Car Number TD13677 Engine Number XPAG/TD2/14063 EXL/NA Body Type 22381 Body #13048|82968 Odometer 68360 True Miles Unknown Title from 1981 says mileage 0 Numbers Match My Dad bought this car in 1981. He lived in the Denver Area. Now it is in my garage in Southern California. It had been re-sprayed before he got it. It think the original color was Old English White, but I'm not sure. Right now it looks like Jaguar British Racing Green. He drove it around a little, but then put it into storage around 1996 and it hasn't been driven since. It ran and drove fine when he put it there, and I can remember that everything worked, even the vacuum-operated windshield wipers. It was stored in an underground parking garage under a full car cover. At some point it was hit by another vehicle, but we didn't know until we went to take it out of storage. Prior to putting it in there, he was putting new vinyl on some of the interior panels. He removed the center instrument cluster to do that, and he re-attached the wires to most of the gauges and switches. The ignition/light switch still needs to be wired. The car is very solid, with no rust or filler that I know of. It's complete, I can't think of anything missing. The tires are old and starting to crack, and the paint has lots of nicks, chips, and scratches. It looks fine for a (62 year old) driver. The convertible top frame is there and in good condition, but no top. I guess he threw it away. It has a tonneau, but the zipper is broken. It comes with: A new chrome radiator surround ( the one on the car has some oxidation. Looks fine with the rest of the car). The original valve cover. A chrome one is installed. Complete set of side curtains, and some new windows for the frames. A full car cover. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of it. Some other new and used parts that you will see in the following pictures. To get it running shouldn't take too much. I just don't have the time or inclination (I'm no spring chicken myself). You would need to: Clean the gas tank or just install some extra filters and take your chances. Clean the carbs, or at least spray some carb cleaner in there. Rewire the ignition switch. Install a battery (remember, it's positive ground). To drive it, you would also need to address the brakes, as the pedal just goes to the floor right now. At any rate, you could be driving this thing in a very short time if that is your goal. I can help arrange shipping to anywhere. If you are hiring your own transport, tell them it is in-op, but steers and stops ( the handbrake works). A $500 deposit is required within 48 hours of the auction close. You can use paypal. I prefer cash or wire transfer for the balance, but I will take a check if you want to wait for it to clear before moving the car. Please contact me with any questions. On Jun-29-14 at 21:57:44 PDT, seller added the following information: One thing that needs to be fixed on this car is the door latches. The passenger door will stay closed if you close it very hard, but the driver's door will not latch. It needs some fiddling with the hardware adjustment. |
