Offered is a 1984 Maserati Biturbo Twin Turbo coupe. I bought this car last year and brought it out from Denver Colorado as a weekend cruiser but have not had time to enjoy it and tinker with it. Ebay would not accept my vin for some reason. See the photo of the Colorado title for the correct vin. The car had been well maintained by previous owners with receipts showing many thousands of dollars worth of work and upgrades from SuperCars of Denver and various other shops, with a engine rebuild, new catlytic converter, Spearco Intercooler upgrade and various other mods and service. The car was registered in Colorado and driven frequently and well maintained. The tags were good up until 2 months ago. It has sat in my garage since I got it and I have started it and maintained the battery and driven it a few times but I have not been able to enjoy it sue to my schedule. The car has a clean Colorado title and as I mentioned registered and smogged there until recently.

The car has numerous paint flaws and the paint is not shiney but I imagine could be buffed out. I see that it has rust repair in the lower panels and in various spots around car. Some body work looks better than other others. The hood has paint issues. I think the paint looks better in the photos but overall it is decent for a 30 year old car. The interior is in good shape, and surprisingly the leather seats have no rips or tears and are in amazing shape considering the age. The trim on the doors have a lot of wear. There is a small hard to see hairline crack where a rock hot the passenger aide windshield. The antenna has come off but the radio works. Air needs a recharge. Fuel cap door is present but missing logo and needs to re attached at the hinges. The tail light has a piece missing on the left side but it is functioning.

Mechanically it runs and the clutch is good. Some fine tuning is to be expected from these cars for sure. It starts but is a bit cold blooded until warm and will stall until warmed up. I imagine a check on all the hoses etc will be in order on this car. The electrical system gremlins were delt with for the most part and it now has a kill switch that you need to engage before the ignition is turned. The gas gauge is intermittent and recently not working more than it was, as well as the dash lights, but the main electric issues with the fuse box were delt with from what I can see on the records. The electric locks are currently not functioning correctly. The car has tires with good tread and all lights are working. I may have left things out but I am trying to be honest about what I know of the car. Included with the car is 2 thick service manuals and a good portion of the records and service done. The car will be sold as is due to age. $500 non refundable deposit required within 24 hours and the remainder within 3 days in either wire bank transfer (preferred) cashiers check, money order, cash in person or paypal if buyer can pay the paypal fees I am charged of 2.9%. I can help with arranging shipping on the car. Feel free to ask any questions I will answer promptly if I can but I am out of town frequently on business throughout the week.

Maserati ditches hydraulic steering to add semi-autonomous driver aids

Tue, Sep 12 2017

Related: We obsessively covered the Frankfurt Motor Show — here's our complete coverage FRANKFURT, Germany — One of the distinctive aspects of modern Maseratis has been the continued use of hydraulic-assisted power steering. The company used it on the entire lineup from the Ghibli sedan to the GranTurismo sports coupe, touting in press releases that in comparison to now-common electric power steering, it "prevents unpleasantly artificial assistance when the driver turns the wheel quickly." Priorities appear to have changed, though, as the 2018 Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante are all going with electric steering. Those priorities would be adding a gaggle of semi-autonomous driving assists, which as Maserati CEO Reid Bigland confirmed, require electric power steering to fully implement. Specifically, the highway lane-centering, lane-keeping assist and blind-spot assist functions that can steer for you if necessary. Other new semi-autonomous functions include sign recognition, automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. This may come as a disappointment to die-hard Maserati fans, but at the very least, the GranTurismo and GranCabrio sports cars still retain the classic hydraulic steering system. They also don't get the semi-autonomous features, but let's face it, those cars are ones you want to always be driving. As for the rest of the lineup, Bigland insisted the steering is still good. Of course you wouldn't expect anything less from the company's CEO. We'll reserve judgement until driving a 2018 Maserati ( that isn't a GranTurismo) to see if the new steering avoids being "unpleasantly artificial." Related Video:

