Drive Type: Rear Wheel
Make: Studebaker
Mileage: 97,800

Here is a well preserved California 1962 'Gran Turismo' Hawk with 'Birth Certificate' from the Studebaker museum. Built June 5, 1962 with a 289 V8, 4bbl
engine number P 92614 (numbers matching to current engine), Borg Warner 4 speed floor shift transmission and Twin Traction differential. Original color when built was Metallic Brown, (with one repaint), tinted windshield original to car, dual floor heater, trunk mounted antenna, whitewalls, undercoating. Built with Tach (not working) and a clock that has been replaced with a vacuum gauge. Complete new interior to original Studebaker specifications has been installed, from the headliner to carpets, dash to cargo deck.
Vinyl interior color option of 'Saddle Tan' with white perforated headliner has been chosen with correct cross pleated seat inserts, pleated door panels with carpet bottom trim. All new carpets with access to master cylinder under pad, black padded dash and colored cargo deck. The rear glass was removed and re-installed for proper headliner installation. A new window gasket as well as sun visor ball and clips were installed to finish off a complete new interior trim out.
All original body panels to car, with two scrapes on right door. One repaint has plenty of shine, but has thin spots on roof. All chrome is in excellent condition because the car spent its life in the dry desert climate of Palm Springs. All original engine runs great, no smoke or rattles, good smooth shift 4 speed transmission, original radiator with part numbers, glass windshield bottle attached to inner fender, original jack and tire tools in trunk. Surface rust on trunk floor, no rot out cancer associated with road salts.
All lights, horn, wipers, door locks, turn signals, working well. Factory tachometer not working, temp gauge replaced with aftermarket, AM radio has heavy static, and windshield washer not working. Sold in its present 'As Is' condition, however the car can be viewed and inspected in Huntington Beach most anytime, clean California in my name with current license tags.

Maserati Grecale and Alfa Romeo Tonale delayed
Mon, Oct 18 2021MILAN — Maserati on Monday delayed the launch of its new Grecale SUV until the spring of 2022 from November this year due to a global chip shortage. The announcement by the luxury brand, part of Stellantis, comes as a shortage of semiconductors forces automakers around the world to slow or suspend production. Maserati said its decision stemmed from ongoing disruptions in the supply of parts. "In particular, due to a scarcity of semiconductors, production volumes would not adequately meet expected global demand," Maserati said in a statement. A global premiere for the Grecale, which will be produced in Cassino in central Italy, was initially scheduled for Nov. 16. Stellantis this month also confirmed it would present the Tonale, the new Alfa Romeo SUV, next March after it had been expected at the end of this year. Stellantis, formed this year though the merger of Fiat Chrysler and France's PSA, has halted production at several plants, including in Europe and Canada, due to the chip shortage. It has forecast it will produce 1.4 million fewer vehicles this year. The FIM-CISL union has said the impact of a semiconductor shortage on Stellantis' Italian production this year will be worse and longer-lasting than the damage to output caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Maserati surprises Manhattan with Centennial edition GranTurismo
Thu, 17 Apr 2014The GranTurismo may be getting a little long in the proverbial tooth, but it hasn't quite been a century just yet. It has, however, been a hundred years since Maserati was originally founded, and to celebrate that milestone, the Modenese automaker has rolled in to the New York Auto Show this year with a pair of special editions. Available in either coupe or convertible form, the MC Centennial Editions arrived as a surprise just as the Alfieri concept was a month ago in Geneva, albeit somewhat less revolutionary.
The special editions are differentiated from any other by their paint scheme, special wheels, revamped interior and special badging throughout. Magma red and Inchiostro blue - the colors of the city of Bologna where the company was founded a century ago - are new to the Maserati catalog, and come with a choice of wheel options with special logos at the center. The interior color is specified to complement the exterior with red, white or blue trim and carbon-fiber accents.
Power comes from the same 4.7-liter V8 as the GranTurismo MC Stradale or GranCabrio Sport, driving 454 horsepower to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. That's said to be enough to propel either coupe or convertible to a top speed of 185 miles per hour, and comes coupled with Brembo brakes and MC sport suspension. Deliveries commence in July, but you can scope it out here in the gallery of live images from the show floor above, the galleries of stock images below and the press release below that.
2014 Maserati Ghibli prototype spied for the first time
Mon, 17 Dec 2012Looking to better compete with mainstream luxury automakers, Maserati has already announced its plans for expanding its model lineup. Now, these spy shots give us our first look at a new, smaller sedan that resurrects the Maserati Ghibli nameplate. Seen for the first time as a prototype rather than a Quattroporte-based test-mule, this is the closest-to-production view of the upcoming Ghibli thus far.
Aside from its name, we don't know much about the 2014 Ghibli, but we do hear that this Maserati, like the upcoming Maserati Levante SUV, will have a direct lineage to a Chrysler product. While the Levante will be based on the Jeep Grand Cherokee, it sounds like the Ghibli could use the Chrysler 300 as its starting point. This means that the standard version of the car could get Chrysler's 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 - rumored to produce around 400 horsepower - paired with the latest eight-speed automatic transmission; sportier trim levels would almost certainly get a V8 from Ferrari rather than using the 300C's Hemi.
As for some of the details apparent in the spy photos, we can obviously see the size difference between these two cars when comparing previous spy shots of the newly released 2014 Quattroporte, which we drove last week. We also see that this car gets some performance-oriented, cross-drilled brake rotors, and based on the depth of the snow in which this car was caught testing, we also wouldn't rule out the use of all-wheel-drive on the Ghibli.
