1954 MGTF 1250 cc. complete car for restoration. The color of the car is MG red. Currently, the car is a rolling chassis and the body is disassembled. The drive train (engine and gearbox) have been professionally restored at a cost of over $10,000. The SU carburetors have been rebuilt and the manifold aluminized. The chassis is rust free and has a lot of its original paint still in place. All other body and chassis metal has been painted in black and is ready to assemble. Except for the scuttle, petrol tank and doors the body is in gray primer. There's no rust on any of the body panels. The ash frame is in excellent condition. The original chrome is in very good to excellent condition and the original red interior is sufficiently nice that it could be reused, although the leather seats require to be recovered. The TF has wire wheels in their original silver paint. The soft top and side screens (side curtains) are in very good condition and could easily be reused. Nothing is missing from the car – it’s complete with a clear Maryland title. I acquired the car because I could see that it would be an easy, straightforward restoration because it's in such nice condition and because the expensive drive train work had been done. It really needs only the body to be put back on the car and painted. Also, I would replace the wiring looms. However, other projects got in the way and I ended up buying a TF that was fully restored instead of restoring this one. I can't justify keeping two TFs so I'm offering the car for sale. It should be a straightforward restoration with pretty much the only major additional cost being professional painting. Please feel free to ask any and all questions.
