Show. Australian site Car Advice got hold of an e-mail Maserati sent to friends of the Trident, and the first of the six cars mentioned is a "world premiere of a car that opens up new frontiers in terms of exclusiveness, performance and style."
Car Advice says it has been told that this will be a concept form of the GranSport, the GranTurismo replacement set to take on the Porsche 911 with ample use of carbon fiber and a 1,200-kilogram (2,600-pound) curb weight or thereabouts. The GranTurismo's 4.7-liter V8 hasn't been ruled out of the engine bay yet according to reports, but rumors persist that it will use the Ferrari-sourced twin-turbo V6 with 442 horsepower running power to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and have a 0-60 time of something like four seconds.
We can't see the full content of the e-mail, but among the other five cars that have been announced for the stand are the GranTurismo Sport and GranTurismo MC Stradale. With the 2014 Quattroporte not appearing until the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, the Kubang concept said to be retired before the debut of the production version at the 2014 Detroit show and the Levante still just a wee mule, guesses for the three remaining three would be variations on current models. Not that there's anything wrong with that when it's Maserati we're talking about...
Marchionne threatens to move Alfa production out of Italy
Fri, 12 Jul 2013Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne was unsurprisingly frank when asked by reporters about potential investments in Italian manufacturing for Alfa Romeo and Maserati, giving the Italian government the ultimatum, "Italy should decide if they want [Alfa Romeo's relaunch] to happen here or not as Fiat and Chrysler have several alternatives." Them's fightin' words.
Fiat's issue with the government stems directly from its courtroom clashes with the Fiom labor union. The two are currently embroiled in proceedings over longer shifts and shorter breaks, as Fiom has so far refused to sign a new contract citing revised labor laws that it says are anti-union.
According to Bloomberg, Fiat will be spending over $2.5 billion on development of eight new Alfas and six new Maseratis, in a bid to wrest some of the luxury pie away from BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi. But that's only going to happen if the government is willing to play ball and make life easier on Fiat.