2022 Maserati Levante Trofeo Road Test | Paint the town red

Fri, May 6 2022

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- It’s a transitional moment for Maserati and many of its contemporaries. WeÂ’re on the precipice of an electric future that is taking shape but not yet reality. Until that day comes, weÂ’re taking our final laps in things like the 580-horsepower Levante Trofeo. Dripping in attitude, sharp design and packing an engine that sounds ready for Imola, this Levante recalls everything Maserati has done well over its 108-year history, which predates Ferrari by three decades. Except for the sport utility body style, this vehicle could have been built by Maserati in almost any era. In 2022, however, itÂ’s not a template. Maserati will replace the Ferrari-built V8, like the one under the hood of my test vehicle, with its in-house Nettuno V6, a 600-hp twin-turbo engine that is MaseratiÂ’s biggest engine project in decades. Ultimately the brand will go all-electric. In the here and now, the Levante Trofeo is an attention-getting vehicle. Even more awe-inducing than the engine, the $17,000 Rosso Magma paint looks like it should come with a parole officer. It's available through the Fuoriserie Corse customization program and is by far the most expensive option on this 2022 Levante Trofeo, which stickers for $173,550. It almost appears iridescent in some lighting. Other add-ons include carbon-fiber paddle shifters ($450), painted 22-inch staggered wheels ($400) and gloss black brake calipers ($500). Being the Trofeo trim, itÂ’s already loaded with the best features from the Modena and GT variants.  This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. This is our first taste of the Levante since Maserati reshuffled the trim lineup for 2021. It wears the updated Maserati emblem and Trident, and Trofeo is spelled out in a script that has a vaguely 1980s vibe. Otherwise, this is the Levante weÂ’ve known for several years. It arrived on a bright and unusually cold spring morning, the booming bass of the exhaust note reverberating through my neighborhood. From the back, it cuts a bit of a Porsche silhouette, but up front the shark teeth grille leaves no doubt this is of Italian origin, specifically Maserati. It recalls things like the Alfieri concept, Tipo 60 Birdcage, and for a deep cut, the 1950s A6GCS racer. While the design up front borders on ostentatious, things are more measured in the back, where the roof slopes gently into the curvaceous fenders. Maserati also gets the details right.

2019 Maserati Ghibli GranLusso S Quick Spin Review | A mixed designer bag

Wed, Feb 27 2019

It's been a minute since we've driven the Maserati Ghibli (our first drive was way back in 2013), the twin-turbocharged, V6-powered smaller sedan from the legendary Italian outfit. In the last couple years, rumors have swirled that the Ghibli would donate its platform to the Dodge Charger and its Challenger and 300 siblings. So, in a sense, our time in Southern California in the 2019 Maserati Ghibli GranLusso S was both a preview of FCA's shared rear-drive sedan future as well as a check-in about how the Ghibli is maturing in general. Not that the Ghibli hasn't evolved in the six years since it went on sale. For 2018, Maserati moved to an electrically-assisted steering rack, mostly to enable driver assistance systems with steering intervention. The V6's output has been bumped in the S, to 424 horsepower. The headlights and grille have been updated, too, to compliment the newer and more aggressive Levante. In Los Angeles, at least, the Ghibli doesn't stand out – the town is lousy with Ghiblis, Levantes, and Quattroportes. Good for Maserati, I suppose, but bad for exclusivity. Nor does the car pop in photos like it does in person. My tester was a metallic, creamy white, which is flat and dull in photos or from far away. That's a shame, because this car has phenomenal contouring. From behind the wheel, the driver's side fender porpoises above the shapely hood. Walking along the side, the curvature of the rear fender where it meets the deep tumblehome of the C-pillar is delightful. Everybody stares at an exotic, but the owner of a Ghibli should feel special contemplating their sheetmetal. This sense of specialness dissolves inside. There are Maserati tridents everywhere, presumably to help you remember that you're looking at the expensive Italian sports sedan you just purchased rather than a riot of low-rent, Chrysler-derived bits. The steering wheel buttons feel cheap and wobbly, the too-shiny center console finish seems synthetic, the prominent lighting and engine start/stop controls to the left of the steering wheel are ensconsed in a dull plastic surround. Some of the aesthetic choices – subjective, yes – are confounding. Take the textile inserts on the seats and door cards. I love the fact that interior designers are playing with textiles, which can be used to great effect. And the pitch here is compelling: an apparently famous Italian designer (Ermenegildo Zegna) used a fancy fabric (mulberry silk) with special weaves and textures.
